That's too expensive for me...I'm about to buy a fender roadhouse sometime in the next week or so, but if I have any money left, I'll at least check it out.
@vela75 Actually, i do work and set up guitars professionally, and it's not good to keep the lowest possible action. you get better tone and voicing as well as fewer accidents if your action is in just in the right place in between.
The best strat ever made in my opinion was the fender strat big apple version, Iv'e played every les paul and fender out there, after I got my big apple in 2000 its been my main ax every since, I still try to find one that beats it and can't to this day, every once in a while you can find one for sale.
Yeah, when my guitar was only about a year or two old, it fell face down on the concrete floor of my dad's basement! The only thing that hit was the tremelo bar! It has been a little loose every since, but thankfully, not a scratch was on it. Pretty amazing!
I'm seriously considered getting a strat for my first electric, and one guitar i keep going back to while testing them out at guitar center is the lonestar strat, hopefully it'll be mine someday :D
It is an awesome guitar, no doubt! I haven't played one of the new ones, but I am sure they are excellent. Mine is a 1996 American-made one. I have always loved it. I think it's really cool that they are selling them again. Well, if you are considering getting one, I would go for it! :) You won't be sorry!
did the older models have the same pickup lineup? the two texas specials and the pearly gates? as i play it at guitar center, i'm diggin' the humbucker for harmonics and whatnot, it seems easiest on this guitar, for the fact that it has the slightly hotter humbucker
Yes. My '96 has the 2 texas specials and the pearly gates. I love all the pickups, but I tend to use the pearly gates the most! It has such an amazing sound, and yeah, it defintely is way hotter. You can totally hear the boost in gain when you use that pickup!
Thanks. Yeah, I realized that right after I posted my response. I was using the bridge pickup only...the Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates. I love the sound of those pickups!
Cool!

How much is that pedal? Does it give you a good funk sound as well as a good Hendrix sound?
popomczowzow 3 years ago
You can get a new one for about $215. or so. It is a very versatile pedal. You can get a ton of different styles out of it.

Mine plays like a dream! Your action should be set as low as you can get it without buzz occuring. Then,it'll be very fast! You'll love it!

Are the new ones the same as the old ones?
alexj1467 3 years ago
As far as I know, the only two differences are the bridges are different and the new one is made in Mexico. Oh....and they now cost a lot less!

I have the same guitar except in arctic white. It can pretty much play all styes and I paid 200 for it. I just wish it had a better tremalo.

WOW! $200.! What a deal.

What year is your Lone Star?
dimebonics6604 4 years ago
It is a 1996. I bought it in 1997. I think they came out with the Lonestar in 1996 and made them until 2000. I really love it.

fender princeton chorus is the best amp ever.
great tones, loads of effects, amazing
chorus and reverb.
great vid too, 5*
-you have a very similar style to me
jourdenm 4 years ago
I really love the amp. The reverb and chorus sound really great. It's a VERY loud amp. Probably too loud for our little house!!! :)
That's cool that we have similar syles.

are you running just the H or another combination?
jferagne 4 years ago
I was going straight into the Fulltone and then out to the Amp. I was using some of the amp's reverb too. Hope that answered your question.
