  • I only JUST found out about this place. I was watching another video where a guy was credited with founding this place and my immediate reaction was "WE HAVE ONE OF THOSE IN CANADA! Let me guess... It's in Alberta." Oh was I ever spot on. If this place was closer to anything else I wanted to see in Alberta I would so be spending my next holiday there. Just... Brilliantly off mark. I love it.

  • horse shit

  • *This Museum's Sole Point of Merit: It shows that not all creationist retards are Americans. That's one thing I hear sometimes from Europeans and from people from Asia and I really do think that's unfair. I also try to point out to them that arguably creationism's most intelligent advocate right now (relatively speaking, of course) is Ken Ham, who's Australian. So anyway, thanks Big Valley for doing one good thing on behalf of us overly-ridiculed Americans. Peace.

  • @danning1 I guess you haven't seen the museum. This is a well laid out museum and very informative. It points out the problems with evolution theory. I've been there, read the guest book and alot of the sceptic had good things to say about the place.

  • ....if you don't mind my asking...*ahem" what the fuck do you think your doing? Why do you want to "inform" people of this bullshit?

  • LOL YOU MORONS

  • This place brings shame to Canada. I am a Canadian, and if I lived in Alberta... well... I'm not gonna say what I'd do to this place...

  • I'm sorry I don't think your uneducated I just get frustrated when smart people go down this road.

You know very well a scientific theory has a different definition then the general public's definition of theory. Evolution may be a scientific theory, however lets look at some facts. fact is that fossil skulls have been found that are intermediate in appearance between humans and modern apes.

  • fact that fossils have been found that are clearly intermediate in appearance between dinosaurs and birds. Also don't let me forget It is considered a fact that the earth is 4.6 or so billion years old,

  • I am sorry I forgot to address that evolution in fact has been observed, example is insects developing a resistance to pesticides over the period of a few years, The flue constantly evolves by the same means humans do it also steels genetic codes from other viruses, The Appendix has no purpose in are body so man has evolved to the point that we no longer need it Or did god just give it to us as a mistake?.

  • If your holy texts are completely correct, then you will go to heaven when you die.

Do me a favor and speed up this process so the REAL scientists can get on with their work in advancing humanity.

Have your faith, but don't attempt to poison childrens minds into thinking this is "science"

    This is sick.

  • a thoery is an assumption or a guess.

  • A scientific theory is not a assumption or a guess this statement shows your uneducated.

  • I got that from a dictionary so I guess the folks that wrote the dictionary are uneducated. We have the "universal LAW of gravity"because we proved it and it works. I have nothing against theory thats how we end up with scientific laws.

  • Evolution has never been observed its a theory that is TAUGHT as a fact and excepted as a fact.

Before I forget, the universal LAW of gravity was discovered by christian man Sir Isaac Newton .

  • No, you're flat wrong about that. The definition you're referring to is the everyday language term, but in the scientific community, a guess is a hypothesis. A theory is a test and subastantiated explanation for a phenomena. This museum is just like every other creationist propoganda I've ever come across. They're blatant liars. Evolution has absolutely not been falsified. If they're so convinced of their idea, why do they resort to lying? They're scum.

  • creation is true evolution false. end of arguement!!!!!!!!

  • evolution. something from nothing with no help from anything.sure i can believe in that if i had enough faith lol

  • @qwuad61 okay, if that's all it takes to win then...

you're a twat! and I'm God! end of argument!!!!

  • Ha ha. Crackpots.

  • I wonder if it is worth it to drive six hours just to see this museum.

  • When is the spaceship coming to pick you up?

  • This is a joke... right?

  • God damn it I live in Edmonton... way to close to big valley and their pseudo scientific "museum".

I hope no children go there to get an dogmatic education...Though I might pop by to get a laugh or two.

  • Creationism is anti-science.

    Science says

    "Let's look at the evidence

and see what conclusion it leads us to."

    Creationism says

    "Here's our conclusion.

Now what evidence can we find to support it?"

  • "Darwin was a trained theologian, not a scientist..."

And how should this be taken as a suitable argument to invalidate all of his ideas?

Alfred Wegner was a meteorologist, not a geologist.

