  • i lived there for 4 years cuz of my dads work.. i miss it in a strange way.. :')

  • bangalore is one shitty place to live, if you live out of bangalore do not make a mistake to coming and staying in bangalore you will regret it for the rest of your life, the south indian people are sorry excuses for human beings, the are dirty black, they stink have poor hygiene and food standards they also dress ugly the south indian women are ugly as hell ..ugh

ONE HONEST TO GOD ADVICE STAY AWAY FROM BANGALORE ,ITS BETTER TO LIVE SOMEWHERE YOU LOVE AND BE HAPPY THAN REGRETTING YOUR DECISION

  • This is awesome! Just been there and this was nice :-) I totally saw 6 on a motor bike!! The majority were kids, but still..... You really captured Bangalore, good job.

  • What job did you have to take you to Bangaore for 6 months?

  • "SUICIDE AT ULSOOR LAKE" MOST TOUCHING VIDEO I EVER SEEN, BY A REAL LOVER

  • not that i think that all the so called negative aspects highlighted here are negative at all though..... all a part and parcel of the place i love!

  • @manicturtle

nice video, true that you portrayed a number of negative aspects of where i live, but it isn't inaccurate at all, nor is it a problem, the video was quite funny and entertaining. i love the place exactly the way it is. i think the highlighting of the negative aspects just hurts the collective pride of the people here. if there was more focus on the positive aspects as well there would probably be a lot less bigoted comments on here.

    Nice video!

  • whats the name of the song????

  • @NotunProductsUK It's "Salaam E Ishk" !

  • this song is so off, it's hilarious haha

  • cool vid bro,

  • thank you mom and dad for not being indians :))))

  • @haicugolu

There are ppl like u, and some people who come to India and fall in Love....:)

  • @haicugolu

ps- ur from romania...?..shame to be stayin in a borin cold country with no future :)

    watch?v=tSVGXy1pbOs

  • It is a beautiful city - been there and loved it. Hotel - you get what you pay for, should have retreated for oberoi (I did). Has he gone crazy talking too the cow? As for infastructure, it is the same in every city, india should be appreciated for diversity of cultures, landmarks, history, food, people. Yeah some people are irritrable and the systems but the above makes up for it somehow. It is totally a different experience from other countries.

  • things have changed a lot now ,,first ask ur country to pay back the credit taken from our country and then shoot a documentry focusing only on negative points of the city ...

  • Firstly, this is a nice video... but when you claim you're understanding the place it doesn't mean the only thing done is ridiculing it... every country, every city has flaws... you've picked up all the flaws and compiled them here. We have a unique set of problems here in India, like there aren't in the US, or anywhere for that matter... Either way, next time, be more balanced while making a similar video.. BTW, B'lore is way better compared to most other Indian cities

  • May you tell me what the music is called please? :)

  • Very well documented....it is really an accurate description of the city, except you forgot one important thing. The India head wag... is it a yes or a no?

  • This was in 2007 my friends, things have changed now

  • sooo crowded... and the streets are too narrow. I'll stay in chennai when i visit

  • hindustanio sharm karo ye bahan ka taka angrej jhand kar gaya tumhari

  • great work! cities are still filthy! thank to corrupt politicians! bastards ate 50% of GDP!

  • 3:36, Ofcourse. An American in an other coutry autimatically expects American TV on every other channel.

  • when I was in Chicago, I saw a man shitting on The L (city train) station right on the bench early morning in winters, saw people fighting on The Taylor street. It didn't change my outlook towards Chicago as such.. I really admire the Chicago and miss it long time... What's the fuss.. it's all part of city life.. you have either got to find the good life in all the big cities or keep looking for garbage in it..

  • Anyone notice that Indian cities look like in "normal times" what Japanese towns and cities look like after they've been devastated by an earthquake and tsunami?

  • @lukebccb

Lol...hv u really been to bangalore...?

your western media shows u shit bout asian countries n u jus absorb them..lol.

N thr r lots of construction work goin on.....thats y u may b sayin that...

Im nt sayin that Indian cities r the bst in the world.....but its nowhere near to how ur media shows it..

    cheers!

  • I understood what he was trying to do..I exactly did the same when I visited Paris.

