man if dave didn't even sing live back when he *could* sing I shudder to think how he's going to sound on this so-called reunion tour this year.
This is such a great song on the CD but Dave doesn't even attempt to sing in this video, he just speaks the words! I have heard that is how most of the Dave-era concerts went. The recording is also just really bad so it's kinda hard to heard anything.
I think Dave does an amazing vocal performance here, considering he is moving at such an energetic pace. It shouldn't sound exactly like the album anyway.That would be predictable. This version is live, after all. You can always hear the recorded version.They are a tight unit here ..completely locked in and David tops it off with personality. That was a great formula.
No band . . . and I mean NO BAND ever blew up onstage like these guys. When you went to a show, you left exhausted, and yet pumped up, like you just had the best sex of your life. Those days are over, but we still have the videos to enjoy.
