Most of my workouts involve plyometric pushups(clap pushups) ,running 1 mile(warm up exercise), Plyometric (Jumps),Chair dips, Jumping jacks.

wow getting the gold star is definitely awesome, our school is trying to maintain our honor unit with distinction next year. But ranger team is the best special team out there, colorguard and drill teams are excellent teams though too, along with marksmanship if your school offers it.

PAC competition for ranger team in 3 weeks! gotta be prepared for that!!!

I've been in JROTC for 3 years now. I am currently a Major and the S-2 for my battalion. JROTC is a great experience, whether you plan to go into the military or not. JCLC is also a very worthwile experience. If you are in JROTC, and haven't gone to JCLC, then you really and truly are missing out on a great leadership experience.

1) No all JROTC programs are no obligation meaning that you don't have to join the military after high school but it does give you an advantage

2) No not all JROTC units just train it is a structured class except it has physical challanges aswell as the challenges it places on your character.

Depends on how good you acted your freshman year, if you started halfway or at the beggining of freshman year, etc...

It also depends on the demand for higher ranks/officers. For example, if you needed a squad leader and you were next rank up, most likely you would recieve the position and a promotion, and the person below you would recieve the spot where you were if he earned it.

Plus some SAI and AI have "favorites" it seems like. But once you get past that, its all the effort you put intoit

In New Jersey, I'd have to get the state to accept a rifle team. There are two gyms in my school, but I doubt there will be JROTC, because those gyms have to be used for regular gym classes. Outdoors, there is a track AND field, but those'll be used for track and sport purposes, and there'll probably be no area for cadets. Lastly, there is a New Jersey gun law, and they might not allow students to use firearms on school property...And think about the money to get all this.