I filmed some beggars scrapping in garbage can looking for food at Momakhat in Pars.

I filmed many beggars begging cigarette.

And yeah I filmed one French guy who was with me peeing in the street..

So I empathize the guy who created this video..Because this is what his aim was like what was mine..

  • lol indians

  • Think I'll stay in Detroit.

  • @lukebccb Hahaha! that quote just made my day

  • cant wait to pee on the street real india love it

  • i'm sure there are many positive things also, but you chose only to display negatives, slumdog millionaire...

  • Is your intention to make a false opinion to everyone? Well, what ever you said is 100% true. our style of living may seem weird to you. And your style of living seems weird to us. you don't have to prick us by showing this video. You really are a PESSIMIST..Or if I can correct, you are a SADIST. next time you come to Bangalore cal me up ill show you the REAL BANGALORE

  • you are a bloody pessimist you are looking at darker side you look at brighter side you find it better than london

  • Another whinning westerner with a polarised view of the world. The Indians have 'karto chal' attitude that means they focus on the postivive and get things done

  • Thanks Jeremy for capturing all the negative things of bangalore into this video..

Its these videos which keeps each indian inspired to become a developed nation..Eventually we will get there dude.. Dont Worry Jeremy dude we r on the way..we will be there in the list of developed countries soon...but one difference when we go to poorer countries we wont make fun of them as we know how it feels.Cheers buddy-- Vj from your country Usa

  • Hey man, i think you are all right. Atleast you are good around the animals. In India we learn to share the space with all of God's creatures. I know that videos like these wind up some of my countrymen. But, i love my India, warts and all.

  • Become a fan and see all our new videos: Facebook.com / ManicTurtle

  • @manicturtle

lol, even American men pee on the street.

  • @wiigamer136 lol you must live in california, move to the east coast its better.

  • @liod27

lol, I used to live in the San Francisco bay area. Now I live in North Carolina.

  • @manicturtle abe chutia you see will see when india will be develop and indian economy will be much larger than your country, fuck you

  • Jeremy, whatever u shown does exists in B'lore. We are a developing nation with a population of 1.2 billion so it is not easy to do away with what u have shown. However, we are getting there and getting there (developed nation) fast. It's unfortunate that you didn't get a chance to see the better side. Next time when u r here, pls ask any banglorean to show u the better side & we would be happy to show u around.

  • well... not un-true... but im not really getting excited! Bangalore R to the O C K S!

make a video of I-bar, ice, city bar, ITC Royal Gardenia, Infosys, the beautifull Indian girls, the perfect weather and so on!

  • Pitty that u cldn't see the actual Bangalore

  • Jeremy , U missed Alot of things in Bangalore.., These things r just a small part of it, U cldn't see the actual, happening Bangalore.. Pitty

  • great vid. love your sense of humor

  • sure the city is the way u show it in this video.it was worse ten years back.the world is vast.with various countries.Actually there is a lot more to the world than the clean roads of US.had u been to school u would've learnt that in some african countries kids die due to lack of food..but i dont think u should go there to make this kind of a juvenile video cos u might have hungry kids staring at u like the auto guys of bangalore hoping to get some food and i know how 'troublesome' that can be!

  • next time ur in bangalore, hit me up. I can promise you a side of the city you didnt see in the 6 months u spent there :)

  • great video! I spent six weeks in the Bangalore area, visited Bangalore many times.. saw all of these things.. It is a wonderful place.

  • yeah, this guy seems to have a problem with everything. if you are travelling to a different country and trying to experience a different culture, try and blend in. he never spoke about the +ive side of the city. has he been to the food streets, to areas such as koramangala, pubs like ZeroG, shopping at UB city, if you can afford it, we have it all. it is just that the middle class in that city is thinning out- it is common to any developing nation.

    Bottomline; stop complaining!!

  • monkeys don jump on you in b'lore..don stereotype us!

  • Complex city, layered culture, paradoxes visible in day to day life, a dab of hypocrisy, simple pleasures and Beautiful people.

I can say that about every great city - Bombay, Bangalore, New york, SFO, London.....stereotypes exist because they do.

  • I live in Bangalore and this is how the city is. People who are criticizing this video cannot digest the fact that India is still a developing city and the vast majority of the population is still very poor.

