  • We're doing this play at our school it's in less than a month and I'm a flower

  • Love this.. we are putting this scene into our end of year show :-)

  • I'm the mad hatter.. Let the training begin!

  • Ohhh jesus...Im the mad hatter and im scared XDDD

  • I'm sorry. Terrible blocking. HORRID costume design. And 3 cats? Even if you HAD to do that, the way it was done was awful.

  • @SilverDragonz333 First, they can't get too complicated with the blocking otherwise it would hinder their singing, which is more important especially in an outdoor theatre. Second, the costumes were made more simple like that because everyone in the cast except Alice makes several quick changes throughout the show and they have to practically be in and out in order to keep things moving smoothly. Third, the script actually calls for 3 cats as to give a better illusion of his disappearing habbits

  • @googlyeyeproduction I'm sorry. but no. I've done this play. And seen it done. Outside no less. You only need one cat. Just good staging and blocking. This was not. Even with the costumes as they are, no makeup at all to make it appear for catlike, first of all.

And for the vanishing re-appearing thing, sure. That might work. (If you couldn't do it right with 1) but you should not have them all on stage at the same time. It TOTALLY shatters the 4th wall.

  • @googlyeyeproduction Also, musicals get intricate blocking with singing all the time. A little extra effort could have done this. Three days of rehearsal, TOPS to get a good staging down with the song.

All in all this looks like a middle school performance with as much effort as would be expected of a middle school class.

  • I did this play and the chairs were humans in chair costumes, so we had dancing chairs!

  • I'm the Mad Hatter in my play, and our blocking for the scene is very chaotic... how do you do it so smoothly? Then again, we pull the chairs out from our characters... D:

  • I have had a crazy idea that I would like to do an alice in wonderland play using ideas from every single alice in wonderland i have ever seen including the old one that had sammy davis jr as the caterpillar now that is an awesome one.

  • dont be mean geckosist. I think they did very well. In my school play i have gotten the catterpillar and this play does a very good example.

  • dont be mean. I think they did very well. In my school play i have gotten the catterpillar and this play does a very good example.

  • Jr Australian Broadway version here and in video response :)

  • My school did this, and I was a Cat and ours was so much better than this lame thing.

  • Kinda cheesy I must admit!!! But besides that I guess it wasn't bad!

  • because my classmate was trying out for Alice she did this part and called Dinah dinner.

  • WOW u guys move around a lot and thats a bad thing

  • the alices wig is kinda messed up

  • Is that all the mad hatter does?

  • great where doing this im rose but ill help out other people (some are REALLY bad a acting!)

  • They are SUCH great singers!

    By the way..

did ur play have an ansamble?

cuzse the birthday guests are mad hatter chesire cats march hare and flowers..where are hte birthday guests?

  • Yo freaking gecko. Will you STFU? Nobody gives a flying fuck if you thought it was bad, the costumes are good, the cats are FINE and Hatter and Hare aren't supposed to hit the note you dipwad. God I hate people like you

  • OMG I just noticed something, I did this play last year and my music teacher didn't make anything of his own up! He took it all from here and made very very very very very very little changes! Now that is so stupid! So sorry!

  • geck, shut up shut the fck up omfg wtf are you doing these are kids, and i bet they did

better than you did you mother fcker

  • Okay if anyone cares i got the part of the cheshire cat 3! I am soooo exsited i cant't wait and my best friend is one of my co-cats ;)

  • LOL I LOVE HOW THEY COME IN LIKE

    WHOOO LALALALAL!

    FUNNY!

    IM A UNBIRTHDAY GUEST!THIS IS A GREAT PLAY BTW!WHAT WERE U!?

  • OMG i love this i think you guys did an AMAZING JOB! I've been studying it for my auditions. I'm trying out for the chesire cat and I can't wait.Im sooo glad you you posted this so I'll be ten times more prepared then the competition. Wish me luck :)

  • LAME You guys cut half of the scene and the costumes suck. Cast tenures for Hatter and hare also Why leave the table Costume The cats in black and have them in wooden parts of the cat.

