Activision and Infinity Ward WANTED everyone to freak out. They wanted groups to protest, they wanted parents to rant, and they wanted news networks to do reports on it. You see, this would sell the game. Although Activision spent 1.5 million on advertising, that scene received three times as much every time CNN/NBC/FOX mention the name "Call of Duty". I guarantee you that game wouldn't have become as popular if it wasn't for that level.

@supernewber1 I fully agree. And it was too damn bad they had to go and ruin ManHunt 2 with filters on every execution for the Wii. It's much more fun seeing the blood splatter as I beat my victims to a blood pulp (on a game of course -- not reality).

Hell yeah you should! I went out to buy it the day it came out. I was the only person in the world that actually dressed in full camo just to wait in line a few hours to get it, with my camcorder filming from my jacket pocket, and playing Call of Duty 4 on my Nintendo DS.

Add Kire668 by the way. My nephew got 6th prestiege and rank 5000 in the world during the first couple days after release. He has every achievement, and working toward max rank.

@shadowmancerdude I believe I removed that video upon unban from YouTube. E&S Productions claimed they own the rights to Prototype for XB360. So I cleared most of the videos I felt would lead to further infringements upon my right to discuss videogames in a non-profit manner.

But yeah.. I dressed up in full camo to stand in line on 11.10.09 to buy this game from Wal-Mart. Way shorter line than at GameStop. Then I drop by them and rubbed it in their faces I was out and they had another hour...

At any rate, this game was very touching. I loved it! The first game that actually had the ability of a movie to make me cry a little.

Haven't felt like that since Anikan Skywalker slaughtered off them children in Star Wars Episode III.

Nothing wrong with religion, with beliefs. I've been brought up with Roman Catholic indoctrines, and I've got nothing wrong with religion, race or naught. I'm British Asian, and I've got friends from all ethnicities.

It's when the minority try to disrupt the flow of peoples interests that it annoys me. Like, 5 people complain to the BBC about a TV program being indecent, (literally), and it gets taken off air.

well when i started my game there wasa warning emssgae saying one mission may be offending to some would you like to skip it, there is no need to play it yopu dont need it to complete the game no veteran mission achievkments involve it. like technically u dont have to fire your weapon just let the russians do it lol

Alright, I wasn't aware of that. I figured they would kill you and you fail that mission for going AWOL and not following orders. That, and I wonder what would happen if you killed off the terrorists, rather than the innocent people.

Oh and I was on XB live talking to EVERY friend that owns this game, and they told me it got banned over in Russia.

If the game has no impact, why would an entire country try blocking it from their stores?
