  • why do people argue with pelet guns?

  • You said buy a water proof case but it's even cheaper to get six inch pvc pipe and throw some caps on the ends and use pvc glue. Really simple and easy 100% capable of being buried too. Just through a few humidity absorbing packs in it.

  • The biggest question you have to ask is whether our military and police, our friends and neighbors, are going to turn on us because they are ordered to do so. Maybe, initially, but not for long. The people with the money have made the money useless, we may be broke for a while, but nobody is going to show up at your door with a gun. This isn't Australia!!

  • A shotgun is a fantastic home defense firearm, but every family should have a reliable pistol, shotgun, and rifle of defensive capability

  • How about a stun baton with 200,000 volts for around $80.00 ;)

  • Regarding gun confiscations, every gun owner should carry with them a copy of H.R. 5441 (Section 706), of the 2007 Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Act, signed into law by president Bush. Section 706 prohibits law enforcement from confiscating guns during a state emergency or natural disaster. It was designed to prevent another Katrina fiasco, where law enforcement were forcibly entering homes to confiscate guns from citizens that had them legally for self defense.

  • youtube.com/watch?v=YtTyOf8OCKg

  • interesting video. unfortunately very difficult to get any kind of firearms license in the uk, except double barrel shotgun. these are usefull english longbow, google english-longbow.co.uk

  • aint nothin wrong with a pellet gun , i see them as required for anyone never owning a gun or someone who dosent own but wants to buy a firearm . a pellet gun is where the fundamentals are learned .

  • what u recomend for people living in uk were its illegal to own firearm nd its v hard to come by ??

  • hes the type that will be chip

  • @awarepatriot Love your videos, but you should always use real-world examples of gun confiscation instead of citing movies. It's more credible, and there are plenty to choose from, such as the Armenian Genocide, the Holocaust, Nanking massacre, etc.

There's a video here on youtube called "Innocents betrayed - the history of gun control" which I think you would be interested in, if you haven't already seen it.

  • lol dude your awesome, you remind be 100% of me.

Guns, food, long distant wifi, etc......

    and TEXAS! WOOT

  • Why you in the USA all think about arming yourselves in case of some ipothetical freakin-pocalypse that's never gonna happen? Hell... maybe's gonna happen but seriously you all look like psycho and violent fucks... in times of need humanity should tighten up and not shooting eachothers.

    You are strange people...

  • @enomis9393 We're scared of each other man

  • Im thinking the cost of a good pellet gun to take down a raccoon you could get a used or even a new .22 for cheaper. and if you shoot subsonic it is about as loud

  • i got a tommy gun, 22 rifle, and a colt revolver in my house no ones gonna mess with me.

  • You are one of the more rational and analytical preppers on youtube. Keep up the good work.

  • Well said about shotguns. But the gun does no good when out of ammo. Marshall law would probably abolish ammo shipping, & one would be stuck trying to barter for ammo. Problem is some may have say 1000 rnds. Reality dictates an abundance of ammo would have a very high demand barter value not to mention personal protection. In dire hunger scenarios the greatest gift we could give friends & distant family is ammo & spare small arms. Personally I have invested in enough ammo to hunt for 10 years!

  • man thank you soo mnuch you have gave me some new ideas...... but when is this going to happen??

  • Raising livestock is more effective than hunting

  • a aka 47 is also one of the best choices because its has lots of ammo, dosent need to be cleaned as much, and you can run it over with a truck and it will still work

  • red dawn is an amazing movie

  • you would have to pry my guns from my cold dead hands someone comes to take my guns there is gonna be some bad news

  • mosin nagant for HD. the blast will make the intruder hit the floor

  • blackpowder/muzzle loading firearms are anomymous too... It's just like buying a bow

  • You got everything ready, all you need to do is stop listening to alex jones.