  • @geckosist We didn't cut half the scene, I just didn't post the entire scene : big difference. I'm assuming "tenures" means tenors? The hare is in fact a tenor, and the girl playing the hatter is capable of singing a tenor...but funny story - both parts are actually written in alto range because it's a show designed to be performed by pre-pubescent middle school kids :)

  • @singindancinfool SORRY if my freakin computer doesn't spell anything right. And have you check your script they don't hit the notes dimbat.

  • @geckosist They might be basing it off the CD. On the CD, both the Hatter and the Hare sing high and don't hit the notes on purpose. Also, some productions might not have the technology or skill to make wooden cat parts, which would also be very heavy for children to carry around the whole show. And children don't normally have tenor voices.

  • @singindancinfool I actually played the hatter so don't give me crap

  • @singindancinfool what was your charechter?

  • @singindancinfool That seems like the full scene if I remember right.

  • @singindancinfool hey is this aline theater prodject

  • @geckosist I so agree

  • u r kidding me right u cant just leave the person alone like seriously get a life jerk

  • @geckosist i gonna tell you a secret...

    EVERY PLAY IS DIFFRENT!!!!

Like my play is in Soprano range and has DIFFRENT!DIFFERENT CHOREOGRAPHY!!!! SEEING THE DIFFRENCE? STOP HATING!

  • @geckosist jerk

  • LAME You guys cut half of the scene and the costumes suck

  • Im doing this for an audition and this really helped :P

  • How come it always seems like the March Hare is played by a guy? I have not seen one except for the one I am in where the March Hare is a girl........played by me!!!!

  • @evilwaffles14 youll be better than him.

  • By the way i was the white rabbit!

  • i like the chesire cats doing "can dina do this" and not the body part thing were they make the standing on your head thing. That is what we did but we had a slide for the rabbit hole,so the chesire cat said "can dina do this" and each one of them slid down the slide and said ta da. Anyways this video is great!

  • @odell121199 our kitty cats are really gonna flip the smallest cat on her head (Cheshire cat #3) and i cant wait!! we are still working on it and im Lily! but sadly we just got our Umbrellas and we all failed using them xD and sadly we were cut from I'm Late due to costume

  • How old is the Mad Hatter here? And is it a boy or girl? I'm sorry, I can't tell. :)

  • @ReasonlessSoulx I dont want to know

  • the cheshire cat holding the cookie jar is a really good actress!

  • @lilbrine550 whats with the cookie jar

  • @geckosist The cookie jar holds the cookies that make Alice change size.

  • yes but she doesn't change sizes any way so you should have had a tall Alice a medium Alice and a small Alice. in short there is no point and you can't expect me to like the cats because they should not be in costumes they should have parts of a cat to like make a whole cat

  • im alice in this show, and the show has so many hidden jokes in it! its so funny!

  • Hey singindancinfool check out my alice in wonderland videos!

  • hey singindancinfool whats the next play your going to upload? Please respond!

  • @roccorockssd You can expect another show July/August and it will be "What a Knight"

  • @singindancinfool please respond to my comments

  • @singindancinfool was this alpine theather prodgect

  • this is so terrible....

  • oh give it a rest , it a great act grats!!!

  • @PetiteAristocrat Well you see this is called a musical and when you rent (or buy) the script (according to the theater program- has permission so use all the songs featured in the script (in this case it is Disney.)

  • i play the white rabbit but im a girl lol

  • this is really awesome, I'm the mad Hatter in my school play

  • i play alice in my school play

  • Where's the accents!?!?

  • @bellafication Thank you exactly Please respond

  • haha thanks : )

the play is coming along really well, i get to run around on stage the whole time acting all crazy haha

  • this isn't very cool its kinda weird

  • that was really cool!

im in alice in wonderland jr too, im the mad hatter! haha

    any tips?

  • @MaryBAlwaysCurly just be... well 2 words:

    ABSOLUTELY MAD!

  • When we did ours, we just had musical chairs. Our Mad Hatter was a guy and March hare a girl. We had a whole group of Unbirthday partiers and we wore crazy clothes!! Ahh, I loved it.

