The cinematography is nice, but I honestly don't understand the purpose of the film. I feel like I just watched a snuff film. Who ever wrote this probably saw A Clockwork Orange and decided to make a short film like that but decided to remove all the social commentary and clever dialogue. The film loses whatever shock value it has after the first 2 or 3 minutes, then it just gets boring. It's just all very shallow. What is this trying to say?

@ArmyOfWalrus Why does it have to contain social commentary or have a message? It's a noir-esque heavily stylised horror short. It is more akin to Mickey and Malorie than Clockwork. And the dialog may not be great but its in an eloquent languague (French) which suit very well. The violence seems real and in turn quite disturbing. also it is very entertaining. I believe it it has ticked all the boxes it has ment to, a success.

The message of "Maniac" seems the same, depicting the glorification of violence in the media. I forgot about that film. When looking at the short from that perspective it's a little better. I guess the only flaw is that it's too similar to NBK. I know there's no more original ideas, but the only difference is this is in first-person.
