FL Studio - Recording using the Audio Logger

Hey man I just got the demo for this program and am still havig problems after this video. I have mic, it's kind of shitty but I think it should work. on the Mix Master for the input I'm not quite sure which mic it would be under and for the audio settings I can't use ASIO4ALL, only primary sound driver. If I use ASIO4ALL I can't hear my beat, is this normal?

I'm a house producer and I'm working on a remix. But I have a problem.. The acapella's original BPM is 90, but the remix BPM is 120. So, I'm wondering if you know how to speed up the acapella to 120? I would be very grateful if you could help me with this problem!

i just tried to record from my first synth board...i hate it....i had to trim off my release and effect off a lead sound from the board to fit in the playlist...so my lead sound just comes to a compelete hault

@shinnaraku2 yeah thats why i went fully vst and no outboard gear. But if that is what you are going to use then you will have to do as you did and cut all the effects off that have a long tail and then you will have to add your own effects to it inside of FL. This may be a hectic practice but you can get some really good mixes that way because you start from the ground up and only use enough effects to make it fit well in the context of your mix.

I need to start recording into FL studio. I got a great microphone and preamp and I currently make beats in FL Studio in Record in Magix cause it seems easier. Magix has issues where my mic and preamp are to much for the program so it crashes.. :(

i use fl9, set there project folder, so files are saved there. then i record all i want, export my project to zip, then i remove all .wav files from project folder and paste .wav files from zip-archive )

I was wondering the same. My sliced beats folder cntains alot of unnecessary slices that didnt make the final cut.

Is there like an option that basically 'cleans' each project. So all that is left are the slices you actually use in the song?

i had a question, i want to record multiple mics for a drum set- its no problem but i have to arm them all and save them separate and then press record- i still want to record them in separate tracks but i dont want to go through the hassle of the set up of saving them everytime; is there a way to just link them and still keep them seperate so i onlly have to press save once for all tracks???

Can you only record audio in FL studio with a USB mic? I have a other mic then usb, mine has 2 cables. 1 for microphone and 1 for sound in the microphone. As i select the asio4all driver in FL it wont detect my mic but it gives a list with some mic's and f i select one the db meter will go up and down like crazy.

PLease someone help me!

Thats all good and everything but does anybody know how to change the "count-in" when recording?

It shows 1 and 2 bar "count-ins" when you access the drop down box. When I begin to record in does a 4 bar count-in.

For instance, when I set it to 1 bar in plays a 4 bar count in. When I set it to 2 bars in does an 8 bar count-in. Help is very much appreciated...

i greatly appreciate this "Audio Logger" video but can you please explain how to do the same process with an internal instrument rather than an external one? i want to play a "SYTRUS" keyboard (internal) and record it live, and cant figure out how to do it. It either records the whole beat or nothing at all pending on which way i open up the logger. But i cant figure out how to just record the one instrument only.Thanks

I wish FL had a record feature that did what you are asking. It may but I haven't found it. What you need to do is set the output of that FX channel to one of your line outs and run the out to one of your line ins. Then set the in on a channel to what you have run from the line out. You should have audio going out your line out and back into your line in. Hope this help. It's a lot of trouble but once it's setup its fine. I use this method to record my video tutorials.

Also man you could just highlight the entire song excluding the instrument you want recorded and delete the rest ?

Its exactly the same.

1. Add an instrument (Stytrus)

2. Set the target mixer channel to whatever channel you wanna record on. This is on the Channel Settings box for Sytrus (or any other instrument you insert)

3. Then as NFX sez, right click the mixer channel you targeted with Sytrus and select audio logger. 4. Once you got the audio logger (Edison) ready to go, hit F6 and click the Sytrus channel you inserted..play the keys using your PC keyboard and see if its working right..select a patch..

How do i make sure there is no feedback while recording? Like i wanna record my own voice, without hearing it on the speakers. I just want to hear only the beat while recording, but i can't find that feature on Fl-studio.

Hey bro! Disable the "send to Master" knob from the channel you getting the audio in...because your sound card is playing what goes in it and what comes from the FL mixer...hope it helps. One!