  • @preethampais Good point...I mean to me this looks like Hell but I'm sure in a couple generation's time India on a whole will be much more clean and safe.

  • Another of those cribbing americans.. What exactly were u expecting before coming to India?

And yeah this is the epitome of stereotype.. I too have one that all american men are drunkards and women are whores..I sure if I go there, I will be able to shoot plenty of stuff to prove my stereotype.

Regarding stupid Indian television, we here complain that even MTV doesnt put up music anymore and what a coincidence that whatever channel he put on, played songs there.

  • Dude... I don't know who you are... but, if you choose monkeys to be your friends then what you saw in Bangalore was meant for you... Cherish the memories and miss your buddies...

  • I am about to move to Bangalore for eight months starting almost immediately, to dance. I'm only 19 and haven't been away from home or my mum/boyfriend for any longer than a week. I'm trying to soak up as much about Bangalore as possible. WOW!

  • whenever I get a chance to see the videos made by foreigners about India, the idea is always the same, whether it be on the Discovery channel or even on YouTube now for that matter. They always show the " poor and hungry "(as they call it) and old sites of India while the whole world and obviously WE know how India is today, much better than what you see on the TV or youtube.

  • Americanssssssssssssssssss...

  • I am tired of foreign media and foreigners constantly portraying India as backward. Yes we have a lot of problems, and yes we have to solve them. But showing only the negative factors like this is an insult. Every city has its good and bad. You might come from a more developed country like America, but try to learn the circumstances in which these people live. Look at the context. Don't try to go to a country and compare it to your country.

  • @vsnan1984 on the other hand, as a Bangalorean myslef i am sick and tired on OUR OWN PEOPLE portraying India as developed by showing ONLY the postives even if the positives are just 10% or even like 1% they will STILL pick only the good to show to the world... they never expose the bad. that is why these foreigners find the need to show the negatives.

  • bangalore is the best

  • Its lot more worse and lot more better...since this video was on 2007 you can check out my latest videos taken at Bangalore ...:) I still love living here...:)

  • So in all of your 6 months all you learnt about India was how to portray India in a negative light? What if we started pointing fingers at the random things in America and I dare say there are many-rather than glorify the All American dream?

  • BANGALORE ROCKS......

  • woo familiar places. :D bangalore rocks. traffic rocks. the problems rock. always exciting and alive :)

  • well atleast its better than US citiies where you see gangsters with gun, much more crime rates. you never know when there will be a bullet in your ass in america,.

  • Whats the intent of the video? Is this dude an american?

Dont all the big cities have their own problems? I have lived in bangalore and now work in downtown NYC. This place is no better.. we have beggars sleeping on the street. some drunkard who would have peed on the sidewalk..area perpetually under construction...small crappy restaurants worse than the veg restaurant he shows there...electricity dosnt go off but a fuckall weather where without electricity anyways u will die.. summer or wintr

  • Hi,, U have given most of the true facts of bangalore... but i still think u intended to show only the hatred side.. many would not like to come to bang after seeing ur video. But ppl are humble hardworking cheap labour out their .. with only aim of earning their livelihood... u missed out many things manicturtle.. may ur city sleep in peace..

  • Nice (though extremely myopic) video. I thought that six months in Bangalore would get you past the usual touristy parts-stuff that you could find out about Bangalore within five minutes of wiki-ing it. But sadly, we(Bangalore) underestimated your abilities.

Oh, and next time you come to Bangalore (I doubt you will), ask a Bangalorean to help you with the sightseeing/exploring. Not the monkeys or cattle. They don't seem to have done a great job with you.

  • the ugly truth of Bangalore ..sorry i mean India...

  • Is this the most developed city in India? How is the crime? Any European been in Bangalore? I'm going to India to live in 3 months or 1 year. I'm going in 2 years, and I really wanna know what city is the most developed

  • @frikadellur Delhi Bangalore and Mumbai are best cities in India.. Chennai and Kolkata are also metros ..It will be foolish to compare Indian cities with NYC or London or similar..however these cities are well developed and u can get all luxuries of life at a very small cost when compared to their western counterparts..and ur safety will mostly depend on ur own acts..I've been in Blore for 8 years and so many times have roamed around entire nights with frnds and never felt scared or threatened.