But over 40 years after his proposed theory of continental drift was ridiculed - he was partially vindicated through Harry Hess for some of his ideas/observations that coincided with the refined theory of Plate Tectonics.

Attack a theory if you must - but not the man.

  • These people want to use the law

to drag our science education back into the bronze age,

    where their myth was invented.

Humans are facing genuine, serious problems.

Problems that will not be solved

by folding our hands in prayer

and hoping some fictitious literary character

will swoop down soon and rescue us!

  • Wow, this is ten steps back and .... zero steps forward. This is ridiculously amusing! I can't believe there are actual proponents of creationism.

  • m10 What proof do you have for evolutionism. Tell you what you check out Ian Juby on Y-Tube and refute 25% of his info then you get back to me. If you can't don't waste my time.

  • Show me this cretaceous limestone layer that's supposed to be throughout Alberta. The very first claim I've heard your hero participating in was a blatant lie.

Once you show the first claim to be true I'll move on to the rest. Otherwise he's lost any trace of credibility he may have had to begin with and so have you for supporting him and falling for his claims without checking them for yourself.

  • I watched a few more minutes of the video and they go on to screw up Newton's law of gravitation by substituting Coulomb's constant (k) for Newton's gravitational constant (G). Hahaha, creationists are perpetual screwups even when they're not talking about evolution, geology, astrophysics or cosmology.

And these are the idiots whose bullshit you want me to wade through for hours on end? I might as well argue with the homeless guy down the street with the cardboard doomsday sign.

  • I don't know how I could be clearer, as it's obvious you're not interested in the truth. I stated clearly that the map was based on *evolutionists maps* of the supposed "cretaceous seas" and that the chalks and limestones are NOT found in all of the places; they were simply assumed by the evolutionists to have been there, and I did not object. It has apparently been eroded away in some places.

And where, pray tell (video and time please) did "we" screw up Coulomb's and Newton's constants?

  • @wazooloo There's no such thing as "evolutionists". There are scientists and there are creationists. Evolution is a fact. If you or any other creationist you know has proof that evolution is wrong, the why don't you show it to the scientists? We are forever told about the evidence and proof. I find it unusual that it is never actually produced. If you have the evidence, what is it? Show it to us please. It would be the biggest discovery in scientific history. So, let's see it!

  • Furthermore, your continual insults and condescending attitude speak more of you than of the accused. You never stop to think that maybe someone might have simply made a mistake? Even though no mistake was made - I'm sorry, I was quite clear on what I said, what my sources were, and you can verify it yourself: Derek Ager, "Nature of the stratigraphic record" and look up maps of the cretaceous seas.

  • It is amazing to me people see with their eyes, speak with their mouth, make mental descisions with their brain and never wonder about the miracles that just took place. Only God could have created, designed and given it to you. If you can not look around and see the evidence God exists, your eyes are closed. If you believe evolution explains the origion of life, your mind is closed.

  • Ummmm... How's that? (And note that evolution doesn't explain the origins of life. It explains the proliferation life into different forms.)

  • mark Sorry your wrong! You don't see it in the fossil record and don't you see it happening in the world to day. You don't see it any where. Sorry your assuming again! Check out Ian Juby on Y-Tube.

  • You do see it in the fossil record and everywhere you look today. One can map the effects of mutation in populations of organisms. It's called phylogenetics. Google it. If what you are saying were true phylogenetics wouldn't be so useful in natural and domestic populations (cats, dogs, sheep, etc.), and, yes, even humans. But yet phylogenetics confirms what we expect to see in a world where evolution applies.

Instead of looking to Ian Juby, one could just observe the world in front of himself.

  • Where in the fossil record do you find one species turning into another. You don't can't you could you would be a billionaire and your face would be all over the news. Who you trying to fool Yourself . Sorry mutations are a lose of genetic infomation and a virus has to hi-jack the cell to substain life. What are the four things needed to substain life. If you can't refute Ian Juby than maybe you should take course in biology before you embarrass yourself further

  • You should be ashamed of yourselves. You are brainwashing people into believing something that has no evidence whatsoever, but you dare to refute an idea that HAS, you should all know, HAS BEEN PROVEN. Evolution is not some crazy liberal theory anymore; the ENTIRE scientific community agrees upon this. And I mean the real scientists, not creationists who have a fossil collection. I just don't get it. How do you support an argument that has no evidence but a fairy tale book? You can't. Sorry..

