Check out there gig last year at the 'Berlin olympic stadium' ' Never let me down' is the best to view !!! its on youtube ... They played to 136.000 people, Yes 136.000 ! Thats twice as many as here at the rose bowl and that was last year. God my left arm would of gone to be at that gig ! But then i wouldnt of been able to wave when they played never let me down ;-)

Boy if there was ever a gig i would of given my right arm to be at it would of been this DM gig at the Rose bowl. It looked fuckin awesome! Saw DM in Berlin just after this during 1990s Violator tour. That blew my socks off ! That was indoors with 10.000 Germans. To see them in a massive open air stadium with 70.000 people would of blown my pants off ! They are so good live ... The songs, Big base electro drums and synths, Great front man. They were made to play massive packed out arenas

Saw them June 1st , 16 days prior to this show at what was then the Brendan Byrne Arena in the Meadowlands, East Rutherford, NJ. Nobody in my company wanted the corporate 'Box' for this show. So I got the 'Box' and had all 14 tickets in there. Invited my friends to see the show. What an incredible night !! One of the most memorable concert tours I have ever seen. But 101 was even better from what I have seen from the dvd of this show. This is the show I would have really loved to been at.

As a Pasadena native, I can't believe I missed this show. But at the time, we were so inundated with DM music, I was kinda sick of them. In retrospect, we were so lucky to have this music at the time.

There were other bands that played there that day and night . The Cure played and I believe OMD as well. There may have been others. I don't know if this was DM's first US concert tour, it may have been. David Gahan mentioned he was nervous at first because they never played infront of that many people. Yes, he is human! I found out in the mid-90s' that my brothers roommate actually went to this concert. I was quite envious.

I don't give a shit what anyone says, this was the band at their peak. It's not that they went downhilll from here, they just never sounded better than this. I know everyone loves the Devotional Tour performances (and I do too) but this is superior. Dave's voice here is just crystal clear.
