metallic sliver would actually be a better choice it only costs one as well and doesn't make you destroy your hand negating the mana accumulation. it would be better if this was played as a game ending combo.

death greeter: 1/1 for 1 black gain 1 life for each creature put into the graveyard
enduring renewal in play. than play deathgreeter and wild cantor. sac wild cantor to add 1 g and play wild cantor. It goes in the graveyard first than to your hand thus gaining infinite life! Try it with hissing iguanar and deal infinite damage!

this was a good combo and the best part is that none of the cards are crazy expensive to find.
