  • i think people interpret and over analyze this movie, just enjoy its charm

  • The last movie I bought was Xmen first class I know i'm a pussy.I REALLY hate kids too.. but its a good doc. and pretty funny at tines.

  • What's clear about this film is that, without narration, people interpret many of the scenes in many different ways. I definitely found myself having very judgmental moments during certain parts of the film, wondering if the filmmakers were trying to "say" definitive things about each micro-culture's rearing systems, wondering which baby had it "best" or "worst". That's the idea. We're all seeing the same things, but through a kind of reflective pane of glass. A very cool film for that reason.

  • i understand disliking justin bieber's music for sure. but what i dont understand is someone disliking movies like this! what you dislikers hate human race in general!?

  • where are the middle eastern babies?

  • If I saw a baby in Africa, I would not stop to think before I took it home and checked it for disese from drinking muddy water and being bitten by a dog when his idiot mother wasn't watching.

  • Me and my son watched this last night it was very interesting to see how other cultures raise babies. Honestly watching how the African baby lived made me feel like, yeah i'm low class and i need food stamps, but at least my kids aren't drinking muddy water and chewing on old bones. Oh and i just wanted to shout at the screen when the Mongolian baby was constantly being abused by his brother while his mom was off herding cows or whatever. It really makes you think.

  • @LyeLye hmm interesting because i was just thinking how lucky that baby was to be drinking that muddy water, to be outside experiencing everything, same with the mongolian child and youre sitting there making out its a bad thing? i thought the japanese and american child werent experiencing half as many good things because most of the time they were locked up indoors......

  • @cokerainbows Id rather that baby be drinking clean water without possibility of some african disease getting into his system and killing him, example there could be mosquito larva in the water or some other type of bacteria. The mongolian child yes he was outside, but did you see his mother around? Alls I saw were a bunch of cows that could have stepped on him.

  • @LyeLye Spoken like someone who has never truly had kids or lived in East Africa for that matter. Things are different there. What you expect? For her to call up the water man and say, "Hey, we need abita water." I am quite certain the moms grew up in the same situation and she lived so what is good for her is good for her child. They have been living that way for 1,000's of years, so they are doing something right if everyone is still able to reproduce. Plus, you can't keep your eye on your kid

  • @LyeLye 24/7. Also, unlike "civilized, western" countries where kids go missing because everything is so big and people can get lost and because of guns - a white man concept - these people live in villages where everyone knows everyone, so no one is going missing anytime soon.

  • @HappyHooker83 So you are saying people dont go missing in other parts of the world, and there is no violence in places like africa and haiti and stuff? You would sadly be mistaken if you think that. Im sorry that my views are a little different from yours, sorry I dont give my 1 year old baby a rock to chew on and feed him muddy water. By the way guns were invented by the chinese, along with gun powder.

  • @cokerainbows Secondly the japanese and the white baby werent locked up but at the same time their parents cared enough to stay close to them and give them supervision while they were outside. I remember the japanese baby in the movie was learning to walk outside, it was at a temple or something, and the white baby played outside and swam in the jacuzzi with her mother alot. The white family seemed very free spirited infact, I think they were hippies.

  • @LyeLye That's beacuse those countries aren't as violent as so called "civilized" western societies and everyone knows everyone in those small villages so there is no worry about someone taking your baby! Plus you can't keep your eye on them 24/7. Just ask your mom (I can tell you don't have kids! Spoken just like a true, childless person).

  • @cokerainbows but yeah sorry to have offended you I have a baby and i would never dream of letting him crawl outside by himself, its just how I was taught.

  • @LyeLye well these kids dont have a choice! they live in the natural environment, just like we did before technology, i hardly doubt it will do this child any harm

  • god , cutest movie ever it made me tear up (:

  • They are all charming! Haha, love the banana part

  • great clip. there are many ways to raise a baby.

  • Why s it alway USA to represent people of a light complexion??????

  • @DarkBellatrix probably because they already had a african baby up there and they wanted to be diverse? Also there were probably only a handful of people who signed up to be documented in this way.

  • @DarkBellatrix I know the usa is multicultural, but don't they make up the majority of the US? I've never been there but that's my usual perception of America.

  • i love it when the baby is trin to figure out wether or not she likes the banana! XD oh and the mongolian baby is by far the cutest, :D

  • I mean Mongolian, sorry for that.