  • @frikadellur If u want to live in a small city try Chandigarh the cleanest city in India.

  • Thank for the idea, I would get a nice video done for this.. cheers

  • Over all nice video, which is true to some extent, but when i think of global compared to india, its not much a of diff, ex , london i have people smoking mauriana in bus and great on camera. drunkards most of them using filthy lingo, seen a local guy pissing on bus stop... ha ha. cant control. "£$%. NO respect for elders.

and most of all big racist.

  • never thought i would miss this fucking city but here i am missing blr

  • I'm from Bangalore. I love this video!

  • an interesting video. i like the honesty and objectivity of it.

  • Cool video!!! Love Bangalore... Can you take video about Chennai too

  • great job putting this video together. i visited bangalore recently like last week. i being bought up in india for 20 yrs & then spent next 20 yrs in US i can see a lot of growth in bangalore. there were cows, pissing people everywhere even 20 yrs old but now i'm amazed to see enormous growth, huge shopping center, 5 star hotels & big money. this is only going to grow bigger & bigger. we here in the US will have to just keep it watching.

  • dude how sad you are ..you came all the way from US and explored worst parts of the city ..suits you

  • He didn't see the worst....but he could have gone to nicer places which show the newer side of the city. ie. Indirangar, Whitefield, St Marks Road, etc...

  • stereo typed video ..

  • I went to banglore recently and it was nice. Lots of things to look at. Its much better than Mumbai.

  • The problems with places like Bangalore,Mumbai,US cities etc is that the rich gets richer nd poor gets poorer.True they are devoloped and technologically advanced, but providing food and shelter to all their people is where places like US,rest of India etc fails.

  • Thank you for uploading. I'm going there this summer. I am so excited!!!

  • make a vid bout the sophisticated side of bangalore nd thn talk..

  • Good job dude I love Bangalore, show us Calcutta Best

  • What a fantastic video!! This artsy mini movie makes me excited to see Bangalore for myself. Can't wait.

    Keep up the good work!

  • There are so many better places to visit in B'lore (In 6 months time I guess all you can find is a gay pub!), there are so many better things to do here (other than, what seems to be your favorite, peeing in public ... when in rome, you can still be the gentleman you promised to be right?), there are so many better people to talk to (unless all you ever wanted to do was talk to the cattle!!). 'King Jeremy', darling, there's much more to B'lore (or any other Indian city for that matter) than this

  • hahaha :-D SALAMI... Like the danich sausage....

  • Iam a Bangalorean and I must say your video is so funny ! love ur sense of humour .The problem with us (Indians) is that we dont acknowledge our problems but instead try to find an excuse .We go to foreign countries not to eat dosa or buy saree .Jeremy is from the States so he wanted to capture something which is unique and interesting to him about Bangalore .You dont see people peeing on the street and cows walking in Times Square

  • @shokietangkhul We Indians are proud of our nation and culture despite being invaded by untouchable barbarians since 700 CE. The funny thing is, Americans and other westerners don't piss in public because it is a felony and you'll be thrown in jail immediately AND you have to REGISTER AS A SEX OFFENDER (in the US) if you're caught peeing in public. The problem in India is the laws are seldom enforced and the police are not paid enough to enforce them. American police make $100k+/year!

  • Well, those of u who feel insulted by this video, before posting some hate craps, ask yourself how many times you've pee'ed in public, spat on roads and pavements, thrown garbage all around, among many other prestigious things that you've done.

Grow Up guyz...I'm fed up educating such Idiots(most Indians(who perform the above mentioned actions with esteem))..

  • Hey people...Stop behaving Childish and just accept that Our country is a third world Country(as of now)..And start thinking what you can do to transform it to the way you want it to be.

  • Looks like you made video to ridicule than understand the place...Maybe you should humble yourself a little to understand the difference between 'developed' read you and 'developing' read Indians..YOu are absolute we are not..No offence to your video, but the intention needs to be clear.

  • Make a video about New Orleans

  • But HEY! no one has financial worries or has huge CREDIT card bills. No interest no repayment shit!