  • The gun show thing you were talking about doesn't work. At least I don't think so. When you buy a gun at a gun show the law states:(I believe even if you pay in cash?) that if you don't reside in the state where the gun show is located the firearm you purchase at the show needs to be shipped to the state you reside in. Correct me if I'm wrong.

  • @Jsmooth7444 you can always go with armslist. personal gun classified. Most dont report who bought.giving you the option to regiseter.

  • @Jsmooth7444 you can always go with armslist. personal gun classified. Most dont report who bought the gun from them,.giving you the option to register.

  • pellets and .22 are my personal favorite small game sounds and I have a compound bow but no hunting tips yet ever heard of hell razors? if you've used them then can you tell me what it's like

  • would a pellet gun going 1200, 1400 or 1600 fps be good enough to survive the economic collapse and the rifle is a .177 cal and the pellets are pointed with a red tip

  • and last, im not saying we should revolt (now) but the way this is heading with the surveillance and disarming agenda i suspect the gov is up to no good, better be prepared than not. Be glad you live in the US, we have no rights left in europe, the gov can do pretty much what they want with us.

  • or to use another word for it we use to say up here: you cant shoot sparrows with cannons, tanks and fighterjets are pretty useless in a guerilla war. Let me just throw in a few suggestions on firearms though. You should have a 308 semi auto (if you can afford it) and a handgun, the handgun is easy to conceal and have on you all time, the 308 gives you range and the power that compensate for the fact its not a full auto 5.56 the army usually have. When army goes semiauto, they use 308s.

  • also, some doubt firearms effectiveness against governments. They say what good can a firearm do against a tank, f22 raptor or nuclear bomb. Let me just say most of the war here in norway was done by sport shooters 70 years ago, and to this day, what good do the F22 raptors and tanks do against the taliban and iraq insurgents, fighting NATO with home made kalshnikov clones and homemade explosives? A tank and fighterjet has to be filled up with gas, you cant control a country from inside a tank

  • i concur, here in norway we used to be famous for being laidback on firearms.. you can still own mini 14s etc here, but guess what.. they are registered and 2 years back they tried to confiscate our weapons and keep them in large government storages outside hunting season. It didnt go trough but they'll try again.70 years ago the germans used our gun registry for confiscating our weapons to curb the resistance against the cooupation so we had to get firearms flown in undercover from the allies.

  • @awarepatriot help our government regain itself, hiding guns will only get you fined or put in jail, or will get somebody hurt.

  • @awarepatriot So your plan is to illegally hide guns from the government in order to survive what is basically an American apocalypse. This is not solving anything, this is CAUSING an economic collapse. Why do you guns are registered? So we can catch criminals. Without gun registration, a lot more murderers would walk the streets today. Telling people to hide guns and prepare for this apocalypse isn't helping. Whatever happened to the bravery of the old days where people would stand up and

  • @leojpart Every thing you wrote is ridiculous. Just sit back and call 9-1-1.... don't worry, you'll be fine. lol

  • my wife shoots me with a pellet gun when were having a laugh or in an fight it hurts but you get use to it so....a shot gun is good for up close and personal but i perfer to take folk out silently and from the distance get them all confused so they can't target you

  • my pellet gun will punch a hole in a quarter you dont wanna get hit by it.

  • I totally agree with the pellet gun. Have one and plan to get a nicer one. But, you need a .22 rifle. I even plan to bug out with a pellet gun, 2 12g's, a .22 rifle and 3 handguns but have 6 family members that will carry some.

  • If you have any land whatsoever to keep people out of (Food plot), you need a rifle. Plain and simple. You're right, caliber isn't important as long as the round isn't too exotic, but you need a rifle because you will desperately need to reach our and touch someone. On your Mossberg 500 there are screws in a line in front of your safety. Mount a scope on there and buy some rifled slugs at the very least. Range is a force multiplier. Plain and simple.

  • I have various rifles and pistols.... i also have .177 cal pellet guns by RWS. they drive a pellet at up to 1250 feet per second. They are also incredably accurate and quiet. You definately do not want to get hit with it. Made in Germany very high quality.