  • some of you are so dumb, spewing hate on a post about this docu.,and then the idiot who brought up abortion, smh

  • i just watched this i really liked it,but the san francisco part was so boring.i cant believe someone said they cant wait to have bi racial babies, ignorant.i wonder if theyll be another docu, with babies from different areas,it would be great if she made a few more.

  • @Wagpc what's wrong with wanting to have bi racial babies?

  • @happyangelbaby125 Its not the race thing. Its ignorant use of the words being used. Its sad how much ppl talk about race. Who cares what your kids skin color is going to be. Isnt that what you should be teaching them anyway? That we are all the same and it should not matter about f*cking race!! You should simply love them no matter what color they are!! In this docu it shows no matter where you are from or what race you are, babies are babies. Same fights, same cutesness, same everything.

  • @msaileeniful ok now I understand what u mean. thanx for clearing that up and yeah I agree

  • you can win this on ebay for about $6 new

  • I love the African Babies! So beautfiul!

I cant wait to have bi-racial babies!

  • anyone else think the Namibian mother was sexy

  • @ninlandon

    o_O

  • @ninlandon what kind of sick person even thinks that would be a good thing to type?

  • @timtamtyrant me faggggggggg

  • @ninlandon you fucked in the head

  • The Namibian baby was a girl. That was quite obvious and whats wrong with chewing on some wood now and then? How many kids have crawled around on a kitchen floor- there are just as many germs in an average house as outside, possibly more since outside the sunlight and oxygen naturally disinfect things.

  • @truthseek2002 The Namibian baby is a BOY! Watch the film and you'll see the scene where he becomes fascinated with his penis. The film has two boys (the Namibian and Mongolian) and two girls (the Japanese and the American). he may be seriously cute, but Ponijao (the Namibian) is a boy.

  • @aurianaserena Actually, the Namibian baby, is, in fact, a girl. She doesn't have a penis ... she was just fascinated by the fact that she didn't have one. You could tell, if you look closely, that she's a girl. There's only one boy in this documentary, and t's the Mongolian.

  • @DiCaprioAngel i was sure that the african baby was a boy.

  • @truthseek2002 These last 2 generations have become so germ phobic. When I was a kid we ate dirt and put tons of things in our mouths despite our mothers watching us. It's nature's way of building resistance. We were never as sick with so many allergies, etc the way kids are now. Not saying kids should eat stuff off the ground. I'm saying if you live in a sterile world you will never build resistance to disease. Common sense cleanliness.

  • wonderful movie! you have to see it! It's funny to admit that I laughed so much and they don't even talk. Stop abortion!!

  • Sniper

thankyou I hate it when people fight over the internet

  • kxb0qir and raycist1970 you are both 2 big fucking fags calling each other shit and negro just fuking stop!!

  • @raycist1970 lol....this is fun. Let's dance some more shall we, hill billy jack. First of all, I see that my vernacular confuses you. Not sure what box to put me in quite yet huh? Well, as I said in my previous comment, I'm black. So, either you have ADD or you've done a little too much meth (messes with the memory). Secondly, I'd like to thank you on behalf of normal people everywhere for making your pledge of not reproducing. Lord knows your mutant child would need more health care

  • @raycist1970 with the amount of putrid poison you slug around in your wasteland of a body, you WILL BE dead soon. Then you can be rid of all us "apelings" and there will be one less waste of space in the world using up the normal people's air. You are so funny but please do everyone a favor and do not reproduce. Athough I find it hard to believe that you have been able to find readily available pussy (or dick) other than your cousins and siblings. lol

  • Comment removed

  • @raycist1970 apelings...ha! I'm black and I find your comment laughable. Your ignorant comment, I have to say, painted a picture of you in my mind (however ignorant in and of itself) that made me giggle. You probably have a great big gut from all the beer you drink (which has clearly killed most of your nonexistent brain cells), wear a lot of plaid, missing some teeth (the rest of them discolored) have a very small penis (if a man), or a huge vagina (if a woman) and have a piece of hay contd

  • Grow up fuck heads.. its a fucking movie about babies. Take your racist nonsense and shove it up your mommas ass. You lonely miserable fucks need to find a bridge to jump off of.