  • im indian...ive been to bangalore...and i thought this was pretty funny...good for you for staying in bangalore that long :-)

  • I am an Indian..!! Jeremy has made a reasonably OK video of the real life in Bangalore.

This is a perfectly ok view of a common man's life in Bangalore but let me tell you some thing - things are changing and changed now, not completely though.

It seems to me that he lived a very normal life in Bangalore not a rich life. India is a country where if you spend more you can see luxury which cannot be compared to anyother place in the whole world.

  • Hey Manicturtle, your video is as real as it can get. I never realized how beautiful this whole world is till I left India. Given the number of defensive comments here, I find it funny that lots and lots of Indians still dont really think there is something wrong about India - corruption in every single thing in an average citizen's life, no proper pedestrian crossings anywhere in the country, open sewage , a heap of garbage in every neighborhood, the list is endless.

  • every city has good as well as bad impressions..this gentlemen has hidden all the good things nd shown only the dirty!lalbagh one of garden is 40 acres in area nd cubbon park is 334 acre..nd many more small area parks available everywhere nd this guy is telling garden city no more..so dont go with this video..he needs some medical attention...

  • that is a nice video....

    it makes me nostalgic,

no matter what you say, Bangalore is a lovely place with lovely people,

all i want is 1 plate masal dosa in a darshini after 6 months in Germany

  • Comment removed

  • NASA is really the worst pub. After having watched your video, I had to check out but they played MIDI-versions of bon jovi!

Nice places to stay are the Purple Haze (Residency Rd) or Styx (MG Rd)

  • Deepak, u should get out of the place. what are u waiting for??? I guess u are too afraid to venture.. chicken!!

  • Man, that's cool. A great insight into the everyday culture of India in Bangalore. Man, if I didn't already live in America, I'd move to Bangalore...public urination...what could be better?

  • visit Stockholm..lol

  • Dude Jeremy, I know that downtown Chicago is worse than Bangalore...I know that our Autos are cleaner than your yellow cabs...if you knew about Bangalore and we're so biased then why did you come here in the first place....BANGALORE ROCKS...your video sucks man...

  • Downtown Chicago is NOT worse than or better than any other city. It is what it is, and Bangalore/India is what it is- A land of contrasts. Jeez, why do us desis get so riled up to admit what we see everyday? Hell, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata...every place in India has this huge contrast between an a/c mall and sedans and beggars and dirt.

BTW, don't tell me B'lore hasn't changed drastically from being a true garden state in the 80's to the congested IT hub it is today. I lived there from 1988-90.

  • HAHA love that Tv channel surfing... I feel the same when I'm doing that there...channel after channel with singing and dancing... mad man's show LOL

  • I lived in Bangalore and I must agree--it is a disgusting citiy. The only good things are the stray animals and Dosas!!

  • I have a point to make

When i think of london, things that come to my mind are - red tele booths, filthy british teeth, double decker buses....

New york - illegal drugs, prostitution, gambling, harsh people, filth.....

So jeremy I dont blame u for being a stereotype because i am one too.

  • sharath1283 you said it perfect

  • @sharath1283 Yeah ..but i hope u have been to all these countries and not speaking thru ur ass. Bcuz ur patriotism seems to be coming in the way of admitting glaring in-ur-face and shameless inconsistencies..Men peeing on main streets in full view of public, horrible movies, cows, mauling dogs and open garbage. U guys are just not ready to admit that...And then U coming up with a retort like londons RED TELEBOOTHS !!! WTF!!! Man. u got some shameless nerve in ur body !!!

  • @sharath1283 please i am from Delhi an i came to study in Bangalore, and i was discriminate like hell for not being a kannadagi...!!!, the f...ing bus drivers don't even see the door if it's closed, i think they keep their brains at home...the development is only due to the whether and it industry revenue otherwise kanadagiss are harsh and insensible people mostly...and yes i have been to both new york and britian, and i was born and brought up in Delhi...

