Fantasia took to this like a seasoned performer. While Diana was cute here, it was evident who the winner was going to be. But, the way that Fantasia put her arm around Diana's shoulder and gave her the little kiss on the cheek, they almost looked like big sister and little sister. But, when they hugged each other at the end, it was like a mother hugging her little girl. Don't know about everyone else, but it was clear to me who the winner was this night...:)

I knew that Fantasia would win, that was without a doubt, but I loved seeing her perform. So, I was glued to the TV the night Fantasia and Dianna went head to head. Diana gave a good effort, too, but it was all Fantasia that night:)

Watching this back almost six years later, Diana and Fantasia may have not been the most favorited Top 2 in American Idol Finale history, but they DID sound the best together vocally. To this day, Diana DeGarmo still is THE best 16-year-old I've heard that's come along American Idol. She had such a phenominal range and powerhouse vocals, where as Fantasia was also amazing, but was done right an entertainer. Diana should've won over Fantasia!! At 2:28-3:32 Diana's voice powered over Fantasia's.

This was a common sense decision...like night and day of who's clearly the better singer. Fantasia outsang this poor child without any effort. Its like listening to a amatuer VS a professional. It was kinda interesting how the show tried to play up Diana degarmo's vocal talent to compete with Fantasia's when in actuality , her ONLY competition was Jennifer Hudson and Letoya London...who did ocassionally outsing her. Either way the cookie crumbled the right person won the competition that year.

This was actually a pretty darn good vocal performance from the pair of them. Well done ladies! Plus, Fantasia kicked it up a few cuteness notches at the end with "Mine. I broke it bobo-ing!" I see that people think Fantasia was hogging the spotlight, but prior performances would show that Fantasia performs with her whole body (especially her arms and hands!). The arm would have shot up if Diana were there or not! Just pay attention people!

This was cool to see. Diana, for 16, showed major progression as an artist and Fantasia was just overall an entertainer. This version of this song still gets me up on my feet.
