My favorite era was definitely around the time they released "these days" (why I'm here!)
It is a masterpiece in my opinion...
That being said (I might get criticised for this) But "the circle" is another one of my favorites, It just demonstrates perfectly how versatile Bon Jovi really are, they can succeed in so many different forms of music (another great example would be lost highway) and It is just testament to how they have evolved and grown together.
These Days era my favorite definitely. I was born in that era, unfortunately not earlier with like 20 years, but I think this was the best era of their lives. Slippery was awesome, Jersey was awesome, but These Days... And then maybe Have A Nice Day.. That was really awesome as well.
@Andybato : born in the 90s. Grew up listening to boy bands. but nothing other than bon jovi songs reminds me of high school, and its definitely not the boy bands or the pop nor the hip hop or clubbing songs.
Favourite era, 80's -90's. My favourite albums has to be Slippery When Wet, New Jersey and These Days! Their music really is the soundtrack to a lot of people's lives and it sure as hell kept me sane!!
that song...wow. i can listen to it over and over again. ITS THEIR BEST ALBUM! EVER! <3 i love Bon Jovi and i wouldnt be a real girl if i didnt add that these days (;d) Jon looked soooo hot and had the sexiest voice. LOVE
BEST SONG EVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LONG LIVE JON BON JOVI o did i mention im 13 and this is way beter than the garbage today i grew up listening to this song
oh for three, four or five years i waked up with this song every morning. i never slept longer than the first 5 seconds, cause i have known what happens after that short intro.
really great song! "hey god, tell me what the hell is going on..."
I think 'These Days' was the album where the band really started to find itself and really understand how to tell a story with their music. They had so much success with SWW, but still, I think this was their turning point.
Bon Jovi is the soundtrack to my life. Keep rocking guys!
Every era is awesome, I guess it kind of depends on where you were in life when the album came out. I was listening to this and Keep The Faith in Junior High, first love/first kiss, so I like this era best.
@Transamstance amen. i like Keep the Faith and These Days the most. its when they were very musically mature and their music in these periods, despite what others might think, was the best it ever was. i think they went downhill with Crush

mine was slippery when wet 1986. thats when i was introduced to Bon Jovi. all his songs inspired me as a child growing up. i went to my 1st concert in 1988. i was 11 yrs old. it was the access all areas tour. they played with AC/DC it rocked!
@carl2isle Cool to hear about that. I think the mid-80s with "Slippery When Wet" to present day is the best of Bon Jovi. I tried giving their 2nd album "7800* Fahrenheit" a try, but it didn't do much for me. Glad you're young and you listen to good music. A lot of people nowadays just don't want to go look for good music and then accept what just appears right now.
@Andybato Keep the Faith, These Days definitely 'cause my 2 Favourite-Songs are on this Albums: Dry County and These Days their best in the whole Time, they never did Songs like this again. But every Bon Jovi Song is a genius Work of the whole Group, and that's why they always will make good Music, Amen :)) PS: Apart from that I'm into the Bon Jovi-Era when they made Slippery etc..... Greez from Switzerland
