Really nicely done...is so intense I love the 2005 version more than any other version I guess is because I have never heard of this book until I saw the movie in 2005 and fall for it after that I read the book and watched the 1995 version I was so fond for the 2005 already that I couldn't stop comparing the 2 versions and of course defending the one I saw first I guess that's what happen with most of the people that love P&P maybe it has to do with first impressions
I love this! Great song choice and fabulous editing! "My broken soul is bleeding," oh ,so Darcy!!!!!!!!!!! Matthew Macfadyen's eyes convey so much of Darcy's emotions.
Nice video but your commentary about Joe Wright's version is entirely wrong. This film is a masterpiece and holds up over any version, especially the 95 BBC mini series that takes as many if not more liberties. I don't think the 95 version could have held up to this song especially, LOL!
Thank you very much for your comments on the video. My comments about the difference between the 2005 and 1995 versions were not made to offend. I enjoyed the 2005 version of the film, but some of the aspects presented do not stay true to the Pride & Prejudice that Austen wrote about at the time...
...The Bennet family is portrayed as a lower class family when they were a lower-upper class family (which would have made quite a difference at the time). In addition, I found the 2005 version to flow much too quickly through the plot, I preferred the relaxed feel of the 1995 version. Furthermore, the ending to the 2005 version was not at all what Austen intended for her characters and is not really accepted by most Austen fans - Macfadyen even notes this in an interview about the film...
... I loved the 2005 version of the film, but I did not love a few aspects of the film. This, however, does not take away from how good the acting and other aspects were.
I agree. Every frame of Joe Wright's film is a masterpiece. The '95 version had the luxury of a vast amount of time to tell Austen's story. But, in my opinion, the 2005 film told this amazing love story much more beautifully.
Wow! I never thought this kind of song wouldn't have gone with a slow mood film like P&P but you did it perfectly.