  • What about Black powder guns - i dont know what is the law in US but even here in Czech Republic (middle europe) you can buy black powder rifles/derringers anonymously without any registration or whatsoever (used to be like that even for BP revolvers but not anymore :( ). I honestly think that .45 BP derringer or shotgun is better choice than a crossbow for defense. And modern blackpowder rifles are pretty cheap and you can hunt with them too.

  • 10,000 rds military with ak_47 what I have for that

  • All i got is a 9mm desert eagle and a 30-06 stevens bolt action. The problem here in Canada is we have to register ALL our firearms regardless where we buy them.

  • @CJBroesky Debra Medina who ran for Texas governor said "Gun registration is the beginning steps of gun confiscation".

You can also look at making zip guns. ;o)

  • @awarepatriot I had the police come to my house a few months ago to check up on my firearms to make sure they were been stored properly. I had 2 guns at the time but their computer showed i had three. They asked me where my third firearm was (my handgun)so i told them it got worn out so i took it apart, smashed the barrel and threw it in the scrap bin at work and i don't have it no more. It's not registered in their system anymore even though i could still have it. ;-)

  • @awarepatriot Here in NC, I had to fill out paperwork, register, and wait for a quick ATF and FBI background check, just to get my 12 ga. 870 Remington.

  • The more the merrier! =)

  • i shot a duck through the neck out of the air about 25 yds away while intoxicated, with a pellet rifle!!! a powerful 1 at that. i own firearms but that pelletgun is no joke! when buying a survival pellet gun lol make sure its single shot pump no CO2!!! 6-8 hundred fps no less moree fps never hurts

  • yea, but killing game would be illegal if not reported

  • i agree that bow's are very effective but i also don't think they are a weapon for defence, they are more of a predator hunting type weapon. I dont think a crossbow or even a bow would be very effective as the amount of ammo and the ability to aim and fire depends on the angles far to much.

    would you agree?

  • @lukethebigmanking I disagree. You cannot go pick up a bullet and stick it back in your rifle after it's been shot, nor can you fire a rifle or pistol without attracting attention without a silencer. Guns are my main choice, but having a bow never hurts.

  • I suggest an m1a if you live out of the city as you can easilly hit something 400 meters away

  • @NeuterSkooter why do you need to be able to hit something 400 meters away

  • Agree - pellet gun, cheap ammo, very powerfull

  • yeah ur right. BLACKwater is a arsehole company. u know that their founder has left USA for sweden . i dun understand why thye took weapons from ppl who were just trying to protect their homes. HEY blackwater change ur name to cuntwater.

  • @88norimaki Please tell me that English is not your first language.

  • Yep, a Shotty is a great Gun, worldwide, imo

  • continuation: to get used to hunting fishing and firing a loaded gun and defending themselves. it might also be a good idea to take up a marshal art, i suggest kravmaga or karate but others will work to. i also suggest having a 22 long rifle because ammo is SO MUCH ammo like i found a box of 22 bullets on the sidewalk one time. look when it comes to self defense, diversity is KEY. lastly, i reccomend a glock or 38 or even a 45 . i dont wanna sound like a gun nut but thats how i feel. good vids..

  • i suggest having a crossbow or hand bow as well because when you run out of ammo you can use it and collect your arrows. a machete or large very sharp and pointy knife. i reccomend a side arm as well and maybe a 20 gauge on backup if your 12 gauge wont work anymore.you should also know how to make improvised weapons. a 4/10 will also suffice, especially if you are not very good with a gun. you should also train others to survive . it's also a good idea (if you trust them)

  • There are lightly used Mossberg 500s in my local classifieds going for $200. Probably 870s for a wee bit more but I didn't look.

  • The 12 gauge is perfect for a home defense weapon. Don't know about rioters because of the range. It would depend on how many rioters. If I could only have one, I'd go with a .22 just because the rounds are light enough to carry a lot of them if you need to travel. Like the pellet gun for the same reason.