  • Check Out Ian Juby on Y-Tube

  • I don't know how a _______ works (fill in the blank), so it must be God that did it.

  • Amazing so cool. Billions believe in creation but in America kids are fed evolution as though it were fact, not just theory. A poor theory at that.

  • So you're saying that because a lot of people believe it, it's true? Well, I'm sorry, but a lot of people used to believe the Earth was flat, but when they finally got the balls to weigh that against the evidence, they changed their minds. The same thing will happen with Christianity in the next two hundred years.

  • I dont know about Christianity, but Young Earth Creationism definately.

  • 232 Gee Christianity has been around for 2000 years and the unproven theory of evolution has been around for 200 years and evolution is getting exposed for the LIE it is. Do the math. Check out Ian Juby on Y-Tube.

  • Dude you're an idiot. There is no such thing as an unproven theory. A theory is based on fact. A hypothesis is unproven, and that's what GOD is, God is a hypothesis that can never become a theory, short of God coming and telling us personally he is real. Christianity has been around for 2000 years, it's an outdated religion with old useless traditions like the tenth commandment (thou shalt not seethe a baby goat in it's mother's milk exodus (34:32? can't remember))...so your point is void.

  • Dude I'm gonna say this one more time...A theory is based upon fact. Therefore there is no such thing in the scientific community as an unproven theory...People use the word theory very loosely. It's not a theory at all unless there is proof that it is factual.

  • hahaha you see the spinning flagellum? I'm kind of suprised Behe hasn't started his own religion yet.

  • Why don't you people that critisize everything go get a life..and leave the people with one, alone to enjoy it. You all act like you are jealous.

  • Creationism is not science.

Can't you hucksters just get a job doing something else instead of making stuff up?

Your "challenges" to evolution fail. Every, single, time.

  • I used to shake my head when I saw such things and say, "Only in America."

Now I guess I'll have to change it to, "Only in North America."

  • LOL IT'S SMALLER THAN MY GARAGE.

  • Hi folks, the discussion "creationism vs. evolution" has never been a scientific one, but a theological one. If there's no God, I can do what ever I want. There's nobody going to take account of it. Big Error: And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. (Rom. 9,27) Here's the solution: John 3,16.

    Find out YOURSELF.

  • 1. This thing does not provide evidence for nothing

    2. You can challenge anything!

  • Do they take you on a tour when you visit this "museum" or do you just go through it yourself. I'd love to confront the owner on some of the debunked "evidence" for creationism.

It is an embarrassment that this zit popped up in my province. I guess it's not surprising that it showed up in southcentral Alberta, the Canadian home of retarded redneck bible thumpers.

  • It's normally self-guided, but the owner would be more than happy to give you a guided tour. I'd like to hear the "debunked evidence for creationism" you refer to.

  • mvolt Before you embarrass your in person. You mit want to check out Ian Juby on Y-Tube. I'd hate for you to look like a post in front of a crowd.

  • Ok.

Watched the first part of a video with Ian Juby, ME Clark and Carl Bough. The first claim that was made was that the Glen Rose limestone extends globally (supposedly deposited by a global flood) and they had a map showing it covering the entire province of Alberta (my home).

There is NO cretaceous limestone in Alberta. There is a deposit of cretaceous marine shale called the bearpaw formation of much later age whose limited extend has allowed us to map its ancient coastlines.

  • mv You need to pay attention to what he is saying in the vid and then you will know the statement you made is wrong. Come on a little quicker with the ears and a little slower with the lips or should I say fingers. Come on now your giving those Albertan's a bad name. They may send you back to where you came from.

  • 4:55-5:48

"It [limestone] is the same layer that we have at Glen Rose, Texas"

Then he goes on to say that this layer is found all over the world and shows a map of it being distributed on all points on all continents including Alberta. There is no limestone layer in Alberta of corresponding age to the Glen Rose formation. The creationists are lying.

Your condescension is a poor substitute for your belief's lack of substance and it's supporters' blatant dishonesty.