  • Aww look how cute they all are!!

  • Am watching the movie as we speak. As an African, although I like the movie, I think it is unfair that they are comparing people from diverse economic backgrounds. In other words, they could have gone to South Africa and show a baby from a middle to well-off family. This just perpetuates the stereo-types about Africa. Africa is way more diverse than even America economically and otherwise. There are poor people and the are extremely rich people and everything inbetween.

  • Funny, the Nambia baby was my favorite. So much precociousness!

  • Go on on demand!!!

  • PEOPLE answer me where can i buy the movie?

  • @ariadnag45 Don't know where you can buy it, but i just watched it on netflix on demand, and it was amazing.

  • The planet is already full, and facing MASSIVE CRISIS in the next 25 years, floods, TSUNAMIS, WAR, POVERTY, UNEMPLOYMENT, the ICE CAPS ARE GONNA MELT AND CAUSE MILLIONS TO LOSE THEIR HOMES. Read about it if you care to do something besides fawning over kids for 5 minutes.

If you care about kids, DON'T HAVE ANY they will SUFFER DEEPLY AND HAVE NO FUTURE.

  • @blix990 Fuck you!

  • THE POPULATION HAS GONE FROM 1 MILLION PEOPLE -- TO 6 BILLION -- IN JUST A FEW THOUSAND YEARS. DONT HAVE KIDS.

    DONT HAVE KIDS.

    DONT HAVE KIDS.

  • Betsy Sharkey wears a wig

  • where are the parents when these kids are hurting each other

  • @graywolfmnld2008 Watching with the camera man?

  • in the background are they killing that cow? :'(

  • @iheartreborndolls Probably. Not everyone gets to buy their beef in a nice little package at the grocery store. I am I think scarred for life after being present for the killing of a pig in Romania (At age ten). In Peru they sell the chickens and other fowl with the heads on, but if you do not want the head and feet they, umm, remove it for you. =O

  • Oh man, I agree. Bayar, the Mongolian baby steals the show, and Mari, the Japanese baby, has the most hilarious temper tantrum ever. All four babies are precious... but then again so is mine! And all babies everywhere pretty much.

As a warning for lactating mothers... nurse your babies or wear nursing pads during this documentary! It's that kind of movie.

  • "Feel good movies" are truly something that television and the big screen need more of. "Babies" looks like it's a film with good natured entertainment as it's key. I don't know about the rest of you, but when I come home from this problematic life, the last thing that I want to see is a bunch of people cursing and shooting one another, in these, violent, over exaggerated, over blown movies. I'd rather see something, lighthearted, and easygoing, such as "Babies". I really want to see this film.

  • @mjkjsa Quite the opposite. And people have children because of their beliefs and because it is nature to reproduce, and they have love to give. People often have larger families because they consider children to be a blessing/treasure. If you think that the government wants people to have lots of children think again. Just google or youtube search eugenics, nwo, etc. and see what you come up with. It will blow your mind.

  • i saw this movie on on demand, and it was the cutest and moving movie i have ever seen! and i've seen "little rascals"!

  • This is the most adorable movie you will ever see. And it is totally real.

  • Ahahahaha thanks for the review sharky

  • This looks so cute! I want to see it. On the other hand, the music already annoys me after watching the trailer twice.

  • hahahhahah i like this !!!!

  • well at least he didnt hit him with the rock. OMG.. I cant wait to see this movie. is it out yet?

  • @WonderWomanFan4life next week

  • Woww, those African babies look smart...I kinda wish I lived like that so I'd probably be ready if something happens aha.

  • penis

  • Great review Betsy. I look forward to seeing Babies! I helped film a documentary about art cars. It explores the lives of some artists and their creations. They are adults, but some of them have held onto a piece of being a child...okay, baby...there, I said it! Automorphosis ... the trailer is on YouTube. It's more off-beat than Babies, but equally charming.

  • I absolutely loved this movie! I truly recommend it! I think it was the first time I watched a movie where EVERYONE couldn't stop laughing.

  • beginning is so funny

  • Awwwwww!!! Babies! Lol but the first clip, I really wouldn't give a baby a necklace....

