2. Your presumption is incorrect: That is, the idea that Cheney went to war to drive down oil prices; to benefit US consumers--they did not. In fact, the opposite is true. Crony capitalists don't sit around thinking what's best for the people, they do what's best for business. Always has, and will always be that way.

Thank you so much. It appalls me how little people know about what community organizing really constitutes. I was shocked and insulted at the repeated smears against this kind of political involvement at the RNC. I don't think the republicans realized (or maybe they did) that comments like those effectually imply that the only way a person should be active in the betterment of their lives, country and community is to, well, participate in politics as usual.
