I want to love these pants. There is a lot to love about them but I can't get over the plasticy look to them.

I stopped wearing the taclite pros and just wear BDU's bc the back strap above the pocket started fraying and fading in color... They shouldve made it out of the same material as the bdu belt... and I would agree black fades very quickly that strap faded after just 1 wash...

5.11 pants are great, i use the pocket you have the flashlight for my knife so its really easy to get to. also i agree the black ones have issues.

Very useful video that makes it more easy to choose. Another, for me at least, interesting item is the black key ring holder. Is that a 5.11 brand as well?

These pants are great. They're worth it and better than the Tru Spec 24/7 Pants. I had tru spec pants and they easily tore apart when I was field testing them.

Great video, you should also check out some of the Propper brand lightweight Tactical pants and other apparel like the Tac.U. Similar design to the 5.11 and they come with a free nylon belt. Here in the U.S., they cost around $30 shipped.

@TheMechAlchemist May I ask why the tru spec ones suck I made an order for the 5.11 because they cost a bit less but was thinking of getting the tru specs also and want some feedback on them.

@STRIKER520 I found the "knife pocket" on the tru spec to be underwhelming and pretty much only good for pens, vs the 5.11 which puts it in such a great place plus the reinforced clip area on their other pockets if you care to carry there. The knee area wore out shockingly fast unlike my 5.11s which are still going strong. The sizing is a bit off. I felt the 5.11's waistband was more comfortable. And when sitting in a vehicle the tru spec didnt seem to ride well. IMHO

Milpic, thank you for the review! How is the water repelency? I would like to use them occasionally in rainy conditions, will I get soaked? Here's an idea to solve the problem with the crotch zipper:

Put some parachord through the zipper and tie a not, so you get a small lanyard! :)
