The basic morph wasn't actually one of the regens, lol, it was just showing the footage I was working with. I wasn't using an incredibly good program for the morph which is why it wobbles so much.
The Logopolis one is my favourite, too, and I wouldn't need a morph to transform it so there would be no wobbling. When the Doctor regenerates in my series after a few seasons I think I might use that one.
Surely FX#4 is Time and the Rani inspired? I think that one's the best because to be honest for your regeneration, the first guy just looks like the second guy in a different wig.
Actually, now you say it, it does look more like Time and the Rani. I was trying to go for the whole vortex-style one of Caves.
The trouble with Lego is, there isn't much of a variation. I tried to go for a minifig with hair actually on the face decal for the second Doctor to try and make it look more like a different person.
I never liked the standing-up regenerations anyway, especially when done every single time. RTD should have varied it a bit, maybe done the one from Tennant to Smith a new way. Now when a different way of doing the regeneration happens, loads of noobs will go "WHY DID THEY CHANGE THE CLASSIC REGENERATION EFFECT?" like it wasn't always different before that. And this will be annoying.
Agreed, I always thought that the volcano-ness of Chris's regeneration was because he was expelling the time vortex at the same time as regenerating. I think if RTD really did want to use the same effect again he should have made it green or red to show him expelling the Nuclear radiation.
My favourite effect is always Tom Baker's regeneration, I love the glowy face that fades into the new actor.
That's what I thought as well. When the Master regenerated I wondered why they were using the volcano effect, as the Master had only been shot with a bullet. Then on Confidential RTD said that it would help people to recognise that the process was the same as what happened to the Doctor a couple of years before. Imagine if the Doctor had regenerated into Smith on the floor of the radiation booth with no fireworks at all. That would have been so great - no stupid goodbyes and no Christ pose.
I love Tom Baker's regeneration as well, and the whole idea of the Watcher looking over the events of the episode, but it always annoys me that Davison doesn't quite line up properly with himself when he goes from white face into normal face.
Ah well, we can forgive him 'cause he's an awesome Doctor, my second favourite behind DT. Mind you, even though Tennant is my favourite Doc I'm that sad to see him go, as I know that Regeneration is part of the show and Matt Smith will be awesome :D
For a split second when he collapsed to the floor I seriously thought he was going to look up as Matt Smith, but then I'd already seen the filming of the goodbyes on Gallifrey Base so.
It would have worked as a really nice understated and unexpected way of ending Tennant's time. But you know RTD. He can serve up a wonderful meal, but then just as he's about to put it on the table in front of you, he'll do a little shit on top of it.
They were more restrained, but still annoying. Series 1 had the disappointing revelation of Bad Wolf - a post-it note through time that didn't need to be those specific words after all. And then gradually the series finales became bigger and bigger threats that had to be resolved in more and more sudden and contrived ways. RTD was just unable to resolve a story without an unexpected panel of buttons being nearby or the Doctor rising up on a purple cloud of fart because of the power of words.
I think that Bad Wolf/Parting of the Ways were good because of Eccleston's fantastic acting. Mind you, my favourite episode of NuWho ever has to be Dalek in Series 1. Loved it.
Whereas I hated the Sound of Drums/Last of the Time Lords. I do not like Simm's Master, as the Master is not manically insane, he's a bit mad, but more mad in the way Vincent Van Gogh was mad, not The Joker. I loved Utopia because I thought Jacobi was perfect as the Master for his five minutes - shame he regenerated.

I think the first basic morph is good, its just it looks a bit fake cos all the screen wobbles. i also like the logopolis one.

No no, it's funny when they look nearly the same apart from the hair.

Lol, I was going to do a Doc9/10/11 style regen but it didn't really work due to the minifig laying down.

Lol, I still think the best finales RTD wrote were his first two, where he wasn't trying to overdo things or make things epic-er.
