  • I hear you. It is very annoying. This is actually my first Asus mobo and I've not been a happy camper. I have a Seasonic x650 power supply. Its a $150 power supply and I have the same issue. I'll try a different keyboard and see if the problem persists. I'll also try the warm boot and see if that is a work around. I didn't know about that before this morning. Its not a fix, but at least gives a stable system for the time being. Might have to dump this mobo. :(

  • do you by chance use a logitech keyboard with a USB hub built in? Or any USB hub?

  • @houe250 I have a logitech G15 which has 2 extra USB ports, as well as another 7 port USB hub.. is this related somehow??

  • @eloril I'm not sure. I have a G15 as well and have this exact same issue. Exact! Some people have claimed the logitech keyboards G15/G19 cause this issue (USB hub). I haven't disconnected my keyboard and tried it yet to see if it fixes it. Another curious thing some claim is this only happens on cold boot ups (first time powering on the computer or coming out of sleep/hybernation). If they boot into windows and immediately reboot they claim its rock solid stable. I haven't tested these yet.

  • @houe250 Exact same problem, exact same circumstance, only happens on cold boot. I've contacted ASUS directly and they're currently blaming my power supply, which I know isn't the problem.

There's so many people with this exact problem, have a look at tiny url . com / 3o4tz7e and many threads at tiny url . com / 4ypsf9h - it's driving me crazy :(
