i am addicted to melrose my aunty has up to season four she got me addicted, i love how there is so much drama, love, lust, hate it is such a good show very entertaining

The Amy Locane character was Sandy. At the end of the first season she went off to Hollywood to be an actress. Her character didn't go over well. I believe Vanessa's Character was written out with Explanation but I could be wrong.

They even changed the pilot theme on the DVD box into the familiar one they used for the rest of the show. Don't know why they did that... i almost forgot that the first episode had this theme.

I don't remember this intro being used in syndication, at least not when CFMT from Toronto played the show way back in 1996.

I can't speak of the DVD because I didn't watch the pilot, seeing as I had downloaded that episode a week before buying the set.

This is NOT the original opening. When the show became popular they decided to re-air the pilot and change the opening to make it stand out.

That was basically what the show was in it's first season, a "dramatic" Friends. Thankfully they spiced it up, but the last few years were just dreadful. To the point where I had stopped watching it because it was just too painful, and there were too many new characters to get into.

That was the plan, but they realized nobody gave a shit about her, or even remembered her.

Courtney Thorne wanted to show up for a cameo, but she was sick the day they were shooting. Which begs the question, why not just put off that scene for another day? I would imagine shooting a 45 minute episode would take a good week or so.
