My 07 Hyundai Accent now with KFX Performance Headers.

after you installed the headers, did you get cel engine check light ? if you got it how did you fix it ? did you get the non foulers to reach the 02 sensor ?

yeah i'm actually still running with the cel on right now lol. the second o2 sensor plugs in right after the stock exhaust manifold since theres a cat in the stock manifold. but there's no cat in the megan racing headers so you'll have to extend the second o2 sensor past the second cat (the one the headers attach to). so you'll have to extend the wires plus weld in a new hole for the o2 sensor, something i dont have the tools or know how for.

@afkusa i'm too embaressed to say lol. i kick myself every day for getting an automatic, in my defense i got an extremely good deal on it, and have been tempted to convert it to a stick. it used to be 12 or 13 seconds but now it's down in the 9s...which is what i'd be running in a stock manual accent. so it's not a fast car but it's still a fun little car.

I want to put headers in, have you been happy with this type of headers? where would be the best place to order them? I already have an intake like yours. Did you need to change anything else to get the headers in? Thanks :)

@TBOBINA41 just expect kfx performance to take about a month before they ship it out to you. they're a little slow.

@TBOBINA41 oh nice wish i had the sr. the kfx headers are nice and definitely gave me a little bit of an increase in power. nothing drastic but noticeable. installation took about five hours cause i didn't have any power tools but it was a simple bolt off bolt on. where the headers connect to the cat converter you'll have to drill a new set of holes because they dont match up at all. with nothing but hand tools i had to take it to a shop and pay them a few bucks to do it for me. kfx is good.

oh for sure just waiting for spring to hit. its not much fun working on the car at 10 below zero lol. plus i still have to do more research on what kind to get...definitely dont want to waste my money on a shitty sounding exhaust.

hey man, i just put a intake on my 08 accent and it makes this huming noise now, is that normal? i have put intakes on everything i have ever owned but they never did that.

Yea you have nothing to worry about. I just put in a weapon r secret weapon intake into my car (i definitely recommend it there was a noticable increase in horsepower and torque compared to the intake i have in this video) and its humming now. plus i used to have a ford contour and when i put an intake on that it started humming too. it's never caused me any problems it just gets a little annoying sometimes.

@MrLinc0890 ok cool, thanks for tha info. i have seen the wepon r intake on ebay but i thought is was one of thouse cheap ebay knock offs, i might look into geting one myself, and i like the header you got, but i found out trying to find anything peformance wise for these is very hard. no one really makes anything for them. but i did check out that websight you have posted below and i was like alright here we go lol. and how did you remount the computer box? im trying to figure that out now lol.

Weapon R is one of the best intakes out there in my opinion, ive heard nothing but good stuff about them from people who have them and the engine feels alot smoother plus my rpms are lower now while cruising compared to any other aftermarket intake i've had. are you talking about the computer box thing thats attached to the old air filter box? in the video here i still have all of that attached but the filter kept rubbing on the hood which is why i got the weapon r.

And the weapon r came with a bracket to attach that computer box thing into a different location. I'll put up a video when I get off work showing how it all looks now.

As for kfxperformance theyve been good in the past but idk if the economy has been good or bad to them or what but its a lot harder to get ahold of them now and it's taking a little longer to ship.

@MrLinc0890 ok, thanks for tha info again, and im looking at one of these weapon r intakes very closely now lol. how much did you pay for yours? the one im looking at is $185 shiped and comes with the kit to make it a cold air intake and a cleaning kit for free.

I paid $156 at JC Whitney and expected just the intake but it included the cold air tubing and cleaning kit too.

Let me know if you ever decide to set it up for cold air...theres some tricks to installing it. I broke my front headlight while trying to put it in. lol

yea kfxperformance. they have some really nice stuff for this model accent. unfortunately i tried ordering the catback exhaust last month and they told me they weren't gonna have any more in until christmas so its gonna be a few more weeks before i get that video put up.

I know what you mean it definitely gets pricey and its almost impossible to find any good performance parts compared to other cars. I've been looking for a decent body kit for a while now but haven't found anything.

the white one was a project he removed the bumper and made it part of it

it fits pretty well you just gotta put on some screws at the end to held it together.

and the body kit is about 550 on ebay so its pretty expensive but gives the car a really mean look
