  • Interpoll on this is the only one on this with any brains.

  • Oh my God! I forgot that Victor and Hugo were in the same universe as Duckula! Cool. But little self references like Hugo being able to 'do his voice you know', as well as the obvious Princess Di anthropomorphic bird and the campy prison guard. no kid is going to get references like that. Thats what I love about the cartoons from back in my day, they always had one eye on the adult audiance meaning you can watch them again and still see something new you didnt see at the time.

  • @BelatedCommiseration The campy gaurd and the softy convict idea is hilarious! Like the prison is more of a badly-run nursery for 'naughty boys' :)

  • @Granitoons Yeah...the cosgrove hall boys were really following in the classic british alternative comic tradition of Monty Python and the Goons (as evidenced by David Jasons Hugo/bluebottle voice) but they always added their own spin. Really its almost as criminal as one of Victors brilliant schemes that this series doesn't seem to get as much recognition as others, which is a shame because they have really got the humour down pat here, where as on Duckula it could be hit and miss at times.

  • Penelope was an earwig

  • hahahaha cross-breed pomoranian

  • David Jason sounds like he's impersonating Bluebottle from the Goon Show.

  • Indeed, he does. No doubt Bluebottle provided a fiar bit of inspiration to Cosgrove-Hall with how to get Hugo, while they chose a more conniving personality for Victor.

On a side-note: David Jason does a pretty good impersonation of Bluebottle.

  • remember the flea in the matchbox...??

  • penelope!

  • Because it's not classic.

  • @supertedtv lol how can you say this isn't a classic when this was made 19 years ago

  • I don't like Victor and hugo anymore.

  • Really, Why?

  • Funny seeing this now I am grown up. The funny thing about this clip is when Hugo says 'i can do he voice, you know' referring to Count Duckula.

David Jason actually did the voice for both.

Surprisingly he was the guy played Inspector Frost from A Touch of Frost.

  • "You are pulling at the wine-do win-der".. HA HA HA... Victor and Hugo were the best. I'd love to see them repeated, just like Dangermouse is being repeated

  • I regonise Victor's voice.

  • It's David jason from only fools n horses and frost

  • @flobbegusted Jimmy Hibbert, long-time Cosgrove Hall voice/writer man. Has had a couple of cameos in Coronation Street of all things!

  • I used to love this, my mum loved it too because it reminded her of The Goons. I'm guessing the characters were actually based on Moriarty and Bluebottle.

  • In the very beginning, it looked and sounded like Hugo was doing something very nasty in the van...

  • *lols very much @ Shychick* XD

  • oh you dont wanna know what i was doing in there ;)

  • *hugs deemzeemz* THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!! ♥ Victor and Hugo! You've made my day!!

  • omg, i loved this, i cant believe i'm watching it again

  • Well cool, I've been wanting to see this again since it was on!

  • victor and hugo and superted were the 2 key shows i used to watch as a kid thanx for uploading this

  • i have been looking for victor and hugo for ages....its so good to see it finally up. I havnt seen this for around 10 years....its the best show it was so funny

  • "No Hugo, you can not go as Count Duckula"

"Aw why not, I can do his voice you know"

Good reference to another great Cosgrove Hall show with David Jason in.

  • And David was the voice of Duckula as well as Hugo.

  • Yeah I knew that, Duckula was my favourite out of all Cosgrove shows

I remember there was an episode where Duckula appeared in Victor & Hugo, would love to see that episode and the one with Dangermouse when they get hired by Baron Greenback

  • When I watched The Bill'I once saw some kids on a few shows watching t.v with Duckula on it. I remember all those shows.

  • @moatguy and on Eastenders if I recall aright.

  • @rl1712 I have the Duckula one on disc, but I'm not sure how I could upload it here. I'll figure it out.

  • David Jason was Hugo, Duckula, Dangermouse, a couple of characters in Dangermouse, and Toad, Billy Rabbit, and Chief Weasel in Wind in the Willows.

  • I have been looking for this for my husband for years, wher did you get it from

  • this is great! please upload more :D

  • Are you gonna upload part 2?

  • I'm capped at the moment, but I will.