  • I have plenty of expereince with many firearms. 12Ga is great and easy to get. Consider the price of the different calibers and how easy/hard it is to get. Anything chambered in .223/5.56, 308/7.62X51, 9mm, and .45 (oh and the 12Ga), are common umong police and military and can be found just about anywhere. Ideally a pistol (.45 or 9mm auto), Shotgun (12Ga), and rifle (Rugger mini 14) would provide a wide range of capabilities. Air Rifles? Why not, as long as you have the others too.

  • man loving your videos and I must 2nd your opinion that pellet guns should not be overlooked, I shot competition pellet guns for a while and have seem some with great velocity's then that of .22 rifles, The pellet guns gamo is coming out with now (and 4 to 5 years ago) are excellent choices the shot of one can't be hear over a 100 yards, I've personally taken around 50+ rabbits and 50+squirrels with pellet rifles and no telling how many birds when i was younger lol but either way great info

  • hey there! nice suggestion, i don't have one though, i only have a .22 rifle and my dad keeps a 1911 officer and a glock 30, both of which chamber .45 so we dont have to buy different types of ammo... i know yer talking about about firearms but i'd just like to add to yer list a good and long machete, you will run out of bullets eventually and quite personally, it looks more menacing! ^_^ CHEERS!

  • A pellet gun??? really....wow...JP in 10-E-C

  • a "fully loaded cross bow" is still a single shot!LOL,just messing w/ ya.I think every prepper should have a crossbow/bow and arrow and pellet/BB gun too.GreAT vids man, glad I found your channel.

  • I have a mossberg 500, .40 S&W Auto, beretta 92FS and a GSG5 and at least 800 to a 1000 rounds.

  • For a guy who says he does not know to much about weapons, you seem to know plenty to get the job done. I also recomend the 12Ga pump action shotgun for an all around, do most jobs gun. I am also a firearm ethusiest, so I know a lot of other nice options, but you can not go wrong with a 12ga pump action. THe bows are a nice idea as well. Not the best choice, but defently a good addition to any arsonal.

  • black powder!! any muzzle loader is legal and even if you are unable to own a firearm you legally can own and purchase with out any paper work! look into it

  • if you are dead set at not killing a .22 will work but as he said a 12 gauge is probably the best

  • again, I love my 12 gauge, and if someone's breaking into my house (under normal social circumstances) I'm not gonna slap a mag into my AR and go to town, I'm going for good ol' Mr. Remington 870! but like I said before, if we're talking about a serious social meltdown where we're gonna have thousands upon thousands of desperate starving people (and possibly military) to defend ourselves from, I don't want to be limited to 8 shells before a LENGTHY reload. just my opinion, no hostility here.

  • @nolaOE800 I agree with you. I just don't think you can beat the 12 gauge as an all purpose good gun. It's common, shells are common, any hunter can barter you shells. Good for home defense, rioters, hunting, home invasions.... I really think it would also be fine for combat. I was giving a "general" for "all purpose". There are better & worse for any situation. 12 gauge is just a great all around choice.

    Thanks!

  • @awarepatriot Don't forget a pistol, if the collapse is like in Argentina carrying everyday will be a necessity.

  • @awarepatriot

I agree that a good 12g is fantastic for home defense, but for economic collapse/possible WROL/SHTF..... whatever you want to call it, I don't think a shotty is enough. definitely not trying to start any shit here, just giving my .02

my suggestion for a good SHTF weapon on a tight budget would be SKS. they can be found easily for less than most decent shotguns ($200-$400), and they're far more versatile. if you got a few more bucks, AK47, and if money is no issue, AR15.

  • @nolaOE800 id pick the ak47 over the ar15 in my opinion just because of the bigger bullet which can work alot better if used against wildlife or against people an sks would be alot more accurate than a kalashnikov however oh and i own every gun listed there all great guns

  • This is the kind of info I am interested in...simple, straight-forward, clear. Thank you for posting. Subbed now.

