i think her speech at the end was mostly for real. personal problems spilled into storyline. i remember reading a statement it was how the fans treated her following her split from matt hardy. she received mounds of hate mail, death threats and the chants when she came out got to her. she knew the fans for whatever reason wouldn't forgive her for something that happened off screen. I do think that she is right in some ways...she did change the way women wrestle...she made it more extreme.
Lita is the most amazing woman to ever be in the WWE. She truely did revolutionize women's roles in the wrestling industry. Trish would have been nothing without Lita.

Then she went with the worst possible superstar, EDGE. Pathetic move on her part, but overall Lita was a GREAT Superstar. Applause To Lita!
