the difference between the space marines and guardsmen is that space marines are genetically modified to super human standards, I mean look in the codex's, the average SM stands 8-10 feet tall, and is literally RIPPED! As Zaheriel said a guardsmen is an average human with no genetic modification, if he fired a bolter it would shatter his arm like glass plus SM weapons/armor are far to expensive to manufacture in the numbers of the Imperial guard, each bolter fires a depleted dueterium rocket!

Incorrect, if a guardsman fired an astartes bolter it would shatter his arm, if he fired a standard one it would just have massive recoil.

Battle sisters use bolters and power armour and they are just hyper-religious warrior-nuns, guardsmen however are far too numerous to equip with such weaponry and equipment.(although stormtroopers would be more effective with them than battle sisters)

Yes, the authors contradict each other, in this case however 'each other' and 'black library' are one and the same.

Also, an example of a contradiction was when a squad of 10,000 year-old chaos marines got overran by civilians with lead pipes, whereas a squad of brothers of the snake managed to hold off thousands of dark eldar, who are much more dangerous than civilians with pipes.

The joints are adamantium, the helm is adamantium and affixed by what are essentially magnetic clasping pins, not only that but a space marine is capable of fighting at almost full capacity for days on end and is both far more agile and strong than anything their size has a right to be. There is no possible way a few civilians with baseball bats will kill them, ever.

Orks don't qualify, they have the Waagh field. Also, Iron warriors possibly have the best-maintained armour ever.

Dude, the reason that the imperial guard don't have bolters and power armour is because the power armour is too heavy for them to wear and normal men couldn't compensate for the ferocious recoil of a bolter, and forgetting the equipment for a sec, the space marines have enhanced musculature, agility and reflexes which no normal man could hope to match, don't get me wrong, without the guard the imperium would fall, but without the marines the imperium would have fallen long ago

Carapace armor your guardsmen use has a lot of cermite and adimantium in it as well. So don't blame the Adeptus Astartes for using all the adimantium. Besides even if the marines used guardsmen armor they would still be at least 30 times better than any guardsmen let alone Ogryn. And by the way, there are more than hundreds of thousands of space marines. At least a million considering the 2nd founding. So please do research before you knock off the space marines. Man I love the Chapter I made, I use the Dark Angels codex so I can field an entire Terminator army and I usually run one squad as Grey Knight Termies so they get psychic powers and I have two Epistolary librarians in Terminator armor and they both have Vortex of doom and Null field. They devastate other space marines. I use steel rain so I field one squad and teleport the rest in where needed, hasn't failed yet mates.