  • What caliber pellet gun do you recommend. I own a 17 cal Gamo.

  • do u realy think thats going to happen

  • I like my 20 gauge double barrel and my Glock 19.

  • who cares what you think about best gun combined i have a .38 12 gauge and a rifle my bro has like 6 guns my dad has 4 my bro inlaw has 3 holy shit we're taking over the world woohooo

  • @chadreedfan221 Well it's like I tell many people, I would not want to be shot in the head with a .22 as much as I would not want to be shot in the head with a .45.

    It really doesn't matter.

12 gauge is just nice n common.

  • Great videos man. I subbed right away.

  • The day it becomes necessary to bury your guns, is precisely the day you should dig them up. My opinion is that guns will never be eliminated because the technological cat is out of the bag. Guns are too simple, after all, they were being manufactured several hundred years ago with very crude manufacturing technology. Just because they pass a law doesn't make the technology to make them go away.

  • God you are fine. hehe

  • Double Barrel 12 gauge ,YOU CANT LOCK ME IN YOUR CAGE!!!

  • The truth is you should have a number of weapons. For most people with no experience, a 12 gauge is simple, powerful, but mostly just for home defense. If you have to have a shoot out or go somewhere and fight, bring a rifle.

You can buy some cheap ak74s and a crate of 1200 rounds for dirt cheap and the ammo is particularly effective despite being small and light in recoil. jgsales sells them for cheap.

Rifles for battle, shotguns for defense.

  • You pay someone to buy the gun and then they report it stolen.

  • what pellet gun do you recommend?

  • Pellet guns??? I have a small .177 gun that pushes a pellet at 1200 fps. The last rabbit I shot the pellet went diaginal through the body and exited after going through about 5 inches of his body. Nothing wrong with a very quiet gun that can do that!

  • =P

Praise the lord and pass the ammunition!

  • Firearms? I'll take one of each please.

  • Long guns are great, but handguns are handy (pun intended) if you have to leave your home. Walking down the street with a long gun out in the open is just weird and will bring you unwanted attention. I have a 20 gauge shotgun, but am looking to get a handgun once I get a check or two at my new job (lucky me for getting hired). If I have to leave my home, I'd like to have the shotgun on my back & a handgun in a cross-draw holster.

  • nobody is going to mess with you if you are armed with a crossbow. EXcept the guy with an assault rifle. Remember the saying, " dont bring a knife to a gun fight.

  • Bottom line...what are you going to do when all you have is what is on your back?

You can have all the gear in the world but when worse comes to worse...I want real firepower. All of these other tools have their niche but it is a limited one at best.

I am convinced...that there will come a time when our physical security will be more important than any other concern. This is why I own guns.

Modern military style firearms...that's the ticket.

    Lots of magazines and ammo.

    Plus water and food.

  • I once found amazing research article that showed that pools are more dangerous than guns... lol

  • I like the air rifle idea, the ammo is cheap and most of you probably didn't know that there are air guns out there that are large caliber and powerful enough to take big game, even a .50 caliber,,,,look it up here on you tube.

  • @175lieutennant2 I am just going to buy me a lion. Nobody will mess with me or my silver when they see my lion.

  • The pellet gun is A great idea. Not necessarily for killing mercs but for target practice. Practice with A pellet gun or 22 to save $ then when you go to the real deal you will be more accurate and have saved some dough.

  • Buy a short range weapon (12 gauge)

A medium range weapon (AK-47, SKS, etc).

And a long range weapon (Remington 700, M1, M-14, etc).

  • your already in trouble, creating this video just put you on the list. There more scared of what you say than what rifles in your house. If the government or law inforcement attacks you wil be dead before you can reach for that firearm.

  • When living in SD I shot a 75# deer in the head with a .22...turkey at 100 yards...I have thousands of .22 rounds...in addition to shotgun etc...

