  • MJHASIRCI: Usually late summer into august.

  • thanks for this. Does it matter when you do this? After it has flowered?

  • great

  • i'm cracking up, never thought i'd see an argument on a lavender video LOL

  • Thanks, I am going to grow lavender on our farm, and these videos help. I wouldn't use the rooting hormone though...

  • Tried to watch your video and had to watch some crap about Queensland first.

    Hormones, two months ?

I'm off to the garden shop to buy some, lol.

Thanks for the video, it was well done.

  • @teagan684 Me too - I'm off to the garden shop to get some free cuttings! I'll bring my pocket knife with me.

  • Where do you get rooting hormone?

  • thanks, it'd be nice to SEE you doing it instead of talking about it.

  • Thanks. That's a beautiful video. That's what I needed to know.

  • when should one do this? at the start of the growing season or at the end?

  • @markoconroy oh yes ones a posh bottom isnt he lardy dar

  • Thank you exactly what one wants to know

  • What she meant was, if you grow Lavender from a seed, the plant will be slightly different from the original. What she did here is a cloning technique. That way the second plant is EXACTLY like the original without any DNA changes. Though when cloning, the clippings you take are the same age as the plant so you'll end up with a little plant that has genes of a 5 year old plant (assuming the mother plant was 5 years old at the time of clipping).

  • @firedragop1 bang on the nose that theres some turds on ere

  • if one species of plant gets pollinated by another species of plant, you will never know what the out come is. Just like your parents giving birth to you, you are never exactly similar to you parents. but if you clone, then you're guaranteed to have the same exact thing

  • man ur an idoit....she doesnt mean it will b a whole different plant she means itll have different traits than the one u want

  • @jdogGA15 yes she did mean it wud b a totally diferent plant from the one shes got there its a seed every seed is unique

  • @jasonw6510 lmao,learn about botamy b4 talkin to me.

  • I did a double take on that as well. I think what she meant was it would not be genetically identical, unlike a cutting which is essentially a clone of the mother plant. I love to grow from seeds & you may just get something BETTER than before. I would never discourage someone from trying to grow from seed. What she should have said (to be PC) was "I do not prefer to grow from seed because....therefor I like to take cuttings instead because...