  • I love the african baby! It's like cuteness overload at the begginging!!! >..<<<

  • @psp1hackers1 those criatures arent babies, animal larves maybe

  • isnt it 5

  • I dont think that's the discription of Africa. Am from africa and I have travelled alot in Africa. Why would you use alittle part of Africa instead of majority. I know Africa might be poor, But Thats rudiculous to use that picture. Why didnt you use American Ghetto child? You people have made africa as an animal and poor place. It just shows how uncivilized you are. I hate it. It makes me sick!!!

  • @king5kg wow. calm down. The maker of the movie said a powerful thing. Of all the babies he felt as the baby w/ the least excessive stuff (my words) was the happiest etc. & that's how it is for alot of ppl that are'nt wealthy. There children usually have a unmistakable bond of love that was not made through things but quality time. Try not to be to upset. The mongolian baby did'nt have alot of material stuff. The love from parent to baby was beautiful; stuff does'nt matter. Point

  • @king5kg . I am from Africa, and as much as I get what u r saying , I differ in the fact that we Africans have been made by the western world to think that our original way of life means we are poor, dirty and all the bad things one can think of. The way I see it is, Africans who still live like the fore fathers do so cause that is all they know, and it is okay. We Africans should take it upon ourselves to let the ignorant west know that they too once lived like that.

  • @king5kg because if they use American Ghetto Child it would get shot during the movie, think before you type. Do you think American gangs are a joke? the bullet don't know baby or wall

  • @bikemtn F U. you don't know what the hell you are talking about. Am sure you've never even been to a ghetto. You are more likely to get shot if you go to a redneck area with their obsession with property rights and gun rights.

  • The Mongolian baby is so adorable ! kiss kiss :-)

  • I wanted to see this but then I watched a review and the theater was full of mothers with screaming babies. I guess that's to be expected, so I'll wait and order it on Amazon.

  • totally charming!! I love the namibian baby!! cant wait for watching this!

  • Spanish ?

  • @casillas91 WTF is ur problem....u need to go see a doctor fuckin perv

  • @casillas91 WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?!??!!??! no seriosly! what the fuck!.... WHAT

    THe

FUCK!!!!!! my capitals and punctuation is all fugged up cus U made me pissed !!!!

  • I want to see this. does any one know if its coming out on dvd?

  • I live in france and see it in a theatre yesterday... Not boring at all and a lot of fun ! I dont know if US version is the same coz the lot of "naked" scenes generally censored in america...

  • looks boring.

  • @rubikscube10111

you are lame my friend !!! When I saw the trailer....the first 10-20 seconds, I couldn't believe that someone has captured on film the reactions and ' conflict' between two cute and adorable babies :D I can't wait to see the documentary :P

  • @rubikscube10111 you have no soul then

  • lol yes banana!

  • Where can you watch this movie online

  • @nebhida anyone online that claims to have it is a hoax... it's barely if at all in theatres yet

  • @fatfuckfucker hahahahhaa funny abortion rules lol

  • @fatfuckfucker

    Praying for you. :)

  • @fatfuckfucker LMBO at you troll

  • @fatfuckfucker I think that while your comment is validly funny, I doubt it is valid. lol. nice try though.

  • I want national security. No rioting in the streets or martial law will be called in to discipline the anarchist children.

  • Uh check my favorites I Iove bulldogs and Biston terriers.

  • i agree with her review. even though it is kinda slow, it is so endearing and charming. the Mongolian baby was HANDS DOWN my favorite. his facial expressions, his little voice, and the situations he got into were adorable

  • @lenalena111 I loved it when his brother pushed him outside and left him there lol.

I feared for the little Namibian baby so much...everything he got his hands on he put in his mouth. I was screaming at the screen, "Take it away from him!"

  • @KrazieKennie that was such an adorable part!!

  • It is a documentary about, BABIES! Babies located in 4 countries, 4 cultures, and 4 different families. It is touching, sweet and filled with funny clips. If you have your own baby, I do recommend that you bring your own baby with you when you are going to see Babies! It make every days, Mother's Day! It is perfect also when seen on Father's day too, as a father's day gift.

  • I wanna watch this movie!!

    It's a MovieTv or Cinema??

  • Babies are Awesome!!... when they're little. hehe

  • I don't like children. They annoy me easily, but this movie was so funny and cute... I recommend it.

  • this is too cute..=)

  • ENTIRE MOVIE IS BABBIES
