I again watched the video of that day. (Bush didn't read to them, they read to him. He exhibits the epitome of aplomb! Would you have him jump up and run out of the room? One can only guess what was running through his mind while he sat there listening to the kids drone on in their reading drills. He knew that it was only a ten minute visit and calculated that it would be best to continue, allowing the children to savor what would always be an important event in their lives.

When he went to Europe after his election he talked about what a great country America is and how Europe should be more thankful for what America has done. Not true. The US uses lighter forms of cancer in its statistics, the EU does not. In the EU, 0 persons per year die because they don´t have health care. In the US, thousands of people die every year because they don´t have health care. People that would have survived with a proper health care system. Obama wants to take care of those people.

Did you know that my great-uncle married a dutch woman. When they retired they retired HERE not in the Netherlands. That's only if you have an emergency, if you need longer treatment to prevent you from dying they kick you out. That's the stupid thing about it. People get denied care, their situation gets worse, and in the end they still end up at the hospital, in worse shape, the community still has to pay for them, only much more money because the situation got worse. It costs more, and there is a bigger chance the patient dies. Obama's plan would prevent that and actually reduce costs.
