Here's an easier way to play it

Hit the low E open twice. Then hit the 7th fret A string once, back down to the 5th fret A string, then back up again to the 7th on A .... Next, hit the 5th of the low E, play it in quick to the 7th of the E .. then finally hit the 5th of the A, and play it in quick to the 7th of the A. Just listen to the track

The chords to Wild Cherry's "Play that funky music" are E6, Eflat6, E9, G9, B9, from what I can remember...I don't have it available at the moment but if you play around with those the rest will should come to you. I can post the rest if you need them.
