For those who think that Tobi is Obito let me ask you this question: Why would Obito want to destroy the hidden leaf? When we last saw him as a child, he was just like Naruto. He would give his life for his village and his friends. Why would he go out to destroy that village. Also Tobi showed up during Naruto's birth and he had the body of an adult. Isn't Kakashi in his late 20s now and was a teenager when the village was attach? If Obito did survie the attack he would've been much younger.

So my theory is that Rikudou, who's got something in relation with the technique Naruto is using to control Kyubi, is directly related to that symbol of eddy's village.IMO Rikudou was an Uzumaki, had two boys who created Senju and Uchiha clans, while Uzumaki, the Rikudou's clan, lived far away from the two clans' battles. i've been reading chapters 498, 499 and 500 again, and something occured to me.
1. Kyubbi's reaction when Naruto seals it.
"This is... the sage of six paths'..." What I understand here is that Naruto does something that used to belong to Rikudou. We can assume that Kyubi is talking about the sealing technique Naruto is using. You guys tell me if I'm mistaking.
2. Kushina, when talking about her to Naruto tells us about the blood relation between Senju and

I really liked the chapter, I was suprised to see Sasuke and plus the fact he doesn't keep the new outfit we saw him wearing in 553. Looks like the 5 tails is getting abused by Tobi, poor guy, and the part where Hachibi closing his fist, hoping to crush Tobi. It was phased and Tobi seems to have a new chakara jutsu.

Seems Tobi really does know kakashi. I don't want Tobi's I.D to reveal him as obito...but I kinda do it'd definitely be an interesting twist. Naruto made a comment that tobi had a stake in his chest and kakashi mentioned it was like pein's peircings. THis suggests that tobi isnt the mastermind either and is a puppet. Tobi comments on kakashi like he knows him? he also commented on his sharingan. I believe tobi is a resurrected Obito.
@nolp7 heres a theory, madara revives obito and makes it a (more or less) permanant revival but after giving the plan to obito, dies and leaves obito to pull off the plan. obito might be more worried with madaras revival as he fears that madara ma re-kill him. that might help to explain the rather large reaction given by tobi with the coffin. it isnt that obito is fake, rather he is a fake made into something real... reply back with your thoughts on my theory... i mean everyone... @kingofbrawl3000 i agree that there is a problem but in retrospect, obito could have been more powerful than everyone thought, and/or madara could have met him and taught him. just remember that madara has the rinnegan and so that implies a chance that obito was taught by madara. i mean if you look at pictures of the two side by side, there are similarities. also, madara might have revived him without his original personality leaving him with memories that may not mean anthing.

Tobi is a zetsu clone, here are some things that hint this:
Itachi: "madara(tobi) is a shell of his former self"
Zetsu clay came out of tobi's arm when he ripped it off fighting danzo's guards
Kisame met the real madara, who was controlling the mizukage, kisame said madara was the real mizukage since he was pulling the strings, when tobi took off his mask for kisame, kisame referred to him as mizukage(Madara).
@lordbrioan But why would a Zetsu clone hide his identity? Why would a Zetsu be scared of Madara? Zetsu can only shapeshift, they cannot use abilites like the sharingan.
@IvanGaro Zetsu clones are made of the exact replica of a person. Appearence, chakra, etc. Tobi would be scared of Madara because of what Madara can do with his rinnegan(for example that giant meteor). Tobi probably took madara's eyes and tried to find a good user for the rinnegan(nagato since he's an uzumaki).
tobi is such a interesting charecter its killing me to find out who he is. im pretty sure hes not obito, just cuz he can make himself like a ghost dosent mean hes obito. besides that would be some sort of other jutsu not a eye technique, cuz you cant do stuff like that to yourself with a eye technique. maybe its a kekkei gankai? it could just be some dude with a OP kekkei genkai that took sharingans and called himself a name that feared by all... Just to clear this up with some people that don't know. The reason tobi has that chakra rod in his chest is because that's how he's linking himself to the jinchuuriki so he can control them.
It looks like Sasuke will probably fight/kill Sugetsui and Jugo as he is completely bad and they have NO idea what happened to him and Karin. I had to reread the last page before I realized Naruto didn't become the 9 tails it was just the 9 tails in in his subconscious. I think when Sasuke reaches Naruto, Tobi is going to to use the teleportation move to send Naruto and Sasuke to another location. That way Naruto and Sasuke can have their final battle that Tobi stated he was going to make happen one way or the other and so it will make defeating Kakashi and Guy and capturing Bee that much easier. This will also force the army to divide its forces, half going after him and half going to make sure Sasuke doesn't kill Naruto.
I'm gonna make up a theory that makes no sense. Tobi is the son of the First Hokage. The First Hokage's wife was of the Uzumaki clan which explains his sealing techniques. He hated being born a Senju which is why he's pretended to be an Uchiha this entire time (when he's really a Senju-Uzumaki). Does this make sense? No. Will people believe it? Probably.