  • He was quite clear in what he said: he compiled the map based on the

evolutionists claims of the boundaries of the "Cretaceous seas," and he

even specifically stated that it was absent in some of those areas -

    namely the Canadian shield.

Furthermore, it was Dr. Derek Ager who mapped out the cretaceous chalks

literally worldwide in "The Nature of the Stratigraphic Record." Check it out for self.

  • mv Evolutionism is a unproven theory it goes on axioms, assumption and presuppositions. It's a belief system (aka) a religion. "Evilution The Lie Agreed Upon" Just watch for these phrase's in evolution scientist statements. We believe, We think, This is how it may of happen. It sure sounds like a belief system to me!

  • Does lying count as a good argument in creationist circles?

  • mv I guess that's all it takes to out smart you is a bible thump'in redneck.

  • AIG Creation Museum refuted by fossils below museum pt.2 Paste that in the search engine box to see my new video . Part 1 is on many science news sites and religous forums.

  • These creationists are the biggest wankers in human history.

  • If you go dictionary(dot)com or read what I posted previously you'll see that some definitions of religion have nothing to do with any kind of supernatural element. All something needs in order to be considered religious is to be believed with devotion and zeal. It could be ANYTHING.

  • You believe evolutionary doctrine without question.

It is not deceiving to add Evolutionism in there among other religions for that's what it is.

How commonly a definition of a word is used does not determine if it is true or not.

I don't use religion of evolution as an insult. It is simply a description of Evolutionism for what it is.

I believe what the Bible actually teaches, not necessarily everything some say it teaches.

  • allenroyboy: I'm curious. Do you believe that the bible should be taken literally?

  • I believe that the Bible should be read just as one reads any other manuscript. All it takes are the same reading skills everyone acquires in learning to read any other document. When it is obviously literal, read it literally. When it is obviously using a metaphor, read and understand the metaphor. When it is obviously using figurative language, read and understand the figures. The three most important rules in Bible reading are: 1. Context. 2. Context!! 3. CONTEXT!!

  • you might want to brush up on what metaphysics really is also.

  • Also from Dictionary(dot)com:

    1. A set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, esp. {but not only} when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies,...

    2. A specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects:the Christian religion; the Buddhist religion. {the religion of Evolutionism}

6.something one believes in and follows devotedly;...

Boy are you devoted to evolutionism or what!

  • Yes the word religion is usually associated with Christianity or Buddhism, But not exclusive to them.

    From American Heritage Dictionary

    {...}

    4. A cause, principle, or activity pursued with zeal or conscientious devotion.

    Evolutionism certainly qualifies!

  • Evolutionism isn't biological science. It is a religious belief based upon naturalism that forms a world view within which science is done. As such it is not a theory, but an assumed fact. As an assumed fact it can never be proven by science, but rather science in interpreted within it. You may want to brush up on metaphysics, presuppositions, assumptions and simple logic. Most evolutionists are embarrassing ignorant of such stuff.

  • Actually, it was completely done by wazooloo, and he charged nothing. He helped set up the museum. Too bad you don't know the difference between the religion of evolutionism and science.

  • i wanna go there and laugh at this shit

  • A fatal flaw of creationism is the proposition that humans and dinosaurs co-existed. There is no historical records of humans and dinosaurs co-existing. Moreover I doubt there are any respected paleontologist who would advocate that dinosaurs existed in the same timeline as humans.

  • By denying the Bible you are Fulfilling the Bible, "Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts" 2nd Peter 3:3

  • av1611..."By denying the Bible you are Fulfilling the Bible, "Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts" 2nd Peter 3:3"

What amazing proof.... I sure hope you didn't spend alot of time looking for that passage.

  • MAY VISHNU PUNISH YOU.

  • I was feeling very smug as a Canadian viewing stories about museum in Kentucky and that majority of US is creationist when b/c I found this video. Gobsmacked! How did I miss this? Very embarassed, I am humbled.

  • if anyone wants to see some of the good debates for and against evolution go to onegoodmovedotorg and go through there archives. On youtube there is some wicked stuff to check out the ken miller talking about Itelligent design.

  • Wazooloo - Just what are you talking about? You see, this is the type of vague, unsubstantiated statement that creationists simply live by. Maybe you were watching one of your big televangelical yahoo programmes with fake evolutionists planted in the audience? Try living in the real world, and reading a book.

