as a professional truck driver myself, i follow all saftey precautions and never let my emotions get the best of me. sometimes you have to grow a thick skin about what other drivers do around you. make sure you always have enough distance between you and the vehicles in front of you. i have never been in an accident yet luckily. i dont mind being passed by faster cars and trucks either. you just get use to it after awhile.

@bigjdawg25 There are multiple studies that say having cars and trucks at two different speed limits is more dangerous then having 1 limit for all vehicles. Think about it if trucks can only go 55 while cars can do 65 on a two lane hwy, then that gives cars more incentive to weave in and out of those lanes because you will have cars that are going slower, and some going much faster. An exp. is I-5 out side of Bakersfield Calif. cars will pack up in the fast lane and trucks in the slow lane
@wolf9walker happens in Wisconsin on I-94...every time I make my trip from Chicago to Minneapolis. Of course what doesn't help there is no body seems to wanna pick a speed and you seem to get passed by the same cars numerous times

@bigjdawg25 With a (sometimes a ½ mile or more between trucks, cars will jump in the slow lane race up 80+ till they reach a truck then cut over into the fast lane and cause the cars to hit their brakes. I have seen almost several accidents because of this. If the trucks were to go 65, then the cars wouldn’t bunch up in the fast lane trying to get around the trucks, those cars would take both lanes and the traffic would even out and flow better.

I had a driver do that to me once on a 2 lane road ... I carefully managed the traffic flow and my speed and eventually got him nearly completely stopped ... I refused to let the a**hole pass after he tailgated me for 3 miles ... I timed the traffic in the other lane and kept him behind me until his speed dropped below 5 mph ... then I flipped him off and kept him behind me for about 5 more miles ... I HATE tailgaters. Until the Highway Patrol caught him and he went to Prison for Vehicular Homicide .. there is NEVER a good excuse for Tailgating ... I was willing to let him pass before he decided to plant himself on my bumper in a piss poor attempt to get me to go faster (I was already 10 over the speed limit) ... fuck him! ... I've had this happen to me, only in my case the trucker wouldn't go around me on a 4-lane freeway. There was no shoulder. I was in the slow lane going the speed limit. My response was to slow down gradually until he passed me, but I came to a complete stop with him still behind me. I floored it. By the time he got back up to freeway speed I was in the next county.
Just pull over and let him past you nob. that would be safest. If he wants to act like this get out of the way and he wont be your problem. I would have thought you filming this would have been also dangerous. Just think the trucker will most probly die befor you driving like that.

man Ive been riding around in trucks since I was like 4 years old so i have a lot of windshield time and man most of the truck drivers today are professionals but some are way to fast and way to crazy getting up right behind some. Like this guy did I understand that they want to get home and have schedules to keep but when I see this and am in a truck you just think that these guys have no business behind a truck.

i can't remember about the tag. i thought that i got his plate number though. when he was finally pulled over, the cops didn't ticket him.
the ONLY thing i did wrong was try to drive the speed limit. his behavior was irrational and very dangerous. had he threatened my life like this in any other situation, the law would give me the right to defend myself.

you know i dont care how much u piss a trucker off it doesnt give them the right to pull shit like that unless if u pull a gun on him. otherwise they need to back the fuck off no offense to other truck drivers. there is a shit load more power in that truck so it will do a lot more damage than what a car would. so if u cant handle it if someone pisses u off when you are driving a truck then its time to think about another job.

man Ive been riding around in trucks since I was like 4 years old so i have a lot of windshield time and man most of the truck drivers today are professionals but some are way to fast and way to crazy getting up right behind some. Like this guy did I understand that they want to get home and have schedules to keep but when I see this and am in a truck you just think that these guys have no business behind a truck.

Since the majority of ANY comments you might get here, come from nontruckers, I can certianly understand why they seem strange.
But as a driver, I know better. Hopefully, when/if you go to court. You will show ALL of the events leading up to this encounter. Not just the "blip" you have here.
BTW, many truck drivers do the same now. Maybe his tape will show a differant view of this event, and the circumstances leading up to it. 3 million trucks on the road. And u find the only 1 with no tag

i can't remember about the tag. i thought that i got his plate number though. when he was finally pulled over, the cops didn't ticket him.
the ONLY thing i did wrong was try to drive the speed limit. his behavior was irrational and very dangerous. had he threatened my life like this in any other situation, the law would give me the right to defend myself.

when the cops finally pulled this guy over, the was "unresponsive". he didn't say hardly anything to them and that's because i didn't do diddly to him except have the audacity to drive the speed limit.

@commieplot I agree to many times I have been doing 10 over the speed limit only to have some trucker trying to pass me on a double solid lines. SLOW DOWN you are not driving a race car Mario Crackdetty.

@commieplot hey man i agree with you on this stuff!!!!! they "THINK" they own the road. one day i was doing 73 in a 65. and the part of the interstate i was on. is 65 or cars and 55 for trucks mind you. and he past me, his trailer missed my front bumper by like 2 or 3 feet!! i was so damn pissed!! i laid on my horn for like 1 min. lol. and on another day i was doing 73 agin same part of i-75 had one fly past me must have been doing 80 to 85.

How long did it take you to talk your buddy into doing this? I ask, because I notice the truck has NO tags on the bumper. Where ALL truck tags are displayed.
Only a total idiot would try that with a Vid cam pointed at them. Totally set up IMHO.

i've gotten a lot of strange comments about those vids but yours takes the cake. maybe i faked the police report too which was filed with the city of Keene. but that reminds me... i have to call them to get the status of the pending court action.