@Friecelbu Yeah the only reason people are saying it's Obito is cause of the eye ability but the eye abilities of Tobi and Obito are different. Tobi's one is short ranged while Kakashi's one is long ranged. Plus Tobi's one allows him to transport himself as well not just an object he wants like Kakashi's. If Obito's eye could do that then Kakashi probably would be able to do everything Obito can, hes a master of justus and has intense knowledge.
I believe that Masashi-san placed Kakashi and Gui at the battlefield with Naruto for the following reasons. What if when Kakashi activates his Mangekyou and Tobi's Mangekyou activates at the same time. I think that Masashi-san is hearing what the fans are saying, not only in Japan but in other countries, so I guess to keep the fans happy I believe that Masashi-san has picked Obito to be Tobi's identity. I think we are overlooking the fact that Tobi used a technique that looks exactly like the one Naruto's mom used when she was fighting the Kyuubi. Might be a good indicator that whoever Tobi is, they are from the Uzumaki clan.

@Astarahl im pretty sure that chain is a bloodline technique, doubt he would be able to copy it with Sharingan, but who knows with all the eye implanting, dna graphing, etc, I'm sure he found a way to use it. Honestly though, I would rather just stick to my original suggestion that Tobi may possibly be a survivor/descendant of the Uzumaki clan.

I'm all for the theory that "Tobi"=The Sage of The Six Paths.
Think about it, he keeps telling Konan, that he was getting back HIS Rinnegan.
He was shocked to see Madara one of his own blood descendent alive again.
Plus he's probably the only one that knew and has the power to get the Ten Tails back.

Itachi: "madara(tobi) is a shell of his former self"
Zetsu clay came out of tobi's arm when he ripped it off fighting danzo's guards
Kisame met the real madara, who was controlling the mizukage, kisame said madara was the real mizukage since he was pulling the strings, when tobi took off his mask for kisame, kisame referred to him as mizukage(Madara).

Appearence, chakra, etc. Tobi would be scared of Madara because of what Madara can do with his rinnegan(for example that giant meteor). I think when Sasuke reaches Naruto, Tobi is going to to use the teleportation move to send Naruto and Sasuke to another location. That way Naruto and Sasuke can have their final battle that Tobi stated he was going to make happen one way or the other and so it will make defeating Kakashi and Guy and capturing Bee that much easier. This will also force the army to divide its forces, half going after him and half going to make sure Sasuke doesn't kill Naruto.

I'm gonna make up a theory that makes no sense. Tobi is the son of the First Hokage. The First Hokage's wife was of the Uzumaki clan which explains his sealing techniques. He hated being born a Senju which is why he's pretended to be an Uchiha this entire time (when he's really a Senju-Uzumaki). Does this make sense? No. Will people believe it? Probably.

Tobi's one is short ranged while Kakashi's one is long ranged. Plus Tobi's one allows him to transport himself as well not just an object he wants like Kakashi's. I believe that Masashi-san placed Kakashi and Gui at the battlefield with Naruto for the following reasons. What if when Kakashi activates his Mangekyou and Tobi's Mangekyou activates at the same time. I don't think he could control all of them that well which leads me to the question what did he do with the one tail shikaku did he make himself the host of it leave it in the gedo statue or is he borrowing enough of it's charka to control them for the battle

@MegaMumbler I wonder about tobi though, i mean is he just a body made up of more than one entity, i mean think about it, if tobi actually created an live dna figure of harishima, the one it showed stuck in that gedo statue, then who's to say that tobi doesnt have more than one soul in that zetsu like body of his, i mean its just a theory, but i think he's more than 1 entity, since one of the pain abilities were able to steal souls from bodies.

@TheCluelessReviewer its not an obsession just a fun theory to throw around, one of the mysterious of Naruto is Tobi's identity and Obito's whole story always seems like a fun point to go back to. That's my take on it ^__^

@ForneverWorld yeah since the Obito Arc, like when I was growing up and we finally saw a pic of Tobi I always wondered and was fasinated of who he was. Like look at the facts well kind of fan made facts lol Tobi has a mask that covers one eye (well use too), Kakuzu could of repaired Obito and then something snapped, and yeah it is fun trying to figure it out cause it makes the character more mysterious and lets the Naruto community speculate and wonder in awww.