  • Wow... I only found this b/c I was looking for video of the new Creationist Museum in Kentucky. My husband and I are always joking that when they start rounding up Atheists, we should move to Canada. Now I'm REALLY worried... is Canada as bad as the US?

  • I hope not, this "museum" is in my proverbial backyard, rural Alberta though is known for religious fervor though so it kinda figures

  • It's a minority of Canadians, everybody. A fundamentalist MINORITY. Whackos giving intelligent Canadians a bad name.

  • So Alberta is living up to its reputation as the Texas of Canada. They may be nutcases but they are smart enough entrepreneurs to latch on to the Tyrell Museum coatails and a nearby train terminus to make money from it.

  • as a canadian and albertan, this embarrasses me

  • The jadao christian god is a vindictive blood thirsty ethnic cleanser, masaganistic, homofobic, raciest, infanticidal, genocidal, finicidal, pestilential, megamaniacal, sadomasochistic, capricious malevolent bully.

  • I think our country just lost a whole whack of IQ points. It will be great, teaching kids to warp their perceptions of science so they don't even have a basic understanding of what that is. Then, fill their heads with mythology and convince them it is real, backed up by their tragically skewed understanding of "science". Just another aspect of my my country to be embarrassed about.

  • *sigh* If you're in that neighbourhood, why not check out the Royal Tyrell Museum, just 60km away. You know, for some actual science

  • the end of western civilization will be christianity

  • Once more, I a waiting for them to show me the fossils of the unicorns, dragons, cockatrices, and satyrs. Also, if animals were made after their kind, why can't I find a talking donkey now?

  • insanity

  • At least we know the Canadians are just as crazy now...

  • Indeed! It seems they're just as lunatic up there as they are in Kansas.

  • Ze Americans are coming!

  • Good Job!

  • Wow!

    Nicely done, sir.

It looks like things are really coming along nicely up there, ay?

I can't wait to check it out!

  • I can just see it, early man looking just like we do now, anglo-saxon looking of course, petting the nice little Velocraptor. We all know those huge deadly carnivores were so cuddly and nice. Come on people, just study the gospels and model your life after Christ and not put so much time and effort into these kind of details. Just live right and treat others right(in a Judeo-Christian way of course) and give thanks to the Creator upstairs. I think that's a good start.

  • Check out Ian Juby on Y-Tube

  • *somebody* has an Ian Juby hard on

  • What the hell? All I saw were misinterpretations of scientific evidence. Oh well, soon enough these things will be as silly as the Norse Oden myths and Scientology, the fastest belief system in the U.S. and western world, is Atheism.

  • Excellent Andrewc - can we expect to see you there then? I'd like you to point out the misinterpretations.

  • No, because that's all the creationist movement needs. They never ever ever ever win a debate, but when they go on paid tours of churches they are introduced as "creationist x, been in debates with PhD1 and PhD2 and debated at the University of X". Wow, now he's still a crackpot that sounds credible. The best way is to laugh and mock at a distance, stick your damn head in the sand for all we care, that doesn't mean we can't mock you.

  • I have yet to see a creationist lose a debate - I have seen evolutionists walk off the platform part way through the debate they were losing so bad! Which debates are you referring to?

  • search "nightline atheist" on youtube, or kent hovind vs whoever, or Michael Behe, the list goes on. Though, everyone lost at the nightline one, even the audience.

  • You wish. They walk away because there's only so many illogical statements one person can stand to hear.

  • "I have yet to see a creationist lose a debate - I have seen evolutionists walk off the platform part way through the debate they were losing so bad! Which debates are you referring to?" If this were true, which it isn't, then they would have won some court decisions, which they haven't. In fact, creationists lost a big one in Kitzmiller v Dover in which every agrument was rejected. Biggest of all...Creationism is NOT SCIENCE.

  • Kudos, well done. The evidence is compelling and challenging to molecule-to-man evolution. Keep up the good work!

  • god I hope this thing isn't torn down in 50 years. Kids in schools in the future can laugh at them like we laugh at the 1950's "duck and cover" nuclear bomb videos. This stuff is so silly.

  • Agrizzle

  • Very well done. Quick to the point.
