I love Eric. I do. I met him and watched him live many times, but he could never sing. Don't let anyone fool you. He could never sing. His backing vocals were always atrocious and he was so terribly off key most nights. That being said, he was a rock solid drummer and the reason KISS was able to return as a great hard rock band.

It's Eric on his audition tape for KISS. Actually better version than what was on the Unmasked album. His All Hell's Breaking Loose is a lot better than version on Lick it Up album too.

When he sang that, he was a complete nobody. Not even 6 months later thousands and thousands fans chanted his name when he was plaing his drum solo in sold out stadiums in Australia and on the "UNMASKED" European tour in 1980.He lived his dream. RIP ERIC CARR. You are never forgotten.
