2:14 "I don't have to explain. You saw it. He beat the woman unconscious with a puppet. Oh, the papers will say that Fred Rogers won, but in my opinion, it's a dark day in Mr. Roger's Neighborhood."
Ok they edited this out. "Some people question Mr.Rogers manhood" who the hell would take that out??? This gets zero stars for messing with original material. TOtally ruined the video.
Mr. McFeely & King riday cheering...hilarious! This is genuis. I would love to have been in the meeting where someone said "Hey- lets have Mr. McFeely cheering in the corner!"
I laughed so hard during this, I almost threw up. This is great comedy. I agree with TimmytheGeek2009 and donaldoflea. This show was much funnier than SNL, and had less of a budget.
i liked the way sctv pulled you into their studio with guy cabalearo johny la rue sp? on those long Canadian winter nights. Best example when people get turned to pixie dust and have cabbage leaves behind their ears fnfunnnny so damn cheap but youd get pulled into the story AND LYAO
@DarthKreeg I agree with you, hun. SNL was only funny basically when it first came out, and then some. SCTV was ALWAYS hilarious and STILL is!! NOTHING gets me that laugh so hard you cry feeling than SCTV!!
What happened to comedy writing? Nothing today even comes close to this material. I'm probably half the age of the typical viewer of this stuff and I always got it. Everything is so dumbed down now. This is STILL hysterical, thanks!!!
this must have been when SCTV moved to NBC and the longer format..although it was still great....it lost something having to work material for an American audience...much of the early material went by the wayside, or just wasnt appreciated as much by its new audience...these guys were so good.
John Candy Eugene Levy Martin Short all writing and acting, coco vin or no coco vin you know everyone will laugh. Spread the word looks like no one knows this one.
I love how Fred Rogers (Martin Short) is putting on his slippers before the fight. This cast and the writers were brilliant...

I somehow get the feeling former Talking Head David Byrne will look like Martin Short's Fred Rogers when Byrne turns 70.
