  • What are some popular leading indicators, because the ones you go through here are all lagging ?

  • First, thank you. i am always useing indicators other than chart patterns. thank you. i still don`t know which is the upper hand.

  • my pleasure thank you for watching. In my personal opinion I think both chart patterns and indicators add value in different types of situations. Best Regards, Dave

  • Dave, thanks for all your videos.

    Are you a daytrader yourself?

A lot of people tell me indicators are lying and I should only trade patterns. That should be good enough. Whats your opinion? Thanks from the Netherlands.

  • Hi Martijnmediph, My pleasure thank you for the comment I am glad you like the videos. I do trade but consider myself more of a swing to position trader than a day trader.

I look at indicators like a tool which is designed to tell me something about the market and not something to be used in isolation to generate trades. So with this in mind I do not think that indicators lie as they are simply a mathematical formula that spits out a result when data is inputed. Best Regards, Dave

  • What is a swing to position trader? How is it different than a day trader?

  • A daytrader normally opens and closes their positions in the same trading day where a swing trader or position trader holds positions generally for multiple trading days. Best Regards, Dave