  • lol@ how everyone that says they have a 22 has to try to defend it lol

  • im in jersey, forget about it, at least its not UK though, thats slavery over there

  • but i was told this has been going on some way or another since the assault weapons ban.

  • texas doesnt allow registration of firearms but they do have their ways for instance im in dallas,tx i have a friend who is in the gun buisness he warned about how buying more than 1 pistol in 7 days will result in complete detailed description of you and the firearms you purchase where buy law its supposed to be only be a backround check, they claim straw purchases (which i thought were buying like 100 guns atleast) are threat to national security so since 9/11 they feel this is necessary.

  • hey bud the good thing about dallas,tx and im sure all of texas is gun registration is illegal but they have loop holes,if you walk into a gun shop and buy a pistol its a simple background check buy more than one in 7 day period the brand, model, serial#,caliber, mag capacity, etc. is giving to them basically worse than registration

  • To make a 12 guage even more lethal add a full or extra full turkey choke.

  • what about in california?

I've heared of people that keep a locked box in their front seat with them. probably a good idea i would think.

  • in plain site???

  • great vid

  • Here is what I woudl suggest for a bare bones basic in terms of firearms for those who want to survive and defend but not participate in offensive action. A high-powered pellet gun, .22 Rifle, .30-06 bolt-action rifle, a 12-gauge shotgun, a tactical carbine (AK-47, AR-15, etc...), and a 6 or 7 shot .357 to .45 quality revolver. Semi-auto handgun is optional, as are smaller .22 caliber handguns for the ladies in your home. I wouldn't be caught dead without a handgun, a shotgun, and a rifle.

  • I agree with you almost entirely. One thing I would say is that I wouldn't limit yourself to a mere 12 gauge shotgun. If someone has a high capacity tactical carbine that he can take you out with at a distance, even if he has to send rounds just sailing through the wall so of your home, then he can do it. He's not going to be too afraid of your shotgun unless he's within 100 yards of you. As soon as they know you have a shotgun, they'll just move to a tactical carbine and shoot from 300yds+.

  • yep at the very least get a .22, long range cheap ammo easy to silence.

  • As far as taking guns away and the govts future plans... Why do you think they are taking GPS coordinates at everyone's front door? They will surgically strike those with known weapons first. We cannot win if we are affraid to die. This is a war and people will die. We have to put off our 21st century slotheness and become a people of principal again if we are to change anything. Otherwise we will just become slaves they want us to be and we will deserve that title.

  • @nitdiver5 ~ The police / army will have their hands full trying to control the most intense problems. The U.S. is huge and with 30 million gun owners it will not be an easy task to disarm them. I think perhaps the way we look at having weapons is NOT to defend against police but to keep thieves out. Even during a collapse you will leave your homes.

Permit to carry handguns for saftey..a must.

  • The primary reason for the First Amendment was a final check on govt tyrrany. The Founding Fathers knew there would come a day where the power would become centralized and another Revolution would be necessary. That is where we find ourselves today. It is not a theif threatening your right to a fun, but a poitician. It is politicians who have spent 6 trillion in the last 24 months, putting flouride in the water, creating a one world govt, an taking away our freedoms one by one.

  • @nitdiver5 I agree with what you have said here but again during a collapse the unbalanced, desperate and starving DO become a threat to the peoples well being. Yes we are fighting a corrupt system and there will be "that" to deal with also but the thieves and crazy's DO pose a threat and to totally discount such is foolish. The thieves will not threaten your right to fun -they will threaten your right to exist and thrive. Whoever "was" a threat in the past -amplified

    Huge difference my friend

  • Fun was a typo.... it was supposed to say gun. Yes, a gun will be necessary to ward off common people. But its the govt that is the greatest evil and danger. If they are successful at taking away guns then the people become enslaved. George washington said something to the effect that it would be better for the whole country to be covered in blood than to become slaves. That is the choice we have to make. Therefore, I worry mor about the govt than a common theif.

