There are puddle lights, but they don't do anything really, and aren't even noticable unless you are in complete darkness. These lights come on only when you click the light button on the key fob, or in the parking light mode, obviously without the puddle lights. You can turn these lights plus the headlights on by flicking the high beam switch- you can't leave headlights on in this car.

Thats standard on all volvo SUV's I have the Volvo Xc90 V8 Executive and it is on mine!