  • Why are they all girls?

  • im the mad hatter too

  • Im the mad hatter in my play :D i cant wait to wear the big hat

  • I don't like this very much.

  • haha im the mad hatter in my play

  • OMG WE DID THIS :D THE MAD HATTER AND MARCH HARE WAS THE BEST PART OF IT XD We were all trying not to crack up back stage at them XD

  • im tryin out for it tomorrow wish me luck

  • @thebrownings did you get it the part?

  • Same Here! high five

  • does the mad hatter have a big part? i just got it in our school play.

  • kid uve got the best part

  • i loved this :) We did "through the looking glass". I wish we did alice instead.

  • Amazing! Loved it!

    They played very well! =D

  • How did they get permission from Disney to use their music?

  • It's Alice in Wonderland Jr., the rights are available from MTI.

  • oh my school did this muscial...u just buy it from somewhere

  • @PetiteAristocrat Alive In Wonderland = the Ill Use of "Separation"

  • @PetiteAristocrat dude its from show rights do you know any thing about theatre???

  • The blocking in this show with it's limited space and large, diverse cast is very creative and smart! Good job!

  • I don't like this nearly as much. Not like this in the original story or Disney's movie... If the flowers and chesire cat(s) (in my opinion, there should be only one at a time) weren't with the mad hatter or marche hare

  • our mad hatter was way louder and funny!

I was the queen of hearts, and everyone said I was brilliant, and now they don't dare come near me incase they get their heads chopped off!

  • Comment removed

  • you sound like you need a reality check.

  • we did this play to. but i think our flower costiumes were beter lol. we had giant flower hats.. i was petuniaa

  • the mad hatter and the marche hare are horrible

  • yay our Dress rehearsal's tomorrow wish us luck X_X

  • I did this play and uh... we kinda stole some of ur choriagraphy. It's really good but...

Ur lines seemed a little rushed

  • this was amazing!!!!!

  • You guys r amazing! My school did this a few months ago and the mad hatter and white rabbit were just as funny, except our mad hatter had a pink dress.

  • OUR MAD HATTER WAS WAY BETTER

  • The March Hare is horrible, and the Mad Hatter is okay. We were way better. And we had a Doormouse, who was hilarious.

  • Comment removed

  • omg our mad hatter was so much better......

  • Nice work! We are currently working on this play, and might I say, you did GREAT!

  • musical chairs is part of the play :]

this is really good! the acting and preperation is amazing!

  • was the musical chairs idea part of the play or did you come up with it?

  • Comment removed

  • It' only 30 min. cause they only put the songs on youtube not the main talking parts

  • omg ok u guys r taking way to fast was tha play like ony 30min!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Actually it was 65 minutes...

  • @singindancinfool Why did this version (even though it was very good) cut all the lines?

  • @4EverPebbles20 We didn't cut any lines, I've just only posted the song portion.

  • i absolutely LOVE the chesire cats in this!! best actors!! lol, nice job keep it up!!

  • it was cats? i couldnt understand what they were saying. "I'm... we're the chesire cat(s)"

  • Pretty good, the only negative thing I have to say is that Alice's wig is very, very off-putting.

It covers her face, and when she turns her head slightly to the side, you can't see any of her facial expressions.. defeating the whole purpose of theatre? ey?

  • believe me mine is worse

  • I'm the Mad Hatter for our Alice! I'm so excited! I love this song

  • My little cousin is the March Hare XD

lawl but my cousin is a girl.....

  • yeaaa dont like alice wearin a wig..luv the rest of it tho :)

  • lol u cant see the chairs so it looks like there floating

  • lol yeah!

  • I'm doing this musical next year

  • Is the mad HAtter a boy or girl?

  • The character is a boy, the actor is a girl.

  • Im the King!

  • I am playing Cheshire Cat 1. We rock!!!!

  • I can't watch this without being scared her wig might fall off...

  • I love how the Cheshire Cat with the cookie jar moves. She walks in a very graceful, feline way. xD

    I couldn't stop laughing to myself while watching this...^^;