  • @nitdiver5 Absolutely see your point. Many of us are aware of the gov't intentions and their corruption stripping us of our wealth and freedoms.

I personally don't want a band of thugs crawling all over myself and my family though . My immediate attention is to prepare and protect and to survive.

Argentinas collapse is a good example of what can take place. The man who wrote the blog had said his neighbor, a woman and her 2 young girls were raped. She had no guns and no man there. Very sad

  • Ironic that it's the politicians that swore to protect and defend the constitution under their oath of office...

    They commit perjury so bad.

  • @nitdiver5 But they guys pressing the buttons know that their families, wives, children, brothers and sisters are also in the nearby crosshairs. you should know with the release of the WIKILEAKS vid... it is no surgical strike. They are attempting to poke a bear with a cattle prod, yes technically sound and painful,,, but cannot stop one pissed off bear.

  • @HopllyteAlpha: My Greek Friend, family members may be in the crosshairs, but it didn't stop what happened in Nazi Germany and we are no more enlightened, We are falling for the same tricks. If the bear is the people Im affraid too many will take food over freedom. I believe there is a very good chance of the rapture this fall, before the crash. Im not one of those saying not to fight because the rapture is near. I'll be in Washington DC on April 19th for the Second Amendment March.

  • Problem I see with a shotgun is having such few rounds and the time it takes to reload. Personally I would suggest a Glock 19. 9mm is the most common sized round so best chances of finding it if you run out.

BTW, if the time comes they are looking for guns door to door don't hide them. Shoot the bastards at the door.

No quarter for anyone invoking or upholding martial law; Feds, military, police or thugs. But I repeat myself.

  • If the SHTF, also don't overlook building a catapult.

    Good vid.

  • I can argue with that. Sorry my friend. During a collapse you "still" have to go to work ..if you have a job. You can't carry a shotgun. I was advised by a man who lived through 2001 collapse in Argentine how the reality plays out. Shotguns are fine for the home but handguns are a MUST. Anyone interested in reading a poertion of this mans blof contact me and I will send it. Want to know how to defend yourself...read what people have said that lived it. There is so much we would never think of.

  • Damn right on the pellet guns. I have an RWS .22 cal. I got one of those pellet trap target devices with the 1/10 inch thick iron game targets. After 25 shots or so the game targets were ruined, the hangers broke off and the angled back of the trap had a 2 inch gash in it. I was just using Gamo competition lead shots too.

I can assure you one can take down a large jack rabbit, racoon or turkey in a single shot.

But, this RWS is LOUD. It is close to the sound level of a .22 LR.

    Good vid.

  • 12g is a great home defense weapon.. fantastic video.. but, your prolly not going to be able to shoot a wild turkey.. they are very skittish, and extreemly smart birds.. it takes some incredible skill to shoot a turkey with even a rifle. better off shooting squirel, or other bird game. also transporting firearms acrossed state lines is a felony unless you are moving.

  • We're all moving :o) Yeah, the main point of any pellet gun would be birds, squirrels and small animals. Plus the "silent" nature of them.

    Thanks

  • a compound bow takes allot of skill as well, and you cannot make arrows from wood stocks. too much power in them, they will shatter the wood stocks.. crossbow is a different story, but still will shatter most wood stocks you can make arrows out of.. so STOCK UP on LOTS AND LOTS OF ARROWS if you go bow.. a recurve bow is the best thing for SHTF, as you can make arrows like the indians.

  • @awarepatriot yeah gamo makes a break barrell that will take down a hog, saw it on the outdoor channel, but a pellet rifle would be worth its weight in gold during an economic collapse.

  • @secretsquirrell13 YES! That is what I'm talking about with people. I get a little "hell" because people talk down on pellet guns. These rifles today are not just a typical BB gun from the Christmas story movie. They are full hunting rifles. Thanks!

