I was watching to this live in Suttgart, i can say it was unbeliveable. I've never saw something like that. It was so wonderful. I wish it wouldn't ends....

If you ever have the chance to see that live, pay any price, it is the best balletperformens ever....

totally great dancers and well done job but to select a symphony? and such a well known one? Then there is the risk that the music is bigger than the dance or the dancers? And it happens in 430? balanchine did it with sousa's stars and stripe but then he made a sort of patriotic ballet? any opinion out there?

good point, and i mostly agree. in most ballets, the music seems to exist for the dance, but here the dance exits for the music, almost like a tribute. it works really well i think.

and, speaking of such, the opening credits to Tarsem's "the fall" are set to the 2nd movement, and it's breathtaking...

Wow. I like this ballet more here than when I saw it in the nineties. Stuttgart Ballet has the most awesome principals. Eichwald, Kang, McKie and Lee are my favourites ! They move me and my friends EVERY time we travel to see them!
