@frank1fr Haha, that episode is the only reason I've ever heard of this song, that is one of my favorite X-Files episodes and this song just fits in so perfectly it's almost rediculous.
I saw them do the whole first album at Club 88, I think. It's a long, long time ago. The whole album is great, but this song has so much depth, sadness and yearning. This band's music has definitely stood the test of time.
Still gives me chills. I love the segment in The Decline of Western Civilization when this is playing while X are hanging out in that apartment tattooing each other and being interviewed by Penelope. Billy Zoom wiggling his ears, Exene showing her religious pamphlets while she has the hiccups... CLASSIC...
@gmartinz01- Yeah, he's the one that doesn't get one- he does say that, you're right. John's the one getting them I think (FTTW, the 8 ball, some kind of chain connecting it to something else, etc...) and Billy's just hanging out.
