  • @MegaLEX01 Use Super1clickroot software it rooted my phone just fine and fast and i have the moto cliq xt, make sure you plug your android phone usb into the back of your pc, uninstall the android usb driver if you have problems with Super1clickroot then allow windows to use it's own drivers don't use the drivers from the company of the phone.

  • @CrowoyAndroid i know but for some reason it says "this device can't be rooted :(" I wonder why???

  • @CrowoyAndroid Actually I just learned that it you download the program with Opera mini, you no longer need the Astro File Manager (at least to look for it and install it) Opera does it for you!!! And Thumbs up for your tutorial

  • @singingandpraising Cool tip. Thanks!

  • does it work on desire z?

  • @amonkish Should do, yes

  • for what exactly do you root youre device?

  • @yoyitososa For what reasons? To gain more control of your device, to use apps that are only available for root (e.g.- Wireless Tether for Root), to make your phone faster (which I have a tutorial on), to make your battery last alot longer (which I also have a tutorial on).

  • @jstzymusic That's why I made this rooting method, for beginners!

  • I have att it said i can only download via android market PLEASE HELP

  • @sandman0134 Do you have the Allow Unknown Sources box checked in Settings > Applications?

  • @jstzymusic Oh ya, there are tons of ways of rooting. This is the easiest way if your on android 1.5-1.6 and your device is supported. I also have a video on how to root if your on android 2.1-2.2, and that method supports basically all android phones.

  • @jstzymusic This rooting method supports almost every 1.5-1.6 device, but there are still some that they don't cover. I'm sorry to say, your phone might not be one of the compatible ones.

  • mine says "I can not root this device:("

    im on 1.6. any advise?

  • @henry3484 What phone is it?

  • @CrowoyAndroid Samsung Behold 2

  • @CrowoyAndroid I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and it still refuses to work. Np tho, im looking forwards to get the dual core phones coming soon

  • @henry3484 Ya, I can't wait for the dual cores (Motorola Atrix is what I want)

  • @CrowoyAndroid I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and it still refuses to work. Np tho, im looking forwards to get the dual core phones coming soon

  • can u tell me how to do this using usb debugging?

  • @Chris49xx How to enable USB Debugging? Settings > Applications > Development

  • @CrowoyAndroid nvm i did it an easier way, i found a better n more easier video

  • Great job, this is what 98% of 1.6 users are looking for.

  • @PaytonDDawg That's what I thought when I was thinking of a new video to do. If you want any suggestions then email me (email in video description) and i'll look into it and see if it's possible

  • @jstzymusic Thanks

  • @CrowoyAndroid Yeah, pretty much. i have used Androot to root my device so i can run things like overclock and screenshot apps, but what i relly want to do is put Gingerbread or CyanogenMod 7 on here, and as far as i know, i can't do that unless i do it through the bootloader, which is locked. I have downloaded RomManager from the Android Store, but that doesn't work. It's quite frustrating really

  • @pad117 You can still flash a custom rom with Androot. Just search around XDA for a rom for the milestone, there probably isnt a safe Gingerbread or CM 7 out there yet but be patient. I when those rom's come out on the Nexus One then I will make a video about it. If you cannot use ROM Manager then it doesn't support your device yet, meaning your going to have to use Amon Ra which i've never used before because I think it's alot more complicated then Clockwork (ROM Manager).

  • This works on my Milestone, which is 2.1, but the main problem with my phone that I'm having, is that I can't seem to get a custom Bootloader on there, which kinda sucks.

  • @pad117 are you saying you want to unlock your bootloader? I didn't want to because I don't think you can relock it and if something goes wrong then your warrenty won't cover it but if you do it this way then:

    a) you can always unroot and do a factory reset

    b) its safer and has less chance of something going wrong

  • How about rooting a 2.2 on the x10 ??? i downloaded the app but when I root it says unable to root the device!!!

    what should I do ?

  • @MohammedAlbasry This method is only for 1.5, 1.6 and some 2.1 phones. If you go onto my Youtube channel and search through till you see the other rooting one with SuperOneClick then do that

  • i downloaded a old vercion of rom manager n it install well may b better to install the buy a file manager

  • @4klp59 I bought the Nexus One because I was frustrated with 1.6 on the X10.

To install the apk file, download Astro File Manager

How did the fix for the Installation Unsuccessful go?

  • @CrowoyAndroid still unsussesfull

  • @4klp59 awww that sucks, ill try find a solution

  • no luck still i hate cupcake may have 2 buy a new phone. XC

  • yeah i got it the app sey im rooted i got metamorph an titanium backup its says install unsussesfull

  • @4klp59 So when you downloaded it, it said in the notifications bar "Installation Unsuccessful"? If so then I already have a fix for that on my blog, so go onto my blog, on the left, under "Labels" go to "Fixes for Errors", and that will have a few solutions for you. (Sorry, I am not allowed to put links into the comments)

  • yeah yust rooted my moto dext it wont install rom manager n a few app i want you know any solution .thanks

  • @4klp59 Are you sure it's rooted? (Check if you have an app called SuperUser, if you do then your rooted)
