  • Very nice roto job, must've taken ages. Mine is also an animation, but I used the Re:flex warp in combustion, it's much less time consuming.

  • WOW!!! check mine out!

  • how was that video done?

  • dapsito,

It was rotoscoped using ToonBoom Studio

  • hey thanks for your fast reply!!! yea im looking for something like that... so forgive my questions but should i buy toon boom studio? digital pro? harmony or opus? to make that effect?

  • to dapsito,

I don't have experience with those other programs, but from what I know they can do professional level animation. ToonBoom is a fairly simple flash animation program, and is probably the cheaper way to go for animation software. It also depends on whether you prefer to make traditional or digital animation (or both). If you scan through toonboom's site, they explain all of their different software packages and hopefully you'll be able to find what's best for you.

    Thanks for asking

  • hey thanks to you! i appreciate your attention!

    thanks so much!

    excellent video!!!!

  • which product of toonboom did you use?

  • sorrantac,

ToonBoom Studio Express 2.5, I got it awhile ago for $50. It's pretty limited compared to the non 'Express' version, but it works fine for small animations like mine.

  • That was really cool - we like the way you used the effect.

And for those of you who want to know, I just used ToonBoom Studio to make this. The video was cut down to 72 frames and runs at only 11 fps so I could finish it on time. Thanks again for commenting!
