I think all Apple goods are a great buy - I would prefure if the iSlate (iPad), would be like a mac, and not a slash between a mac and an iPhone, but it is still quite good - I've read about it and watched a few videos both on the Apple Website and on YouTube, and I have to say it's very interesting - I will be buying it anyway, purely because browsing the interent will be a great experience and and you can still do a lot on it!:)

Well, it was a good video for someone my age, I guess. You were almost completely wrong on everything, though. No Flash, no USB, extremely similar to iPhone, not MacBook. Although, I have to give you credit because the hype was about a revolutionary new product to have over a laptop. A few speech mistakes (ex-cetera, a capabilities) but overall nice job.

it looks extremely fragile. wouldnt the screen get scratched really quickly even if it were in a case? apple should make a foldable stand for this product as well cuz it might look silly having your "netbook" flat on the table at hotspots. cuz holding it in one hand makes it be in a very precarious position.

With regards to the name, Apple would most likely keep the 'Mac' name within. Hence iBook and PowerBook were renamed MacBook and MacBook Pro respectively. (The name has caught on, but I prefer the former names lol)

The ultra portable thin light MacBook was called MacBook Air, so think along the lines of MacBook something if it's running the full OSX... just a theory,

I would say that $1000 for a Tablet is a decent price. It depends if you are talking about a Windows or Macintosh Machine. Probably the most common price for a tablet (Windows) is going to be around the mid-$700 range.

yeah it looks awesome and I would really like to own one but I will not pay thousands of dollars for it....

I think 5-600$ is more than enough for it conssidering that it wont be a real pc... you cant upgrade any hardware in the future and so on.

it would really be awesome to own one and I can see myself on an airplane, holding one of those.... though I do not think I will buy one the first couple of years... unless it turns out to be really priceworthy.