  • @pm1591989nd How can the development be due to the whether? Why is it that 30% of degree students (especially engineering) are immigrants from north India? If that's the case why do they even settle here? its not only because of the whether, its because the people are very sweet and easily get adjusted. And remember you are in India, you traveled by BMTC bus and expected a treatment like King Fisher airlines? Not all Kannadigas and Bus drivers are the same

  • @praj0506 all i am saying is that i had misconceptions about south, and now they are cleared, so i am not going back there ever.......lol

  • @praj0506 well in BMTC bus i am expected to be treated like a human, usually which is there in Delhi unlike bang-a-lore usually BMTC employs animals i think....with some or no brains at all...

  • @praj0506 and if kingfisher treats humans like humans then i guess they are humans themselves unlike BMTC drivers and conductors....

  • @praj0506 and don't say that 30% immigrants are from north, they are mostly from Bihar hiding behind the name north Indians coz they r embarrassed.., you'll rarely see any1 from Delhi...

  • @pm1591989nd

Why do north Indians hate south Indians?

  • @pm1591989nd THEN WHY THE HELL DID YOU EVER COME TO BANGALORE I AM FROM MUMBAI AND IF THE CITY HAS GONE BACK IT IS ONLY BECAUSE OF THE UGLY NORTH INDIAN HORDES

  • @sharath1283 my god i have never visited such a hostile and discriminant city....i mean if anybody from south India comes we don't ask them if they are like punjabi or kannadagi or something else but my god the teachers i had there, they simply talk to you like a beggar in Bangalore, if anybody going to Bangalore to study or work please, don't leave Delhi it's going to be a bad choice....these are hypocritical and discriminant people...i knw the wheather's good and it companies are there but

  • ha ha, great video....love the way you've put it together.

all said and done namma bengaluru rocks :).

  • LOL LOL LOL

I have spent 4 years in USA,

You will not find cows but Hippies, druggies and homeless on the streets of USA regularly......and GUESS WHAT....Cows are much safer than the above.

There are more homeless people in USA than you can find in Bangalore or India so keep the poverty out of this.

What you did not notice is the developments in India ...but for that you need an Unbaised EYE.

  • Mmmm... all that may be true... but I hardly believe there are less homeless people in India...

We all know for a fact India is one of the most populated countries around the world and you DO see homeless people there along with sweatshops and poverty.

Honestly, not biased at all. Ask Indian women about the way Indian society shapes their habits and their lifestyle...

    Have a good one.

  • Daniel....we always take the best of every thing and leave the rest...this is how we do it..and have done it in the past..foreign invaders came and went..including the british...it has prevailed...a few jeans and drinks will not destroy it...take it easy..

  • @daniel2177,

There are more homeless people in west because you don't allow slums. It spoils the look of your cities. We don't have homeless because people can put up a makeshift roof and bamboo stilts and mud walls anywhere. Not defending the illegal encroachment in cities but the point that we don't have homeless in India is not wrong.

And what is with this trying to malign hard work by usage of derogatory "sweatshops" term. Mental hardwork does not earn GE employees a sweatshop tag ???

  • Ok... so... you regard a makeshift roof as a "decent home"... fine by me. U really believe that? Let's do one thing... gimme your house... trade it for a "decent home"... give me a break!

And regarding sweatshops... whatever you wanna call them, but having someone working for 10 cents over 12 hours... for me, just IMHO, sounds like a sweatshop... It doesn't matter if it's mental or manual... it's the working conditions... and the meager salary.

Can you honestly say it's not a sweatshop?

  • @daniel2177,

Atleast a makeshift home is better than sleeping in subway stations. Come out of this either a-BMW-or-a-pedestrian attitude.

As for meager salaries, look at purchasing power parity. Cheapest haircut in my undergrad was for 10 cents..For 60 cents/day my dorm provided lunch, dinner, bfast & supper. Now compare!. Besides world doesn't owe you living. U take offer on supply vs demand of your skills. Capitalism looks for sweatshops. You ppl defended it all along, now dont malign it.

  • I guess I honestly disagree... I think both "shitty housing facilities" (at best) cannot be considered at all... this is the 21st century... if you compromise living conditions that way...

Purchasing Power Parity... ok... live with the McDonald's index then... if you can...

I agree with your remark about sweatshops... the problem is they look for them, and some countries provide the workforce... at awful meager salaries.

"You ppl"?... get over it... WE ARE ALL PART OF THE SYSTEM. Aren't you?

