  • I HATE LATE BLIGHT -- i got maybe one tomato and the weather stared to cool next thing i see brown spots every where even on green tomatos, and I had like 6 heirloom plants grown from seed since december (which was really early). I was sooo mad, so this year Im trying to grow them in pots, hoping it will help.

  • The tomatoes on late blight infected plants tend to also get infected and rot and although they probably don't do any physiological damage to a human the secondary bacteria that infect the tomato might sicken a person just due to the texture/consistency of the tomato and possibly some secondary toxins produced by bacteria. In short, rarely edible.

  • If a plant has late blight, does that mean the tomatos on it are safe to eat ?
