  • Great point about history not being inevitable, that there were choice points where people were bystanders and had they taken action, justice would have happened sooner. Students need to make those connections between actions and the impact on society. As a teacher, I struggle to help the students make that understanding.

  • I thoruoghly agree with this, we do have to find the moments of joy that revitalize our strength so that we can continue to do what most of us are called to do. When we are excited about what we do it's easier to get the students excited. Once they are excited they tend to try to step outside of the negative environments that they are accustomed to to do what they can to become better students and grow as people. I am looking forward to reading more of your works.