  • lol you should go to Kerala you would love it there... no cows walking first of all haha

  • In Kerala Cows fly

  • no we eat them dummy

  • thanks, i was thinking of applying for a teaching job there (PE). It looks like a livable place, kind of like Ho Chi Min City. Lots of garbage , scooters, but friendly people.

  • Haha, those monkeys were Awesome.

i didnt think it was that bad........i live in Connecticut, and to be honest, the when i go to Hartford or downtown NewYork and other industrial cities......they are quite filthy too.

  • Iddhiddhanna iddha haage helidhare,

    Yeddhu bandhu Yedhege odhithaare.

    Well,that means

People are not ready accept the truth.

  • Perfect guy to join BBC. They also love portraying countries like this way.

  • There am me as much as you by south India such as bangalores is danger of the

end rabies though a favorite person has and got sick.

Please do not touch the dog carelessly. It is likely to die surely if man is

    infected.

Please do not feel after the stray dog.

  • loved the video.

Being a bangalorean, it really put a smile on my face, realizing all these things I live with everyday are actually quite intruguing!

  • This is ridiculous. Technology is what brought you to Bangalore, and you don't even mention it! Have you seen the filth on the roads in New York? Perhaps you should travel in your own country before you highlight the problems in other countries.

  • TOUCHE Rupa!

  • Well Said ....

  • thanks, i enjoyed the video, the epitome of a travelogue.

  • dang it !!! you make us look like a bunch of villagers !! i don't even know what to say !!

  • Whu? Seemed around right.

  • Bangalore is all overhyped

  • Thank you Jeremy for this wonderful video...

Well you portrayed the entire of India in this small 6 min video... I just have a small question for all my fellow Indian brothers.. Why do we appreciate all the good roads and tall building all the time and want to be westernized..Err.. Its good enuf..I understand but then again we have our that special charm in our cities... You won't find it anywhere else..So lets preserve it and the modernize..Thats what we are known for....No offense..anyone...!

  • Not sure why so many people take offense at this video. I just returned from a two-week trip to Bangalore and it is what it is. While there are many cities around the world with their own problems, this shows some of the struggles between the old and the new and challenges of a growing city unplanned for. I wish I had spent more time documenting the beautiful people.

  • I worked one and a half year in Bangalore, and when I watch this video I miss the place and all my friends.

  • I have watched this video and I feel it reflects the true picture of Bangalore as of now. However, one has to understand that it is reasonably unfair to compare the civic facilities found in San Diego or San Jose (US Silicon Valley) to that of Bangalore (so called Indian Sillicon City). Bangalore is multiple hundred year old city dating back to Dravidian times, while most of US silicon Valley is a recent phonemenon (late 1960s).

  • Just to be clear, I loved the time I spent in Bangalore. It was a really cool city and I would be thrilled to go there again. The video shows the cultural/societal differences that were completely new and fascinating to me, the things I saw on a daily basis. I don't view what I showed as good or bad -- it's just real. Living in Bangalore was an amazing experience and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

  • @manicturtle ..dude the auto guy is just hoping u get in..he needs money like all of us..theres nothing wrong in him stopping in front of u hoping ull board it..

  • Why didn't you capture the good things about bangalore too?? There are so many beautiful things in bangalore. Whatever it is i absolutely love bangalore.

  • Jeremy, Bangalore was definitely garden city...You should go to Mysore and hill stations ( within 200-300kms) from Bangalore...You should have enjoyed it...

What you have missed is various temples in and around Bangalore. They are real architectural marvels...But then again you need to be cultured enough to notice the minor details and appreciate its beauty....

  • Jeremy mate,

Why did you have to spend so much of time and energy to so this? Coming all the way from the US. Have a look at this link. It might help you to focus on NY 

You might not find cows, but might find druggies near bins.

Just one among many sites....go home dude. Clean up your home....

  • Complaining about infrastructure to common man is of no use. Common man cannot put his own money into making roads, highways etc. The country will move on though. India defies conventional logic.

  • @dbca999 Actually, it is the common man who makes his nation; it is called taxes. Almost 95% of Indians don't pay any taxes. And you wonder why infrastructure is so bad!?

  • Is this the modell city of the new super power??????.
