Lovely, happy dogs. Fantastic job with their training. The tail on Pyrenean Shepherd absolutely cracks me up, so happily wagging under the blanket!

Great job showing that herding dogs can be happy well adjusted members of the family, even when in the city (not just on a farm herding sheep).

Are the constant snack rewards temporary just during training, or are they always required?

They are part of training / shaping behavior, and generally are randomized as the dog progresses with a given exercise. However, training with food / markers is never phased out. If it's done properly, it's not a bribe and your dog will perform whether or not you have food. My quick reply. :)
