@dorothiy this is not a piano, is "Piano's Father" this is a Harpsichord, yeah the colors are opossed to the actual days piano, but there's quite more differences
I'm learning this on piano, it's beautiful. It's missing dynamics, but it's a harpsichord... You also made some mistakes, but I would make a thousand more mistakes at that speed right now. Good playing, keep it up.
don't 'think' about the mordant. Just play it. Sounds weird, but all of a sudden it will just 'click' and you will be able to play most of the ornaments independent of what is going on in the other hand.
wow this piano is very rare.. I dont see them. The sharp and flat keys are white?

@josemontenegro777 yup can see. the sound is different. It is much more lesser keys than piano as piano have 81 or some 88 keys.
dorothiy 3 months ago
@dorothiy the different sound is because the strings are "plucked" rather than "stroked" :)

@josemontenegro777 yup agree.^^ Thx!

Does anyone know how to keep the right hand steady while you do the mordant with the left hand?

Your harpsichord looks very fine and the sound is beautiful. Very good playing.

sweet playing. these keyboards look so tiny. What are they, 4 octave range?
musicoftheuniverse 3 years ago
A little more, exactly 56 keys from G to D, as is rather usual for copies of flemish harpsichords. Thanks for commenting
