@Cadetsc Because the story was too dark and violent for 4Kids' audience. Violence, people dying and the freakin scary Yami Yugi and his Shadow Games, 4Kids simply weren't allowed to show it.

@Mudstoise oh ok. But what exactly was it about this season that was so "dark." Examples. I mean who died or was sent to the shadow realm, and besides the Shadow Games was in the normal series too. How as this dark?

@Cadetsc Shadow Games were featured in the 4Kids series too, but it didn't really do anything there except being a threat to Yugi to hurry up and win, whereas in Season 0 Yami used it to curse his opponents in many different spooky ways, not suited for scared little kids. Okay admited I don't actually remember anyone dying, but let alone the fact that people occationaly get hurt physicaly is reason enough for 4Kids to cancel the series.

I've never seen "season 0", but in the manga at least one person died. It was in the episode where Tea had a job at the burger place. Yugi balanced a lighter on some guy's hand as the guy poured vodka on himself and the lighter set the vodka on fire and the guy burned to death.

@Cadetsc I mean the last 20 episodes of 5D's were cut out of the 4Kids dub solely because of the mentioning of the word "death" every now and then, oh and the whole "the Arc Cradle is gonna crash into New Domino City and KILL everyone" another word that 4Kids cannot have.

Hell just take a look at how much the NickToons version of DBZ Kai got cencored... jeez

@DragonTaco7 Basicly the fact that even if you used a raigeki that there were still 2 monsters of 3000 AP across you, and in those days there were only a couple having such a grand amount of attack.

(ofcourse you can still use a maneater bug, blackhole, raigeki, and lots of other trap and spell cards for such situations.)

ok i'm confused, can someone help me. it says the audio is from the uncut yugioh dvd. what the hell does that mean. the dvd of the first season of the american yugioh by 4kids? or an uncut dvd of season 0 from japan? what dvd are we talking about here. i'm so confused. help would be appreciated

Still though, the regular 4Kids version and the Uncut versions are both awesome.
