  • Hi there, i recently purchased a Aceco fc1002 frequency counter its supposed to measure upto 3ghz yet it does not detect any mobile phone frequencies? is this normal?

  • @12tribeff

    Yes, it is normal.

Mobile phones are a digital signal, not analouge. Same applies to wifi and bluetooth.

Go to your local shopping centre, follow a security guard. When he fires up his radio, you can easily capture that.

  • @cornz38 hi, just wondering if U know any frequency counter which can pick up digital signals like mobile phones ect, Thanks ..

  • @MegaArtan1

    Sadly not!!!!!

I'd be the first in the queue for one. Main problem is they use encryption and the hardware needed to decode it is prohibitively expensive.....

    Sorry.......