  • dude , how the fk do you consistently get such close shaves? , I haven't had a close shave like that since i was 17. Do you use a straight razor?...............oh btw thats another good shtf item for those daring enough.

  • That info will be in another video... Superfoods. Eat Antioxidants. Kills free radicals & also "reverses aging" supposedly. Youtube a vid "how to shave". It's a great vid and taught things I didn't know. Thanks.

  • Very true. I use flax oil myself. Tastes bad but it works.

  • Great tip on the shaving vid. I checkedi it out, wow. Now I feel like I can shave the fuzz off a peach LOL

  • Another CHEAP Alt. is wasp spray. Spray up to 30 feet away.

    Great video!

  • I'll include that info on my home defense vid later on. :O)

  • definitely not a bad idea. I'm sure that nasty wasp spray in the face will stop anyone. It's very caustic.

  • @icebreaker7 Or an Axe spray bottle and hold a match in front of it =} Flambe

  • What if we've all gone mental and noone of this crazy stuff happens? What if we just spend the next 15 years being broke, living with our kids, our parents, our grandparents, all stuffed under 1 roof, and we have to scrounge around a bit? My grandparents used to be poor. They said they were still happy. Lets not lose sight of that. Loss of material does not always equal loss of happiness. Try to keep your families well centered guys.

  • A loss of material might very well be what this country needs to reestablish accountability, frugality, and a sense of family. I can't keep listening to everyone talk about the crash. I dont doubt its coming. In the meantime I'm making the most of each day until it does. That way, if it doesnt come until 2015, and I randomly die before then, the sun was still shining on me.

  • Yes, take it in good stride... It's better that we stay positive, but prepared.

  • @awarepatriot, I lol'ed out of my swivel chair when you said, come over to my house and I'll (pause) put a round in your hand. AHAHAHAHA! :-D

  • LOL :)

  • If you purchase a gun in a state that doesn't require registration because yours does require registration, I'm not so sure you can then travel back to your own state and OWN an unregistered gun legally. Does anyone know?

  • No. If you purchase a used firearm for instance at a gun show in Texas from a private dealer with cash, you can take that firearm with you anywhere. Most state laws talk about the "sale" of the gun. If you are merely traveling back into your state, most likely there are not laws for you to go "check it in". I know there is nothing like that here in Texas, Oklahoma, or Arkansas. (Sorry don't know many other state's laws but I doubt they are that way)

  • 5 star rating for this one. I agree you can't really argue with a 12 gauge. Blam! argument over.

  • Great video with very useful info "come round to my house and i can shoot your hand with my pellet gun!"

I am not sure how many will accept this invite..lol

  • hehe. Some people just discount "real" hunting pellet guns as just typical kids toys. It is my opinion that this is a bad mistake.

They are unregistered, not loud, ammo is dirt cheap, and would not be subject to confiscation. You won't win a war with one, but they'll keep your family fed on any bird or 20lb and under animals.

I really said that because I've had people tell me "they are just toys". The only thing is, this toy with STEEL pellets, could go through a hand... Thanks

  • @awarepatriot Can you give some more detail on what to look for in a pellet gun. I want to get some for my daughters.

  • Liberty, Gamo brand has been around forever. I believe they are to pellet gun as remington is to shotgun. Gamo break barrel is a good place to start. Just make sure you get the right kind of scope. Spring action pellet guns recoil forward. If you put a regular rifle scope on it, you'll knock the reticle out of whack because the reticle in the scope is designed for backward kicks, not forward. That's my .02 for you

  • Thanks. I checked their website, looks good.

  • Good to know.

  • Good thoughts. I also think having several fire extinguishers around the house is good too for defense or for their intended purpose. I can envision angry mob or idiot hurling molotovs around the hood to bring down your fortress...

  • great suggestion!

  • Good idea! Never thought of a fire extinguisher.

  • A shotgun and a pit bull are a awesome defence.

  • Mossberg 500 for home defense. Any shotgun. The Mossberg is a cheap, 12 GA shotgun.
