You have nicer skin than me...and i am 23 :( i still have some acnee problems and some acne scars...more like spots. I do all my best with skincare products. I use the roc microdermabrasion 2-3 times a week, and i use effaclar duo from roche possay... i have no idea what tot do. i hope i will end up with skin like yours one day..:)

All of our wrinkles tell a story. Mine say I have laughed a lot, loved a lot and lived a lot. Not too bad if you ask me.
My advice is keep your skin clean and moisturized daily. CLEAN is KEY.
Stay out of the sun and just enjoy your life and family.

I've had my Clarisonic for a couple plus years not and I love it! I have very sensitive skin, use the gentle brush head for it and it never gives me any problems. I love love love it. It is expensive but its one of my favorite tools and has lasted nearly 3 years of regular use.
I ordered the clarisonic mia 4 speed today.Cant wait till it comes...Lana- good thinkin on the "Ask for it for christmas,or valentines day..." I told my husband instead of him finding me a valentines gift I knew what I wanted.He said "by all means order it". I am a labor and delivery nurse and most nights it's a great job but sometimes you have to hand a child you just delivered back to a parent who you know is not worthy of the gift and it just breaks your heart. When the state has taken away her first 7 kids and she is getting another chance with number 8....that's all I'm gonna say. God bless Lana and good luck with your training.

I just saw an old vid that you did in Jan 2009 and you are looking much better now than before! I don't know if it's Genefique or something else that you are using, but your face is virtually lines free now. Most of all, you are radiating so much confidence in your vids now. Congrats I'va always wanted to volunteer for CASA. As far as beauty you have both inner and outer beauty. My boyfriend said the other day that we should see ourselves as God sees us--perfect and then we will know we are beautiful! Since then I don't even notice the imperfections that used to drive me nuts. I even have an unretouched headshot that I've decided to use instead of the photoshopped one. I noticed that the natural one does look a lot better.

We as a community were all so shocked and saddened that WE all allowed this to happen and no one did a thing. Granted none of us knew, but poor Aiyana fell thru the cracks and she was failed. @TessaCameronxoxo Every state in America has a CASA org. It's so easy. They ask you about your background and do a background check, check your references and you go to 6 weeks of classes with a few Saturdays. Classes teach you what to do and look for, how to interview children and their families, teachers and the courts take into consideration your recommendations in the best interest of the child. They work around your schedule as well. YOUR voice could help a child in need.

@mystiqueblack101 I think your skin is probably not damaged at 23 enough to use it yet. Keep your face CLEAN and use a good moisturizer. Stay out of the sun! Or use a good sunscreen. Maybe around your 30's you will be in more need of a good serum and who knows, by then there may be some miracle cream to keep you looking 23 forever! My best advice is avoid the sun, cleanse thoroughly twice a day and use a good moisturizer.
I bought the Genefique on your recommendation, Lana, and OMG.....it's changed my skin, too. You are glowing! And thank you for being such a fierce child advocate.

I've had my Clarisonic for a couple plus years not and I love it! I have very sensitive skin, use the gentle brush head for it and it never gives me any problems. I love love love it. It is expensive but its one of my favorite tools and has lasted nearly 3 years of regular use.

I ordered the clarisonic mia 4 speed today.Cant wait till it comes...Lana- good thinkin on the "Ask for it for christmas,or valentines day..." I told my husband instead of him finding me a valentines gift I knew what I wanted.He said "by all means order it". I read as much of the story as I could manage, but I couldn't manage to read the whole thing. I used to work in Social Services and it is traumatising. You are doing great work.

I am a labor and delivery nurse and most nights it's a great job but sometimes you have to hand a child you just delivered back to a parent who you know is not worthy of the gift and it just breaks your heart. When the state has taken away her first 7 kids and she is getting another chance with number 8....that's all I'm gonna say. God bless Lana and good luck with your training.

I would have given her all the love in my heart like I give my son! like you said- I'd take a bullet for my son any day! I just saw an old vid that you did in Jan 2009 and you are looking much better now than before! I don't know if it's Genefique or something else that you are using, but your face is virtually lines free now. Most of all, you are radiating so much confidence in your vids now. So much rave on Clarisonic, so I'll get one as soon as I can afford it. Like what you are planning to do for the kids; they are innocent and they can't help themselves when in trouble. Congrats I'va always wanted to volunteer for CASA. As far as beauty you have both inner and outer beauty. My boyfriend said the other day that we should see ourselves as God sees us--perfect and then we will know we are beautiful! Since then I don't even notice the imperfections that used to drive me nuts. I even have an unretouched headshot that I've decided to use instead of the photoshopped one. I noticed that the natural one does look a lot better.

Lana, I read the story on your blog and no child should EVER be treated like that. I cannot even fathom what drives anyone to hurt or kill a child. I wish you all the best as you take classes to become a CASA. Thank you for sharing your skincare routine with us. I have rosacea and have wanted to try the Clarisonic. Lana, I'm sorry to hear that you might not be around so much as I love watching your videos.However, I think children at risk or in need need a voice like yours. I think that you have found your calling and that someone like you will be very effective in advocating for kids who need help.Ironically, I watched some of your first vids last night and the difference in your skin since then is amazing. I was going to ask you privately if you've used Botox or fillers. I'm going to get a Clairosonic!

wow Lana, that is truly one of the sadest most horrific stories I have ever read. But I think it's important for people to read these kinds of things to be able to understand how lucky some of us are.. and also so that we can become more involved in our communities and with children (who I feel are sooo important) good luck with CASA, I think everyone can tell your heart is truly in it!

@l0vemak3up I agree! We all must be involved in our community. Our conservative city was in a mob rule when this happened. We as a community were all so shocked and saddened that WE all allowed this to happen and no one did a thing. Granted none of us knew, but poor Aiyana fell thru the cracks and she was failed. I hope not ONE other child is failed in this country or this world and we, ALL of us, can help to change and be a voice for the innocents. Thank You for the comment. xo

@TessaCameronxoxo Every state in America has a CASA org. It's so easy. They ask you about your background and do a background check, check your references and you go to 6 weeks of classes with a few Saturdays. Classes teach you what to do and look for, how to interview children and their families, teachers and the courts take into consideration your recommendations in the best interest of the child. They work around your schedule as well. YOUR voice could help a child in need.

@mystiqueblack101 I think your skin is probably not damaged at 23 enough to use it yet. Keep your face CLEAN and use a good moisturizer. Stay out of the sun! Or use a good sunscreen. Maybe around your 30's you will be in more need of a good serum and who knows, by then there may be some miracle cream to keep you looking 23 forever! My best advice is avoid the sun, cleanse thoroughly twice a day and use a good moisturizer.
