I can answer your question about Snow Leopard....
When you buy Snow Leopard for $29 you are buying the complete operating system not just an upgrade. Apple labled it as an upgrade becauseine of costing.
You ARE able to format your drive and do a clean complete install of Snow Leopard with the $29 disc.
you claim windows 7 pricing is more expensive yet it can be installed on any pc hardware, noone even has to buy leopard since it comes pre installed on the only machine that can use it (aka the mac) anything else is an incrmental update you are getting charged for. (aka snow leopard) i don't remember ms charging for service packs
With Snow Leopard you are getting under the hood improvements, like QuickTime X, a substantially smaller footprint on the OS, overall speed improvements, and in VoiceOver you are getting help messages and being blasted right into the tutorial the first time you fire it up. THat doesn't sound incremental to me.
Hey, If you are a student, you can get Windows 7 Home Premium for $29.99. I bought it and it works great. Reply if you want me to send you the Microsoft link...
I already saw the post about the problem. I installed Win. 7 a couple nights ago using the installer program and had NO problems. I'd say it was a very small percentage that had an issue..
u crazy my dude....start upgrading my dude cus apple is the best computer maker and the future...and trust me u dont even know what apple haves on there design book.....so...chillax window user!!...
ive been using windows 7 for 6 months now.. granted its not the RTM version but its pretty close release. Its a vast improvement over vista but it still has its hicups and random program exists. It also is much faster than vista and a necessary upgrade. There are many programs that you can get your upgrades for free (forgot links), but there are ways to obtain vista > 7 free.
in any event its not bad pricing and remember Windows = 96% of market, mac is 4 % .....
My experience with 7 so far has been very positive, but I've been a Mac user for the past 7 years and one thing that has come back in my use of Windows 7 has been the little annoyances (like popups telling me i plugged in a headphone) that Mac doesn't have.
Not with commitment to accessibility. Sure, you have the zoom utility on the Mac that has now been matched in Windows, but Microsoft seriously lags in the screen reader market. Snow Leopard has a screen reader that allows a full help mode, tutorial for the very first time you fire it up, and the ability to set up Snow Leopard WITHOUT any sighted assistance. These features are still sorely absent in Windows. In order to get some of those features, you must pay $500-$1,000 for 3rd party software.
fuck window 😁

The style of presentation reminds me of AM radio, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

About Windows 7 pricing.
Guys.. remember that low price of OSX Snow Leopard upgrade is that low because they CAN'T be sold without Macintosh computer.
Microsoft don't sell their computers, so the price is higher.
I know i know. I wish price would be lower.
p.s. Pricing in PL vs US for BOX version of Win 7 ultimate:
PL - 1200pln = 413$
US @ amazon: 320$ = 929pln
Remember that in PL statistical monthly salary is: 3100pln = 1070$
As Cartman says: "lame... lame dude..."
