  • LOL fetch fetch fetch fetch LOL

  • pretty poor retrieve there...

  • Toby sucks at retreiving he shakes and messes up the bird they gotta bring it in smoothly

  • if you love huntin dogs go to my page beaglesarecooler and click hunting dogs

  • here and come? haha.... booooooo

  • you sir are wrong. hope no one follows your advice.

  • wa wa wa

  • This guy needs to watch some REAL videos to see what he is doing wrong, If your dog does not fetch on the first or second command, then why would you add a string of 20 more fetch commands and expect him to do it?

This is the worst trainer I ever saw, check out Pat Nolan for some good training tips or Evan Graham.

  • @EchosFromaBlankMind

There has been some really good dogs come from this place, just on your coments I can tell you dont know what the fuck you are doing eather.

  • @BakWoodCrazy I'll give you the benefit of the doubt about your spelling. I find it hard to think that you consider this person a good trainer, if you had any idea what a good bird dog is. You do not give the dog a fetch command until it has gone through forced fetch training, which involves holding, something that this dog was just not ready for, sets them up for failure as can be seen here. All my dogs hold at the line and respond to vocal, whistle and hand signals. Never saw any of that here.

  • This might be the worst dogtraining i have ever seen!

  • @svendkristian

I really dont think this video had any information on training, just interest....

  • Mines Irish setter wimer imer and lab is that a good combo

  • I wouldn't use a fishing pole with a "wing on a string" to test your dogs birdiness. Especially if you like take your dog fishing with you.

Instead, use a broom stick, yard stick, or any old stick. Unless you want your dog going in the water every time you cast your fishing pole.

  • @glennwa11

Dude, you use the fishing pole so you can cast the wing to puppies that way you dont have to pick it up. This tequnik has been used for years. If you thank your dog will be ruwined for life your wrong. if I tell my dog no to do somthing he wont..

  • @BakWoodCrazy Dude, You use the wing on a string only to see if puppies are birdy. If you use wing on a string too much your dog will want to hunt by sight instead of by smell. In otherwords,,,he will begin creeping after he goes on point cause he wants to see the bird, because he is so used to seeing the wing. All I am saying is dont over do the wing on a string.

  • That fishing rod and wing has not anything to do with dog natural hunting will. I wouldn't try to teach other dog handlers with video where is dog that doesn't not fetch properly, plays with object it's retrieving, drop's it all time and don't come to handler. Sorry but my dog was six month old when it retrieved, didn't drop until command and came to sit front of me with dummy. So don't train your dogs like in video...

  • @Jaatinen1982

I think he was trying to explain that when you get a new litter of pups the wing is a good tool to use. Sure the retriever did not fetch when he through the duck, and i can see your point with retrieving to hand but I think he was mainly talking about seeing if the dog has any interest in retrieving….

  • Loved it!

  • @wrestle140

    Why ?

  • Na ja, sauberes Apportieren sieht anders aus! Liegt es nun am Trainer oder am Hund? Keine Ahnung. Auf jeden Fall muß noch fleißig geübt werden...

  • the command is not fetch fetch fetch fetch fetch fetch the command is fetch. :| bad dgos though

  • @javi0880 It's not the dogs fault, it's the handler that is bad.

  • my jrt retrieves beter than that & dosent chew game that bad your dog isnt that good at all mate

  • wow ur dog sucks, i got a chocolate lab, u dont have tell her fetch 10 times

  • tbh I think this video fails - dog didn't actually completed command even it was repeated like 10 times. As well dog was chewing "pray" which isn't allowed too.

  • cant waitto train my yellow lab/golden retriever to hunt for next years waterfowl

  • To get your dog to jump into the back of the truck to put him in there, play with him, throw a ball, give him a chew toy, feed him there etc and soon he will have a want to be in the back, just remember at the start/end of a hunt put his favourite toy, or the leg of a kill, in the back for him to play with and chew.

  • i have a question. My yellow lab is trained to hunt and all. He's got it all down and can obey me easily. But my question is how do i get him to jump into my truck. I cant get him to jump in back of my truck. I have to carry him. He's about almost 1 yrs old and i know he is able to do it. But seems to not get the concept of jumping into it. Any help would help. Thanks

  • labs love food, they do anything for food and all you have to do is have a treat in your hand and say ''up'' or whatever and they will know what that means.

  • @duckhunterlimited How is your dog doing? This post 2 years old,so I am, guessing that he is jumping in and out of the truck like it's nobody's business. We live on a large property and I take my boy, a yellow lab also, with me everywhere. He is trained to not jump in until told, and does not jump out until told. So far in almost 4 years, he only jumped out once when we kicked up a rabbit, but with a little more training, we took care of it. Hope he's doing good, he's just getting into his prime

  • great! thanks for the ideas.
