  • This movie is a ton of fun, what it might lack in sophistication regarding make up, or direction, it makes up with pure non-stop crazy action. There's not a single boring moment in this movie, the infected "zombies" of the movie are always on the run, always stabbing and attacking others. Even if the ending is a big slap in your face, this movie should be in the collection of any horror/zombie fan. I take this over many of the lousy zombie movies being made these days.

  • this movie kinda reminds me of an older version of movie "The Crazies" from 2010. because the zombies are more violent and use weapons than just bites and running around saying "Uuhhhh"

  • When I was a child (3rd grade) I watch this film in the movie with my younger sister.... just to tell you that in my country (especially in my town) in the past, anybody can buy the ticket no matter how old are you....

My sister and I was so scared but kept sitting until the end.

THis movie has scared us for almost 6 month!

  • i first saw this movie in 7th grade and it really creeped me out at the end when it said "The nightmare has become reality" very chilling :)

  • LMAO! Is there anything better than late 70's and early 80's Italian zombie flicks?

These movies are so bad, but man I LOVE them. So shitty, corny, cheesy, and ridiculous. But full of gratuitous nudity and gore. I LOVE this stuff. I have to buy this film and add it to my collection!

I have a shitload of Italian zombie flicks, but does anyone have any recommendations for me? I'm always looking for more, especially from this era

  • @GialloHorror The only place i know, well knew of, was hollywood video before it went out of business, they had it on vhs, you'd probably have to search and order online now :)

  • 2:35 Wayne Coyne escapes!

  • 1:49 Same scream used in Zombi 2 during eye gouge.

  • THE NIGHTMARE BECOMES REALITY... *dernDERNdernDERNdernDERNderrderrrrrrrr*

  • Press 9 for teh lolz

  • The nightmare becomes reality...

This movie is silly to say the least

  • Italian film makers really didn't give a shit back in those days. Film after film of tits, gore and bad acting.

    That's a good thing.

  • Badass Hugo Stiglitz!

  • Sigh... xD

  • Just ordered this, cant wait to watch it..

  • What this movie lacks in decent special effects, it makes up for in it's awesome pace, constant change of scenery and nonstop action. Seriously, there's rarely a moment in this movie where nothing is happening.

  • saw this movie first time when i was 9. Kinda freaked me out back then :O

  • EUGENE LEVY Is In NIGHT MARE CITY!!!!!!! Shit!

  • Byronrush: cool! You obviously know your stuff!

  • I agree with richwicz about the vintage Italian zombie and cannibal films....By the way, has anyone noticed that Quentin Tarantino has named a character in INGLORIOUS BASTERDS Hugo Stiglitz in honour of this film's leading man?

  • @eibon81 I did!

  • why they all got poop on their faces?

  • I just watched this flick today, pure class, I loved every minute! I'd put it up there with other cheeseball classics of Italian gore: Zombie Creeping Flesh, The Nights of Terror, Zombie Holocaust, Anthropophagus, Cannibal Ferox, etc.

  • HUGO STIGLITZ FTW!!!

  • i heard this movie sucked lol.

  • 3:30 eye kebab :)

  • now thats what i call acting :]

  • This movie scared the shit out of me when I first saw it

  • it's more funny than scary

  • im sorry but i didnt like this movie, it wasn't scary at all it was just cheesy imo

  • @Frantyx Thats because you like watching movies like avatar you predictable faggot

  • @MassTransit999 wow, that's coming from someone who gets easily offended like a little girl...Ive seen better zombie flick than this, don't get me wrong it was hella gory but it was just a guy having a dream and then he wakes up and it actually happens at the end of the movie, the main character didn't show any sighns of deja-vu towards the end or warn people about it, instead it was a recycled scene... That's just IMO, oh btw avatar didn't interest me enough to watch, I prefer martialart films

  • @Frantyx easily offended like a little girl? Where the fuck do you get that analogy from creep. Are you some sort of pedophile that understands little female emotions? Cocksucker...I wasnt offended....Im not in love with this movie I just know that a dicknose cockhound such as yourself wouldnt know a good movie if it bit you in the fuckin ass

  • cool movie! the 80's ruled!

  • This is one of Quentin Tarantinos fave grindhouse movies, he named a main charcter in Inglorious Basterds after the male lead in this film (the reporter) Hugo Stilitz.

  • Hey, probably an overdone question, but does anyone have any idea where I could watch this online? :P

  • @TheFingledorf just type in on google watch nightmare city 1980 on vidreel easy shit

  • thanks so much to the uploader, i remember watching this as a 8 year old, with my big brother and his mates. i could never remember the name of it, been bugging me for a while, and this is it, incredible

  • this movie made me be afraid of army-looking planes :/

  • What's wrong with you people, THIS IS NOT A ZOMBIE FLICK! #1 They do not eat brains #2 They don't even eat flesh! #3 They're not dead, they're just irradiated people! Come on people, get it together.

  • @fatsachs kinda like newer resident evil games no zombies there ether

  • @falconwesx Yeah, everyone's taking off on this "virus" or "outbreak" concept and straying from the roots of what makes zombie movies and games fun. Killing undead flesh eaters!

  • @fatsach ~

  • @fatsachs Hey genius #1 the only zombie films that specify zombies eating brains are the return of the living deads. #2 If you actually took the time to watch the film you would see that the zombies in this drink blood and eat flesh.

  • @TerrorTastic I've been watching horror movies since I was a child, you've obviously seen a handful or less of zombie flicks if you think the Living dead films are the only brain eating zombie films.

  • @fatsachs give me one other zombie film that came before return of the living dead 1985 that has brain eating zombies. Night of Living Dead doesn't have them, Dawn doesn't neither does day.

  • @TerrorTastic

Would you consider Pet Sematary, Lifeforce and Evil dead movies to be zombie movies?

  • @fatsachs

Would you compare this to 28 Days and 28 Weeks Later?

  • are these zombies even biting or are they just killing like on The Crazies??

  • That looks like a soap opera. LOL

  • these zombies can run, use guns, use cars and drink booze!!!! i wonder if this was the first zombie film which zombies can run

  • @alexnwo78

Yes along with Return of the Living Dead, Lifeforce, The Stuff and Zombi 3 they created fast zombies.

  • bla bla bla bla ....................!!!!!!!!!

  • bla bla bla bla ....................!!!!!!!!!

  • movies back then really knew how to SPOOK u...music...camera lighting...fx

  • @captainrhodes83 You can thank the cheap ass Italian ingenuity for that....they knew how to make a good zombie film horror film with no money...no cgi....awesome stuff

  • Anyone thinks this movie created the fast moving zombie genre before Zombieland, Dawn of the Dead remake and 28 Days and 28 Weeks Later?

  • it looks really funny

  • No way lol

    Hugo Stiglitz?

  • Hugo Stiglitz is a Mexican actor of German origin whose career peaked in the 70s and early 80s. It is said that Quentin Tarantino is a fan of Nightmare City and he named a character in Ingloriuos Basterds after this actor.

  • how'd they land the plane?

  • The Older Zombie Movies seem too Woop on the ones we have nowdays

  • @gilgameshida the old ones were always the best

  • @gilgameshida Is this ironic?

  • @gilgameshida

What do you think of Zombieland or Dawn of the Dead 2004?

  • @gilgameshida so true...anytime i talk about zombie movies to people that supposedly love zombie films, nobody ever knows what movie i am talking about because the gay newage zombie films is all anyone knows...
