What great memories I have have of growing up to the music of the Eagles! I remember my first serious girlfriend when "Best of My Love", was a major hit, and when I proudly wore an Eagles T-hirt to school when "Hotel California", and many other songs from this album were big hits constantly being played on all of the radio stations! live means live- there was no mixing. that's the whole point of a live recording. it's just like a concert- the engineer presets with a sound check and then they just wing it. it's 'picked' afterwards to clear ambient noise, reverbs, string-squeaks, breathing/coughing/talking- other than that it's naked. there's no audience to grow impatient- they can do it twice or 14 times if need be. a real challenge for even an experienced engineer.....
